TODAY’S TOPIC: The way to the top 

Text: Proverb 12:10-15 (NIV)

"12:10. A righteous man cares for the needs of his animal, but the kindest acts of the wicked are cruel.

12:11. He who works his land will have abundant food, but he who chases fantasies lacks judgment.

12:12. The wicked desire the plunder of evil men, but the root of the righteous flourishes.

12:13. An evil man is trapped by his sinful talk, but a righteous man escapes trouble.

12:14. From the fruit of his lips a man is filled with good things as surely as the work of his hands rewards him.

12:15. The way of a fool seems right to him, but a wise man listens to advice."

SHOWER (Reflection):

There are many roads in life that seems good to a man. But not all that leads to the right direction. Only those who know where they are heading to will ask questions accordingly, think right and locate the right path. This is necessary because if you make bad or good choice, you will regret or enjoy it. Today, the book of Proverbs is reminding us why we must walk in Christ Jesus. The wise man thinks about others, works and listens to advice. Which of them are you? You must listen, pray, care for others too if you must get to the top.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, I want to go the top. I need You in my life so that I won't walk amiss in Jesus name, Amen.

2. O Jesus, destroy those who want to destroy me. O Jesus, kill those who want to kill me. I will live to join in burying them in Jesus name, Amen.

3. I am rising everyday. The sun and the moon must favour me today as I walk about for my good in Jesus name, Amen!!!

TODAY’S TOPIC: Remain Truthful 

Text: Matthew 5: 33-37 (NIV)

"5:33. Again, you have heard that it was said to the people long ago, 'Do not break your oath, but keep the oaths you have made to the Lord.'

5:34. But I tell you, Do not swear at all: either by heaven, for it is God's throne;

5:35. or by the earth, for it is his footstool; or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the Great King.

5:36. And do not swear by your head, for you cannot make even one hair white or black.

5:37. Simply let your 'Yes' be 'Yes,' and your 'No,' 'No'; anything beyond this comes from the evil one."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Some used because of problems of the world to enter into oath they cannot no longer keep. God wants us to avoid making any pledge we cannot fulfill. He said let your yes be your yes. This is sure way to humble and exalt people. If you are under oath, fulfil it. If not, avoid it if you 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, I Thank and pray You to guide my words and actions in Jesus name, Amen.

2. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I command all the blessings God destined for me this year (that are yet to come to quicken up in Jesus name, Amen.

3. I can no longer be poor for Jesus has lifted me up. Higher I must rise continuous lylname, Amen!!!

TODAY’S TOPIC: Mouth: an asset for divine favour or curse?

Text: Proverb 10:2-11 (NIV)

"10:2. Ill-gotten treasures are of no value, but righteousness delivers from death.

10:3. The LORD does not let the righteous go hungry but he thwarts the craving of the wicked.

10:4. Lazy hands make a man poor, but diligent hands bring wealth.

10:5. He who gathers crops in summer is a wise son, but he who sleeps during harvest is a disgraceful son.

10:6. Blessings crown the head of the righteous, but violence overwhelms the mouth of the wicked.

10:7. The memory of the righteous will be a blessing, but the name of the wicked will rot.

10:8. The wise in heart accept commands, but a chattering fool comes to ruin.

10:9. The man of integrity walks securely, but he who takes crooked paths will be found out.

10:10. He who winks maliciously causes grief, and a chattering fool comes to ruin.

10:11. The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life, but violence overwhelms the mouth of the wicked."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Your mouth and tongue are special gifts God bestowed on us. He gave us these to serve Him and command our day to favour us and our neighbours. That's why the story of creation centres on it. He proclaimed that there should be light; and it came to pass. He announced there should be night, water, earth and others, and all came to being. What did He used in making the pronouncements? God used tongue/mouth. He also urged us to speak the word and it will be established. Unfortunately, some (if not many) see these as weapon to outshine others. They use their tongues and mouths to kill others, talk down on people, fight, lie, etc. Check yourself and make an amend now. That job you are waiting for or favour denied you, may be because of the sins you committed with your tongue.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, I thank You for another day. Forgive me for not using my tongue as You instructed. Give me the grace to make an amend in Jesus name, Amen.

