TODAY’S TOPIC: Let Your Light Shine  

Text: Luke 11:33-36 (NIV):

"11:33. No one lights a lamp and puts it in a place where it will be hidden, or under a bowl. Instead he puts it on its stand, so that those who come in may see the light.

11:34. Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eyes are good, your whole body also is full of light. But when they are bad, your body also is full of darkness.

11:35. See to it, then, that the light within you is not darkness.

11:36. Therefore, if your whole body is full of light, and no part of it dark, it will be completely lighted, as when the light of a lamp shines on you."

SHOWER (Reflection):

God created us in His own image. He made us to be His true representatives or likeness on earth. That alone is light. A light is supposed to be set on a table or higher ground where it should beam and chase away darkness from around. As light, God wants us to be His ambassadors. We are therefore urged to reflect or showcase Christ Jesus everywhere we go. Don't let it be only in church or at homes. But behave well everywhere you find yourself. And God will keep strengthening and promoting you in Jesus name, amen.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. With Your grace O God, I shall continuously beam the light that others will see and glorify Your name, in Jesus name, Amen.

2. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, my going out today must be a blessing, I won't return empty handed...in Jesus name...Amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: Be persistence  

Text: Romans 2:6-10 (NIV):

"2:6. God "will give to each person according to what he has done."

2:7. To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life.

2:8. But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger.

2:9. There will be trouble and distress for every human being who does evil: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile;

2:10. but glory, honor and peace for everyone who does good: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile."

SHOWER (Reflection):

God is ever merciful, kind and love. Don't ever think your prayers won't receive positive answers. Don't hesitate in asking as He commanded us in Matthew 7:7 to keep asking. He knows our various needs but wants to see that we get them at the right time. Persistence is act of sustaining a course or fight, keeping going and doing the right thing- never stop helping people because of their attitudes. Sometimes, the next person you are giving help may be that right person God wants to use to uplift you. 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. My father, my God, destroy every self conceited life in me and empower me to be patience and persistence till I gain the glory You meant for me in Jesus name, Amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: Living above self 

Text: 2 Samuel 18:24-33 (NIV):

18:24. "While David was sitting between the inner and outer gates, the watchman went up to the roof of the gateway by the wall. As he looked out, he saw a man running alone.

18:25. The watchman called out to the king and reported it. The king said, "If he is alone, he must have good news." And the man came closer and closer.

18:26. Then the watchman saw another man running, and he called down to the gatekeeper, "Look, another man running alone!" The king said, "He must be bringing good news, too."

18:27. The watchman said, "It seems to me that the first one runs like Ahimaaz son of Zadok." "He's a good man," the king said. "He comes with good news."

18:28. Then Ahimaaz called out to the king, "All is well!" He bowed down before the king with his face to the ground and said, "Praise be to the LORD your God! He has delivered up the men who lifted their hands against my lord the king."

18:29. The king asked, "Is the young man Absalom safe?" Ahimaaz answered, "I saw great confusion just as Joab was about to send the king's servant and me, your servant, but I don't know what it was."

18:30. The king said, "Stand aside and wait here." So he stepped aside and stood there.

18:31. Then the Cushite arrived and said, "My lord the king, hear the good news! The LORD has delivered you today from all who rose up against you."

18:32. The king asked the Cushite, "Is the young man Absalom safe?" The Cushite replied, "May the enemies of my lord the king and all who rise up to harm you be like that young man."

18:33. The king was shaken. He went up to the room over the gateway and wept. As he went, he said: "O my son Absalom! My son, my son Absalom! If only I had died instead of you-- O Absalom, my son, my son!"

SHOWER (Reflection):

 When you are a true child of God, you will know what to do at all times to escape the danger of taking God's glory. You take God's glory when you try to praise yourself or show a sign of happiness towards people that are suffering in any way. It is true that the world we live in can try everything at every time to force us to conform to it but we must allow God to fight for us. King David was not just announced as a man after God's heart. He lived it, displayed it and maintained it all through. He never projected himself when his supposed enemy, King Saul was against him. His two children who equally rose against him such as Adonijah and Absalom were shown love up to death. This is how God wants us to maintain a good relationship with Him and we will not regret it because He promised to always fight for us. And He will continue to fight for us in Jesus name, Amen.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God arise and pay back in full fold to every tongue or hand that will rise against me , in Jesus name, Amen.

2. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I am unstoppable by the situations and people around me. I will continue to rise ...in Jesus name...Amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: The price of worshipping God 

Text: Luke 9:10-17  (NIV):

 

9:10." When the apostles returned, they reported to Jesus what they had done. Then he took them with him and they withdrew by themselves to a town called Bethsaida,

9:11. but the crowds learned about it and followed him. He welcomed them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who needed healing.

9:12. Late in the afternoon the Twelve came to him and said, "Send the crowd away so they can go to the surrounding villages and countryside and find food and lodging, because we are in a remote place here."

9:13. He replied, "You give them something to eat." They answered, "We have only five loaves of bread and two fish--unless we go and buy food for all this crowd."

9:14. (About five thousand men were there.) But he said to his disciples, "Have them sit down in groups of about fifty each."

9:15. The disciples did so, and everybody sat down.

9:16. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke them. Then he gave them to the disciples to set before the people.

9:17. They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over."

SHOWER (Reflection):

First, we are sorry for not coming your way with quotations and declarations for about three days now. It was due to a technical issue beyond our control. We pray and strategies to prevent it future ocurrence. 

Brethren, today's message is very simple. We mighty have studied the particular bible message for long. Today, we shall consider it from a point of seek you the kingdom of God and every other things shall be added unto you. God is not joking when He says it because His word is final. These crowd that came to seek God's message and miracle were probably not expecting food and accommodation. But when Jesus saw they need them, He provided for them immediately. That is His way when you seek and serve Him diligently. He will give you food, wealth and other things you need to survive. Don't get tired of serving Him. Even ants and birds have nothing to do but they feed every time.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, arise and puncture everything in me that is trying to prevent me from serving You alone , in Jesus name, Amen.

2. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I shall rise above my equals without competition because God has made me the head not a tail...in Jesus name...Amen.

3. Every agenda of wickedness over my life, I nullify you in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: Overcoming the world  

Text: 1 John 5:1-10 (NIV):

 

"5:1. Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well.

5:2. This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out his commands.

5:3. This is love for God: to obey his commands. And his commands are not burdensome,

5:4. for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.

5:5. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.

5:6. This is the one who came by water and blood--Jesus Christ. He did not come by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth.

5:7. For there are three that testify:

5:8. the Spirit, the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement.

5:9. We accept man's testimony, but God's testimony is greater because it is the testimony of God, which he has given about his Son.

5:10. Anyone who believes in the Son of God has this testimony in his heart. Anyone who does not believe God has made him out to be a liar, because he has not believed the testimony God has given about his Son."

SHOWER (Reflection):

The world is under the care and command's of God. Upon the creation, God gave us power to overcome, subdue and dominate it. Unfortunately, devil is not allowing us to take control of the world again. God is telling us today that it is still possible for us to dominate, be fruitful and dominate the world. The task ahead is to love God. You can only prove it when you obey the God's command, treat others equally with love and humility.

1. Arise o God, prove to the world Your are still my God by setting on fire the negatives stigma of my life , in Jesus name, Amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: Utilise every opportunity

Text: Luke 8:40-48 (NIV):

 

"8:40 Now when Jesus returned, a crowd welcomed him, for they were all expecting him.

8:41 Then a man named Jairus, a ruler of the synagogue, came and fell at Jesus' feet, pleading with him to come to his house

8:42 because his only daughter, a girl of about twelve, was dying. As Jesus was on his way, the crowds almost crushed him.

8:43 And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years, but no one could heal her.

8:44 She came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak, and immediately her bleeding stopped.

8:45 "Who touched me?" Jesus asked. When they all denied it, Peter said, "Master, the people are crowding and pressing against you."

8:46 But Jesus said, "Someone touched me; I know that power has gone out from me."

8:47 Then the woman, seeing that she could not go unnoticed, came trembling and fell at his feet. In the presence of all the people, she told why she had touched him and how she had been instantly healed.

