Prayer before the Word: 

 _ O God, my King, my Your name be highly glorified for the gift of life. Forgive my trespasses. Please, show me Your way, and assist me to follow it to the end in Jesus name, Amen_ 

TODAY’S TOPIC: My stranger 

Text: Colossians 4:1-6 (NIV):

"4.1. Masters, provide your slaves with what is right and fair, because you know that you also have a Master in heaven.

4:2. Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.

4:3. And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains.

4:4.;Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should.

4:5. Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity.

4:6. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Stranger is assumed to be an unknown person, visitor or observer, depending on the context it is being discussed. In today's bible passages, strangers could also be your saviour. If you look the parable of good Samaritan, you will see that a stranger can be your saviour, destiny helper or God's angel. That is why you should treat all equal and better. You make do with what an opportunity presents to you. That stranger might have been sent to uplift you because God designed everything His own way. If you don't utilise it, you may loose it forever. Don't disperse them...rather study and prayerfully take care of strangers to see if God will bless and uplift you. 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, my father, open my eyes to recognise and walk in good way with every stranger you sent to uplift me in Jesus name I pray, Amen.

2. I am servant of the Most High God. I resist satanic plans to deprive me access to my destiny helpers and promotions in Jesus name, Amen.

3. December 2022, what are you still waiting for to bless me? Loose yourself now and allow God to change my story for good before 25th; in  Jesus name, Amen!!!

TODAY’S TOPIC: Be attentive to God's word

Text: Isaiah 21:1-10 (NIV):

"21:1. An oracle concerning the Desert by the Sea: Like whirlwinds sweeping through the southland, an invader comes from the desert, from a land of terror.

21:2. A dire vision has been shown to me: The traitor betrays, the looter takes loot. Elam, attack! Media, lay siege! I will bring to an end all the groaning she caused.

21:3. At this my body is racked with pain, pangs seize me, like those of a woman in labor; I am staggered by what I hear, I am bewildered by what I see.

21:4. My heart falters, fear makes me tremble; the twilight I longed for has become a horror to me.

21:5. They set the tables, they spread the rugs, they eat, they drink! Get up, you officers, oil the shields!

21:6. This is what the Lord says to me: "Go, post a lookout and have him report what he sees.

21:7. When he sees chariots with teams of horses, riders on donkeys or riders on camels, let him be alert, fully alert."

21:8. And the lookout shouted, "Day after day, my lord, I stand on the watchtower; every night I stay at my post.

21:9. Look, here comes a man in a chariot with a team of horses. And he gives back the answer: 'Babylon has fallen, has fallen! All the images of its gods lie shattered on the ground!'"

21:10. O my people, crushed on the threshing floor, I tell you what I have heard from the LORD Almighty, from the God of Israel."

SHOWER (Reflection):

When the prophets speak, sometimes it is hard to be understood. But God's word is like two edged sword; it takes a critical look, wisdom and knowledge to be understood. Our God is by this word, urging us to repent as our trusted allies, gods and goddesses are powerless and failures. They always fail when you need them most. But God almighty helps, saves and uplifts especially when you less expected. What a contrast! God comes when people believed that your own is gone! He comes when people already wrote you off. And His word is usually the last bus stop. It was when Sampson was at the verge of death that bible recorded that he killed more people. 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, make me to know You! O God, bring me closer to You and save me. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

2. Every obstacles on my way to success, die so that I must move forward. In Jesus name, Amen.

3. The favour that will shake and surprise the world around me, fall on me now in   Jesus name, Amen!!!

TODAY’S TOPIC: Be ready to defend yourself 

Text: Luke 21:5-14 (NIV):

"21:5. Some of his disciples were remarking about how the temple was adorned with beautiful stones and with gifts dedicated to God. But Jesus said,

21:6. "As for what you see here, the time will come when not one stone will be left on another; every one of them will be thrown down."

21:7. "Teacher," they asked, "when will these things happen? And what will be the sign that they are about to take place?"

21:8. He replied: "Watch out that you are not deceived. For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am he,' and, 'The time is near.' Do not follow them.

21:9. When you hear of wars and revolutions, do not be frightened. These things must happen first, but the end will not come right away."

21:10. Then he said to them: "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.

21:11. There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven.

21:12. "But before all this, they will lay hands on you and persecute you. They will deliver you to synagogues and prisons, and you will be brought before kings and governors, and all on account of my name.

21:13. This will result in your being witnesses to them.

21:14. But make up your mind not to worry beforehand how you will defend yourselves."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Defence is a mechanism by which person or people are expected to prove their worthiness or showcase evidence or surety of their action or cause they are fighting. But Jesus is talking about what will happen at last on the last day; when the trumpet will sound everyone is expected to tell God why he/she did this or that, including how they were able to carry-on the purposes by which they were created. Don't worry about fake prophets and prophesies but remain focused on living a purposeful life. 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. By your power O God, I resist every satanic utterances and craftiness to make me empty in Jesus name I pray, Amen.

2. O God arise, send my destiny helpers to locate, honour and uplift me with good tidings in this Yuletide. In Jesus name, Amen.

3. Agenda of the wickedness over my life this season, I return you to your senders in  Jesus name, Amen!!!

Reconciliation

TODAY’S TOPIC: Reconciliation  

Text: Colossians 1:15-23 (NIV):

"1:15. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.

1:16. For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him.

1:17. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

1:18. And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy.

1:19. For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him,

1:20. and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.

1:21. Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior.

1:22. But now he has reconciled you by Christ's physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation--

1:23. if you continue in your faith, established and firm, not moved from the hope held out in the gospel. This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Reconciliation is process of making peace or bringing back enemies (or people who held contrary views in the past due to selfish needs). To reconcile, is to reconnect, reshape and revive people again. We are sinners, and it separated us from God. However, Christ came and died on the cross to bring us and make peace between us and God. This is commendable and should be valued by all. If you want to experience it before hand, try to cause feud with your benefactor and see how life would be with you throughout the period. Let us acknowledge Him in our behaviour. 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, I am sorry for not living to the standard You created me to be due to sins. Have mercy and reshape me again. I promise not to disappoint You again in Jesus name, Amen.

2. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I resist all forces of darkness and evil mercenaries targeted against me and my household this month. In Jesus name, Amen.

3. O God arise, destroy my destroyers; burn the household enemies to ashes in Jesus name, Amen!!!