2. My tongue is from Jesus. My mouth is also from Him. I hereby charge them to work for my favour this morning and throughout today in Jesus name, Amen.

3. By the power in the name of Jesus Christ, I kill and destroy any power that dares me today in Jesus name, Amen!!!

TODAY’S TOPIC: Reconciliation not seed of favour

Text: Matthew 5:21-26 (NIV)

"5:21. You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, 'Do not murder, and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.'

5:22. But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to his brother, 'Raca,' is answerable to the Sanhedrin. But anyone who says, 'You fool!' will be in danger of the fire of hell.

5:23. "Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you,

5:24. leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift.

5:25. "Settle matters quickly with your adversary who is taking you to court. Do it while you are still with him on the way, or he may hand you over to the judge, and the judge may hand you over to the officer, and you may be thrown into prison.

5:26. I tell you the truth, you will not get out until you have paid the last penny.

SHOWER (Reflection):

You might have heard pastors or your other religious leaders insisting, demanding or explaining why you must give offerings, tithes or seed offerings so that God will bless you. Some will even call it seed of favour, seed of prosperity or whatever. But God is telling us today that seeking or forgiving others who have offended you is the key to gaining favour, upliftment, promotions, health and others from God. To reconcile is to set free your heart, time and everything you hold against others. If you don't forgive, you will be insecure, thinking and reflecting on how you can punish or escape from your offender. That leads to heart attack and other health complications.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, I thank You for another day of favour and grace. I pray for Your directions to do exploit today in Jesus name, Amen.

2. I stand by the power in the blood of Jesus Christ to cancel every evil thing done against me at night. And I hereon proclaim open doors and connections to move higher in Jesus name, Amen.

3. God has positioned me for exploit. I must do exploit it today. I cannot be push over in Jesus name, Amen!!!

TODAY’S TOPIC: The rewards of the proud

Text: Daniel 5:18-31 (NIV)

"5:18. O king, the Most High God gave your father Nebuchadnezzar sovereignty and greatness and glory and splendor.

5:19. Because of the high position he gave him, all the peoples and nations and men of every language dreaded and feared him. Those the king wanted to put to death, he put to death; those he wanted to spare, he spared; those he wanted to promote, he promoted; and those he wanted to humble, he humbled.

5:20. But when his heart became arrogant and hardened with pride, he was deposed from his royal throne and stripped of his glory.

5:21. He was driven away from people and given the mind of an animal; he lived with the wild donkeys and ate grass like cattle; and his body was drenched with the dew of heaven, until he acknowledged that the Most High God is sovereign over the kingdoms of men and sets over them anyone he wishes.

5:22. "But you his son, O Belshazzar, have not humbled yourself, though you knew all this.

5:23. Instead, you have set yourself up against the Lord of heaven. You had the goblets from his temple brought to you, and you and your nobles, your wives and your concubines drank wine from them. You praised the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood and stone, which cannot see or hear or understand. But you did not honor the God who holds in his hand your life and all your ways.

5:24. Therefore he sent the hand that wrote the inscription.

5:25. "This is the inscription that was written: MENE, MENE, TEKEL, PARSIN

5:26. "This is what these words mean: Mene : God has numbered the days of your reign and brought it to an end.

5:27. Tekel : You have been weighed on the scales and found wanting.

5:28. Peres : Your kingdom is divided and given to the Medes and Persians."

5:29. Then at Belshazzar's command, Daniel was clothed in purple, a gold chain was placed around his neck, and he was proclaimed the third highest ruler in the kingdom.

5:30. That very night Belshazzar, king of the Babylonians, was slain,

5:31. and Darius the Mede took over the kingdom, at the age of sixty-two."