8:48 Then he said to her, "Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Bible says that faith is assurance of things hoped for and evidence of things not seen, adding that it is by it we shall see God. Because we know that faith heals and command's respect, we must not joke with it. If you don't apply faith, you may never go far in life. A woman with issue of blood understood this and had to summon courage to touch Jesus' cloak when others were interested in having Him to pray for them or visit their houses. This is a reality of life. Sometimes what God would use to heal or set us free from bondage may be to just say "I am healed" or carry any work for God in church, neighborhood or so. So never neglect these things when you see them. Opportunity comes once. Invest in yourself and you will see reasons to praise God. Be fearless and you will go higher in life as already ordained by the God, almighty.

1. O God my father, empower me to discover and utilise every opportunity in life for Your goodness, in Jesus name, Amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: Beware of God you serve

Text: 1 John 4:1-10 (NIV):

"4:1. Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

4:2. This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God,

4:3. but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.

4:4. You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.

4:5. They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them.

4:6. We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood.

4:7. Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.

4:8. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

4:9. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.

4:10. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins."

SHOWER (Reflection):

We are told today to test every spirit to be sure it is from God before we can accept. Don't just jump from one church or place of worship to another without inquiring from God. Be sure it is Godly, serves the true God and stands for God. God loves, so His children and church must love unconditionally too. 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God my father, lead me to Your true worship Centre so that I don't walk and worship amiss in Jesus name, Amen.

2. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I subdue the power of fresh, and march on to win the crown in Jesus name...Amen.

SHOWER (Reflection):

We have reflected over the wonder working powers of God. He is not relenting. I want to assure you that He is still the same God you know yesterday, today and forever. And He will never disappoint us. If He did all these to set the Israelites free, what do you think He cannot do for your sake. He created us in His own image and will never allow us to stumble or suffer. He shall visit you this week in a very wonderful way at your own point of needs in Jesus name, Amen.

1. O God my father, because You are alive, in this second week of June, I will never lack or thirsty in Jesus name, Amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: Praise the all knowing God 

Text: Isaiah 40:10-20 (NIV):

"40:10. See, the Sovereign LORD comes with power, and his arm rules for him. See, his reward is with him, and his recompense accompanies him.

40:11. He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young.

40:12. Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, or with the breadth of his hand marked off the heavens? Who has held the dust of the earth in a basket, or weighed the mountains on the scales and the hills in a balance?

40:13. Who has understood the mind of the LORD, or instructed him as his counselor?

40:14. Whom did the LORD consult to enlighten him, and who taught him the right way? Who was it that taught him knowledge or showed him the path of understanding?

40:15. Surely the nations are like a drop in a bucket; they are regarded as dust on the scales; he weighs the islands as though they were fine dust.

40:17. Before him all the nations are as nothing; they are regarded by him as worthless and less than nothing.

40:18. To whom, then, will you compare God? What image will you compare him to?

40:19. As for an idol, a craftsman casts it, and a goldsmith overlays it with gold and fashions silver chains for it.

40:20. A man too poor to present such an offering selects wood that will not rot. He looks for a skilled craftsman to set up an idol that will not topple.

SHOWER (Reflection):

Praise be to God, the Almighty for making us to see this day. We thank Him for a new day, new life, and new opportunities. If not Him, it wouldn't be possible. Like today's reading implies, He leads us, tends us like His flocks and will never allow us to go hungry or miss road. Before Him all the nations are nothing but He makes all to become something. As we go to our various churches to praise Him today, let's not forget to thank Him for what He is doing for our parents, siblings and relatives... Hand over everything about you to Him, and He will lead us to succeed in this season of hard times in Jesus name, Amen.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God my father, I bless Your Holy name today for leading me to a new week. Be thou exalted in the highest in Jesus name, Amen.

8:15. By me kings reign and rulers make laws that are just;

8:16. by me princes govern, and all nobles who rule on earth.

SHOWER (Reflection):

Be guided by wisdom this season. Do not endanger your life because of hard time or bad economy. God is wisdom and gives it accordingly to those who request for it. Once you allowed yourself to be guided by wisdom, you will know how to manage the meagre resources at your disposal, where to go at every material time, how to manage the little time you have and so on. That little money you have can also help invest in business opportunities abound in your area. Just look well and you will identify opportunities to go higher in Jesus name.

TODAY’S TOPIC: Evidence of good living

Text: Galatians 5:22-26 (NIV):

5:22. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

5:23. gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

5:24. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires.

5:25. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.

5:26. Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other." 

SHOWER (Reflection):

Welcome to the month of June, 2023. As we step into this month, may the joy of God envelope and lead us all through in Jesus name, Amen. June is the 6th month of the year and stands for joy. It is good time to access yourself for the year, review your activities for the past five months and see if you are still working accordingly or needs to change for good or bad. There is need for addition or improvements in all we do. This month presents us with such opportunity. It is a thing of joy we are starting the month with the fruit of the Spirit or evidence of accepting Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and saviour. Anyone who finds Jesus finds love. And must therefore bear this fruits listed here. Search within you to know if you run contrary to this gifts and make an amend. Today is still a better day to make a right choice.  

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, my father, I thank You for a new month, new day and mid week. Jesus, I surrender my life to You, make me healthy and able to survive this month, in Jesus name, Amen.

2. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I destroy every stumbling block to my spiritual, physical and financial emancipation this month, in Jesus name...Amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: Dependent children 

Text: Psalm 104:19-28 (NIV):

104:19. The moon marks off the seasons, and the sun knows when to go down.

104:20. You bring darkness, it becomes night, and all the beasts of the forest prowl.

104:21. The lions roar for their prey and seek their food from God.

104:22. The sun rises, and they steal away; they return and lie down in their dens.

104:23. Then man goes out to his work, to his labor until evening.

104:24. How many are your works, O LORD! In wisdom you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures.

104:25. There is the sea, vast and spacious, teeming with creatures beyond number--living things both large and small.

104:26. There the ships go to and fro, and the leviathan, which you formed to frolic there.

104:27. These all look to you to give them their food at the proper time.

104:28. When you give it to them, they gather it up; when you open your hand, they are satisfied with good things. 

SHOWER (Reflection):

We are like human body before God. All parts of the body; from head to toes could claim to be independent of each other. But when something happens to one, all others cry or suffer the pains too. Children of God, we are creatures before God. He who created us, can live alone but we cannot stay on our own without Him. Verse 27 of today's reading said we are all look up to Him to give us food at the proper time. SHOWER (Reflection):

It is very unfortunate that many of us only respect or obey people when we need favour from them. Many parents also treat their wards well just because they expected presents from them in future not because they want them to live a healthy life or love God. Today's teaching want us to embrace good life not matter. Do not show respect, treat kind, threaten or so because of one favour or the other you want. We must be strong in the lord and serve God with all our hearts, our minds, what we have and what we can do.

3:5. People went out to him from Jerusalem and all Judea and the whole region of the Jordan.

3:6. Confessing their sins, they were baptized by him in the Jordan River.

3:7. But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to where he was baptizing, he said to them: "You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath?

3:8. Produce fruit in keeping with repentance.

3:9. And do not think you can say to yourselves, 'We have Abraham as our father.' I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham.

3:10. The ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire."

SHOWER (Reflection):

When a tree produces good fruits, the owner shields it from cutting, trimming or so. The owner will take care of it manure , protect it from animals and other things that can harm or destroy it. But when a tree does not beer fruits, it will be cut down and replaced with new. This same scenario applies in the Church of God or Christendom. Anyone who must serve God must do this in truth and honesty, allowing their character and life to show. Do not be showing your goodness only in a church or neighborhood. Let your 'yes' be 'yes' and 'no' be 'no' any everywhere. May God help us to preach His word by living a good life in Jesus name, Amen.

Do not hope or work on your capacity, let God's anointing in you lead you. You need to request for it day and night, and work directly with it. When God visit you, you will be anointed. It was after God anointed Saul a King that he became a prophet. David begun to do and flee away from more dangers after his encounter with God's anointing. What of Saul that was changed to apostle Paul or Peter that preached with boldness after God's anointing. Brethren, I pray for you to receive God's anointing that will promote you in Jesus name, Amen.

SHOWER (Reflection):

 A young man somewhere was asking God to make him rich with a promise to help the poor in his community and so on. He claimed to be feeling their impulse and wanted a better society.