SHOWER (Reflection):

King Belshazzar became too arrogant that he took over the God's sacred materials and gave them to his households to eat and drink from. They were not eating alone but doing that by showering praises to idols. This same man knew that his father committed similar sin. You can see that even when he was been won of the consequences of his action he did not repent. He rather decided to make more merry. Many are living in this kind of proud and arrogance. The rewards of it are; lost of opportunities, lost of kingdoms, failures, premature death and others. 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, I am Your child. I don't want to live in proud and offend You. Help me to live as obidient child in Jesus name, Amen.

2. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I command the earth to revolt against my enemies so that they will fall into the pits they set before me and die in Jesus, Amen.

3. God has risen upon me. I will keep marching forward to wear the crown He destined for me today and forever in Jesus name, Amen!!!

Only God is able to save us

TODAY’S TOPIC: Only God is able to save us

Text: Revelation 5: 1-10 (NIV)

"5:1. Then I saw in the right hand of him who sat on the throne a scroll with writing on both sides and sealed with seven seals.

5:2. And I saw a mighty angel proclaiming in a loud voice, "Who is worthy to break the seals and open the scroll?"

5:3. But no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth could open the scroll or even look inside it.

5:4. I wept and wept because no one was found who was worthy to open the scroll or look inside.

5:5. Then one of the elders said to me, "Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals."

5:6. Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing in the center of the throne, encircled by the four living creatures and the elders. He had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth.

5:7. He came and took the scroll from the right hand of him who sat on the throne.

5:8. And when he had taken it, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.

5:9. And they sang a new song: "You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased men for God from every tribe and language and people and nation.

5:10. You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Let the living praise the God, who is able and ever ready to save us. He does the impossible tasks. From the passage, you will see where and how He was able to open and look into a scroll which none else could look at. May His name be exalted. We are always faced with situations like that. It takes Christ to set us free. Yes. What is that problem confronting you today? Call on Him. He will grant your requests.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, I thank You for always standing in for me. I will praise You today, tomorrow and forever in Jesus name, Amen.

2. The earth is God and His fullness thereof. Therefore, I speak favour and upliftment into the earth this morning and this week. Men and women I will encounter this week will favour me in Jesus, Amen.

3. O you kingdom of darkness, I set you, your occupants and promoters ablaze. There's nothing you can do to me in Jesus name, Amen!!!

TODAY’S TOPIC: Be focus

Text: 2 Timothy: 4:9-18 (NIV)

"4:9. Do your best to come to me quickly,

4:10. for Demas, because he loved this world, has deserted me and has gone to Thessalonica. Crescens has gone to Galatia, and Titus to Dalmatia.

4:11. Only Luke is with me. Get Mark and bring him with you, because he is helpful to me in my ministry.

4:12. I sent Tychicus to Ephesus.

4:13. When you come, bring the cloak that I left with Carpus at Troas, and my scrolls, especially the parchments.

4:14. Alexander the metalworker did me a great deal of harm. The Lord will repay him for what he has done.

4:15. You too should be on your guard against him, because he strongly opposed our message.

4:16. At my first defense, no one came to my support, but everyone deserted me. May it not be held against them.

4:17. But the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. And I was delivered from the lion's mouth.

4:18. The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. To him be glory for ever and ever. Amen."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Today God wants us to remain focused. He did not want us exhibit any form of fear, discouragement or frustration in this race. This passage makes us to understand that it will never be a bed of all roses. So, temptations will surely come from among the brethren. Some will abandon you, other may accuse you of using extra power, fetish or been whatever. Ignore them! Forge ahead. God will keep fighting for you. Paul recalled here how he was abandoned in the court alone too. Even those who persecuted him was also mentioned. He just adviced Timothy to be weary of them. Let your experience and challenges in life teach and inspire you to do exploit for Christ!  

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, I worship you for today's message. I am sorry for not applying this before now. I pray for Your spirit to carry them on in Jesus name, Amen.

2. Jesus, I love You. Empower me to be focused, agile and follow You to the end not minding the challenges of life. My experience and challenges shall win more souls for Jesus, Amen.

3. O you principalities and powers that wish me die before my time, I curse by the power in the blood of Jesus; die and be burnt to ashes in Jesus name, Amen!!!