 One day, he found some shining stones in his farm. His mind told him that it must not be just an ordinary stone because he heard severally on radio that his community had gold. He also learnt about how having golds could make one rich. 

So he took one as a sample and reported to one of the government approved miners. On finding out that it was a gold, they changed his status and life. Unfortunately, on coming to takeover his land for more mining activities, he claimed ownership of some of his neighbours lands and properties so that he will enjoy more monopoly of the wealth of compensation... 

This is how humans pay back to God always. We promise to serve Him better, do this and that but once lifted, we will forget Him and start terrorising the society. Brethren, praising God is not only by giving offerings in the Church, acquiring and gifting properties to Church or religious leaders, or eating and drinking. It is more than that. It includes giving back to the society, loving and uplifting your neighbours, supposed enemies, etc. May God help us to learn and do this in Jesus name, Amen.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God my father, purge me of every act of wickedness and pride so that I shall serve You better when blessed, in Jesus name... Amen.

 With wisdom, you will escape from temptations, overcome challenges, subdue problems and issues. Wisdom is godly gift. Solomon requested for it and used it to do exploit. You need it to succeed in life. Before you venture into that business, trip or whatever, ask God for a wisdom to direct your path. He will surely not let you down in Jesus name, Amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: Man Know Yourself 

Text: Luke 7:1-10 (NIV):

"7:1. When Jesus had finished saying all this in the hearing of the people, he entered Capernaum.

7:2. There a centurion's servant, whom his master valued highly, was sick and about to die.

7:3. The centurion heard of Jesus and sent some elders of the Jews to him, asking him to come and heal his servant.

7:4. When they came to Jesus, they pleaded earnestly with him, "This man deserves to have you do this,7:5because he loves our nation and has built our synagogue."

7:6. So Jesus went with them. He was not far from the house when the centurion sent friends to say to him: "Lord, don't trouble yourself, for I do not deserve to have you come under my roof.

7:7. That is why I did not even consider myself worthy to come to you. But say the word, and my servant will be healed.

7:8. For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one, 'Go,' and he goes; and that one, 'Come,' and he comes. I say to my servant, 'Do this,' and he does it."

7:9. When Jesus heard this, he was amazed at him, and turning to the crowd following him, he said, "I tell you, I have not found such great faith even in Israel."

SHOWER (Reflection):

When you know yourself it will be very easier for you to take control of whatever situation around you. This is called knowledge of oneself. If you know or understand yourself, it will equally be easier for you to introduce or explain yourself to others. A centurion understood this and was able to apply it accordingly. That was why he was able to inform Jesus not to bother Himself coming to his house again. He knew that wether He comes to His house or not, whatever He says should happen to that house will surely come to pass. As a leader who command's soldiers and servants to carryon several errands and they do them diligently, why won't Jesus command's to Satan or sickness receive instant answers? That was what moved the centurion and it worked for him immediately as the sick under his roof got instant healing. Child of God what is still keeping you one place to date? We need this kind faith to grow and go higher in life. You can only get this by having true knowledge of the word and yourself.

Today's message is encouraging us not to feel relaxed or think that we can get everything on a platter. You must strike to achieve a success. Then God will assist you to reach your zenith. Consider the ants how they grow and go places in search of what to eat and storing them ahead of time. Just keep going, and God will keep shielding and empowering you to become successful.

 For the fact that He created me in His own image, He has not left me unattended to. I am His creature and working tools in His hands. He will keep using me whether I like it or not because He loved and cherished me. God's love is higher and incomparable. If not for Him, I could have died before today. Therefore, I must give Him thanks and praises so that we do more in my life and family. O God be praised today and forever for Your love unto me are wonderful. We glorify Him for a new life, new day, laughter, food and other goodies.

As this week draws to end, God will raise you to shine. All that you have lost in the past will be recovered before Monday, in Jesus name, Amen. People will know that you are child of God. Your enemies will wake up to honour you, foreigners and strangers will discover you worth and come to honour you. God Almighty will not abandon you in Jesus name, Amen. 16:24. Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.

16:25. "Though I have been speaking figuratively, a time is coming when I will no longer use this kind of language but will tell you plainly about my Father.

16:26. In that day you will ask in my name. I am not saying that I will ask the Father on your behalf.

16:27. No, the Father himself loves you because you have loved me and have believed that I came from God.

16:28. I came from the Father and entered the world; now I am leaving the world and going back to the Father."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Indeed, Christ Jesus has overcome the world through His death on the cross to set us free. In overcoming the world, the death was defeated so that we may also defeat same. Bible says that God gave us power to march on scorpions and snakes, assuring that nothing will happen to us. When one believes in this, there won't be difficulty in thrashing out issues of lives. You dared not worry about food or sickness troubling you because He holds the key to all and will determine usage of all things accordingly. Trust Him and see yourself rising above sicknesses, pains, agony, poverty and deaths in Jesus name, Amen.

SHOWER (Reflection):

Apostle Paul wrote to assure his colleagues how much he loved them, how much he cared about them and wished them to sustain the gospel and tempo of good work. How many times did you devote time in reaching out to other brethren? How many times do you pray for others? Or are you among those who complain, criticize only or revolt against other brethren? Let this letter guide us on good relationship with others, good apostleship of Jesus Christ, good lover and prince of Christ. 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

5:12. Above all, my brothers, do not swear--not by heaven or by earth or by anything else. Let your "Yes" be yes, and your "No," no, or you will be condemned.

5:13. Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise.

5:14. Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord.

5:15. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven.

Do not think you are free since things seemed to be moving for you. You need to assist others around you and within to live up to their expectations and worship God well. Today's teaching is talking about importance of prayers, togetherness, preaching, giving and above all, honesty. Let your yes always be your yes, and your no, always no. Do not conform to the world for anything.

TODAY’S TOPIC: God is our greatest provider 

Text: Matthew 6:25-34 (NIV):

"6:25. Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?

6:26. Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?

6:27. Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?

6:28. "And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin.

6:29. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.

6:30. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

6:31. So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?'

6:32. For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.

6:33. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

6:34. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."

SHOWER (Reflection):

God is the greatest provider. When you diligently seek Him, serve Him and depend on Him, He will amaze you with provisions. This particular passage we are reading today is one of the greatest message we all should study, meditate and abide by always. As children of God, who admitted that we were created in His own image, there is nothing to worry about life. Animals of all kinds are been provided for daily. So also He provides to us. Do you think your working hard or hardworking matters most in your income? It is God who makes it work. A young researcher told a testimony of how he spent five days in a trip to Lagos for a research. He said that while returning to his base in Awka, he got information from his supposed respondents to also come to Abuja in four days time. He accepted their requests to come but there was no money because he was the person sponsoring the trip and research. He trusted God and moved on to offer thanksgiving for a successful journey in his church same day. According to him, before the day closed, he got two small  contracts online that have him ₦15,000. More came the following day and he had enough to travel with. That's what this passage we read today is trying to explain to us. It is not saying that you shouldn't work. No! It is telling us to trust in God always and never use excuse to run away from God's work as He will always bless you when you need Him most. Worry not but trust in God!!!

1. Anything in me, around me or within me trying to deprive me of God's favour, perish now in the name of Jesus... Amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: Succeeding without the success 

Text: Deuteronomy 34:1-7 (NIV):

34:1. Then Moses climbed Mount Nebo from the plains of Moab to the top of Pisgah, across from Jericho. There the LORD showed him the whole land--from Gilead to Dan,

34:2. all of Naphtali, the territory of Ephraim and Manasseh, all the land of Judah as far as the western sea,

34:3. the Negev and the whole region from the Valley of Jericho, the City of Palms, as far as Zoar.

34:4.. Then the LORD said to him, "This is the land I promised on oath to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob when I said, 'I will give it to your descendants.' I have let you see it with your eyes, but you will not cross over into it."

34:5. And Moses the servant of the LORD died there in Moab, as the LORD had said.

34:6. He buried him in Moab, in the valley opposite Beth Peor, but to this day no one knows where his grave is.

34:7. Noses was a hundred and twenty years old when he died, yet his eyes were not weak nor his strength gone.

SHOWER (Reflection):

There is need for you to pray and work against any spirit of near success syndrome or achieving success you cannot join in celebrating. It is just dying a day one is to collect an award or certificate or collecting appointment letter and salary only to die before reaching home. Moses like we all know, was used by God to librate the Israelites from the hands of Pharaoh and Egyptians. Unfortunately, God told him and Aaron that they won't enter the promised land. This was due to how they displayed act of unfaithfulness in the book of Numbers 20:23-29. He was instructed by God to speak to the rock and it will gush out water. But he went and hit the rock two times. This kind disobedience has caused many lives. You know the worst is that it makes them to labour for others to eat. May God not allow us to see same situation in Jesus name, Amen. The only way is to pay attentiveness to God's words and follow it diligently without fear or favour. 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God my father, humble my ears and eyes to be attentive and diligently follow Your word without mistake in Jesus name, Amen.

12:2. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.
12:3. For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you.
12:4. Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function,
12:5. so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others."

SHOWER (Reflection):
We are charged to offer our body as living sacrifice because it is temple of God. We are created in God's own image and likeness. Therefore, we must not conform to the things or pattern of the world. Again, today's teaching is reminding us the needs to love one another, appreciate others gifts and allow them to manifest their God's gifts as we manifest ours. Don't see your own as the best or only perfect gift. A preacher cannot preach when there are no congregation, prayer warrior is to be complemented by a singer or preacher, Viz . May God help us to understand this and carry others along when we perform the works of God and wherever we are in Jesus name, Amen.

4:8. Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.

4:9. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling.

4:10. Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms.

4:11. If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen."

SHOWER (Reflection):

If one must serve God diligently, he must serve the people around him. Don't wait to be served. Be the one to offer the services to all whenever the need arises. If you can't do this, how then can you serve God you don't see? Again, you can only serve well when you are self controlled, you are able to restrain yourself where possible, assert control when needed, and so on. Speak when there is need and like child of God. That is what today's teaching is teaching us about. Once again, be a good listener, speak like God because we are His representatives, offer a better services and you will not only be saved but help to save others.

TODAY’S TOPIC: Visitations by God of difficult hours
Text: Luke 5:1-10 (NIV):

5:1. One day as Jesus was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret, with the people crowding around him and listening to the word of God,
5:2. he saw at the water's edge two boats, left there by the fishermen, who were washing their nets.
5:3. He got into one of the boats, the one belonging to Simon, and asked him to put out a little from shore. Then he sat down and taught the people from the boat.
5:4. When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, "Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch."
5:5. Simon answered, "Master, we've worked hard all night and haven't caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets."
5:6. When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break.
5:7. So they signaled their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink.
5:8. When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus' knees and said, "Go away from me, Lord; I am a sinful man!"
5:9. For he and all his companions were astonished at the catch of fish they had taken,
5:10. and so were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, Simon's partners. Then Jesus said to Simon, "Don't be afraid; from now on you will catch men."

SHOWER (Reflection):
Do not be surprised or run away when things seemed not to be moving smoothly. It could be God o'clock...the time God wants to visit you with blessings no one can count. Here disciples were tired and probably thinking of what to tell their family members after a toil without fish. Jesus intervened and they caught unimaginable! This kind of story happened to Joseph when he was only busy interpreting the dream he had and solutions, God made him a governor. Such a thing can still happen to you if only you can tarry faithfully. Today, God will surprise you with your dream job or contact, in Jesus name, Amen.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O Jesus, give me the grace and wisdom to hold on until when my destined promotions will arrive in Jesus name, Amen.

1:8. Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy,

1:9. for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

1:10. Concerning this salvation, the prophets, who spoke of the grace that was to come to you, searched intently and with the greatest care,

1:11. trying to find out the time and circumstances to which the Spirit of Christ in them was pointing when he predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow.

1:12. It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves but you, when they spoke of the things that have now been told you by those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Even angels long to look into these things.

SHOWER (Reflection):

 In everything you or go, always set your goals. A goal is a target, objective, missing and vision, template or blueprint which guides as steps to actualise and strain greater heights. Bible says we should adhere to this in our daily, family and personal lives. Whoever sets heaven as a target, will endeavor to be Holy and live holy lives all through. That is what today's teaching is telling us. We will be rewarded abundantly when we do this in Jesus name, Amen.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. I have set my goals in Jesus that I will serve Him only and work for Him alone to wear the crown in Jesus name, Amen.

2:4. and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure,

2:6. For the LORD gives wisdom, and from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.

2:7. He holds victory in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless,

2:8. for he guards the course of the just and protects the way of his faithful ones.

2:9. Then you will understand what is right and just and fair--every good path.

2:10. For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul."

SHOWER (Reflection):

 Wisdom is very expensive. But if you desire it and generously search for it, God will give it to you. It will make your way right, prosperous and healthy. Do not hesitate to request for anything good from God. He will not deny you of them so far you are ready to use same to serve Him in truth and honesty. Go you to the world this week and make things better to others because God has destined you to succeed.

TODAY’S TOPIC: Light that recreates our world

Text: 2 Corinthians 4:5-15 (NIV): 

"4:5. For we do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake.

4:6. For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.

4:7. But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.

4:8. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair;

4:9. persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.

4:10. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.

4:11. For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus' sake, so that his life may be revealed in our mortal body.

4:12. So then, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you.

4:13. It is written: "I believed; therefore I have spoken." With that same spirit of faith we also believe and therefore speak,

4:14. because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you in his presence.

4:15. All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Jesus is the most Lord. He is the light. Every light gives life, removes terrorism, fear, disfavour and failure. Do not bother about the world and terrible happenings around. Once you are in Christ, you become a new creature, image and powerful. Seek Him now. He will do greater things in your life this week...in Jesus name, Amen.

Prayer before the Word: 

 _ O God, I thank You for yet another day. I magnify Your name because You are my God and all I have. Please, use me according to Your will and prosper me in Jesus name, Amen_ 

 

TODAY’S TOPIC: Tempted to be lifted 

Text: Luke 4:13- 21 (NIV): 

"4:13. When the devil had finished all this tempting, he left him until an opportune time.

4:14. Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and news about him spread through the whole countryside.

4:15. He taught in their synagogues, and everyone praised him.

4:16. He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom. And he stood up to read.

4:17. The scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. Unrolling it, he found the place where it is written:

4:18. "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed,

4:19. to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor."

4:20. Then he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant and sat down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fastened on him,

4:21. and he began by saying to them, "Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Brethren, temptation does not come to you in vaịn. It comes to try you as fire tries iron and remold them to become stronger, reshape and more useful. When Jesus returned from where He was tempted, bible says He became stronger and famous. That was because He didn't allow the tempter to have his way in His life. Therefore, I pray for you that you will become stronger in faith and wealth after the storm in Jesus name, Amen. You are unstoppable! Go you rejoicing!

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God of yesterday, today and tomorrow, favour me today with that job or contract that will surprise the people around me in Jesus name, Amen.

2. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, this Saturday will not be my last but th Jesus name, Amen.

3. O God arise, multiply my finances, bless my family and uplift my economy before the end of this week, in Jesus name, Amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: God will set the wicked on fire

Text: Psalm 11:1-7 (NIV): 

"11:1. In the LORD I take refuge. How then can you say to me: "Flee like a bird to your mountain.

11:2. For look, the wicked bend their bows; they set their arrows against the strings to shoot from the shadows at the upright in heart.

11:3. When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do?"

11:4. The LORD is in his holy temple; the LORD is on his heavenly throne. He observes the sons of men; his eyes examine them.

11:5. The LORD examines the righteous, but the wicked and those who love violence his soul hates.

11:6. On the wicked he will rain fiery coals and burning sulfur; a scorching wind will be their lot.

11:7. For the LORD is righteous, he loves justice; upright men will see his face."

SHOWER (Reflection):

For your sake, for our sake, God will the wicked on fire. He is out to prosper and uplift you this month and beyond in Jesus name,  Amen. He is in the holy temple watching on us and planning to pay us accordingly. So never get discouraged, fear or troubled because the wicked looks fresh now. A day is coming when you will not find them again. God is with us. 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God my father, rest the souls of the wicked since they refused to repent, in  Jesus name, Amen.

2. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, any power that is on assignment to pull me down, fall down and die now in Jesus name, Amen.
