Rain down, O heavens, from above. Let the clouds pour down righteousness[all the blessings of God]. Let the earth open up, let salvation bear fruit, And righteousness spring up with it; I, the Lord, have created it (Isaiah 45:8).

Time to sanitise the Church of God …

He found the people who were selling oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers sitting at their tables. He made a whip of cords, and drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and the oxen; and He scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables; then to those who sold the doves He said, “Take these things away! Stop making My Father’s house a place of commerce! John 2: 13-16

The unusual valid service to His kingdom

DAILY SHOWER April 2,  2022 Devotion and Declarations

Prayer before the Word:

_O God, I thank You for today. I pray for a fulfilling spirit as I study Your word in Jesus name, Amen_

TODAY’S TOPIC: The unusual valid service to His kingdom

Text: John 12: 1- 11 (NIV Bible)

"12:1 Six days before the Passover, Jesus arrived at Bethany, where Lazarus lived, whom Jesus had raised from the dead.12:2 Here a dinner was given in Jesus' honor. Martha served, while Lazarus was among those reclining at the table with him.

12:3 Then Mary took about a pint of pure nard, an expensive perfume; she poured it on Jesus' feet and wiped his feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.

12:4 But one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, who was later to betray him, objected,

12:5 Why wasn't this perfume sold and the money given to the poor? It was worth a year's wages.

12:6 He did not say this because he cared about the poor but because he was a thief; as keeper of the money bag, he used to help himself to what was put into it.

12:7 "Leave her alone," Jesus replied. "It was intended that she should save this perfume for the day of my burial.

12:8 You will always have the poor among you, but you will not always have me."

12:9 Meanwhile a large crowd of Jews found out that Jesus was there and came, not only because of him but also to see Lazarus, whom he had raised from the dead.

12:10 So the chief priests made plans to kill Lazarus as well,

12:11 for on account of him many of the Jews were going over to Jesus and putting their faith in him.

*SHOWER:*

Our God is so merciful, ever forgiven and amazing. That is why we often don't know how best we can worship or serve Him. As such, most engage on self glorifying ventures thinking they are best ways of worshipping Him. However, the kind services He valued most from us are the unusuals, what we never believed they matter. Mary embarked on that venture in verse 3. Others were astonished. But that singular honour or service was recorded to her favour. We need discerning spirit for ways forward.

*PRAYER/DECLARATIONS*

O God, I have chosen to serve You alone. Help me with a discerning spirit so that I will follow the right path in Jesus name, Amen!

*1. Christ Jesus is in me. I am His divine instrument and project on Earth.*

*2. Therefore, I shall continue marching forward because He has made me unstoppable to man especially the unfriendly friends.*

*3. I hereby decree and declare that before the end of April, people will surely find out that God is truly my all in all. In Jesus name I trust, Amen.*

His sacrifice set us free

DAILY SHOWER March 31,  2022 Devotion and Declarations

Prayer before the Word:

_Father, I thank You for a new day. I pray You to make way for me where there is no way. Open my eyes and minds so that I will know You more in Jesus name I pray, Amen_

TODAY’S TOPIC: His sacrifice set us free

Text: Hebrews 10: 11-18 (NIV Bible)

"10:11 Day after day every priest stands and performs his religious duties; again and again he offers the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins.

10:12 But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God.

10:13 Since that time he waits for his enemies to be made his footstool,

10:14 because by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.

10:15 The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First he says:

10:16 "This is the covenant I will make with them after that time, says the Lord. I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds."

10:17 Then he adds: "Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more."

10:18 And where these have been forgiven, there is no longer any sacrifice for sin."

*SHOWER:*

In the past, people are often called to order by God through the prophets. Then, sinners are told the type of sacrifices required for atonement and cleansing. These could be with agricultural produce especially lambs or other livestock. But one man, the true Son of God, Jesus Christ by His coming to die for our sake changed all these. One of the things the coming of Jesus brought to mankind as we are being reminded today is that God entered into a new and everlasting covenant with us. This guarantees that whatever we do today that is either good or bad we will definitely be told by our conscience (our mind). Unfortunately, many have sold or beclouded their conscience with worldly things. The coming of Jesus Christ also brought instant forgiveness of sins. We no longer required sacrifice (s) before our sins are forgiven because He has already sacrificed Himself on the cross to redeem our sins. He even made it possible that we can receive instant answers to our prayers; asks and it shall be given unto you (Matt. 7:7). With Christ Jesus, we have nothing to loose any more but gains. So, why can't us submissive to Him?

*PRAYER/DECLARATIONS*

O God, I submit myself to You. Help me to see more reasons to trust on no one except You in Jesus name I pray, Amen!

*1. Today, my covenant with God is made new. By His Grace, I won't renege in fulfilling it.*

*2. Therefore, I give devil commands to varnish away from my life and dare not return in Jesus name, Amen.*

*3. I hereby decree and declare total emancipation in all I do. I shall triumph over March. March shall not triumph over me. I ask all these through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.*

God's promises await His Children

DAILY SHOWER March 30,  2022 Devotion and Declarations

Prayer before the Word:

_O God, You are glorified in the highest for making me worthy of today's life. Open my eyes to learn good things from You in Jesus name I pray, Amen_

TODAY’S TOPIC: God's promises await His children

Text: Jeremiah 30:16-24 (NIV Bible)

"30: 16 But all who devour you will be devoured; all your enemies will go into exile. Those who plunder you will be plundered; all who make spoil of you I will despoil.

30:17 But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds,' declares the LORD, 'because you are called an outcast, Zion for whom no one cares.'

30:18 "This is what the LORD says: "'I will restore the fortunes of Jacob's tents and have compassion on his dwellings; the city will be rebuilt on her ruins, and the palace will stand in its proper place.

30:19 From them will come songs of thanksgiving and the sound of rejoicing. I will add to their numbers, and they will not be decreased; I will bring them honor, and they will not be disdained.

30:20 Their children will be as in days of old, and their community will be established before me; I will punish all who oppress them.

30:21 Their leader will be one of their own; their ruler will arise from among them. I will bring him near and he will come close to me, for who is he who will devote himself to be close to me?' declares the LORD.

30:22 "'So you will be my people, and I will be your God.'"30:23See, the storm of the LORD will burst out in wrath, a driving wind swirling down on the heads of the wicked.30:24 The fierce anger of the LORD will not turn back until he fully accomplishes the purposes of his heart. In days to come you will understand this.

*SHOWER:*

When you worship the God in truth and honesty, He will surely bless you richly. He has promised to make His children smile after sufferness and struggling. So, it does not matter what you are passing through now. Look into Him continuously. Your time is here.

*PRAYER/DECLARATIONS*

O Lord I thank You for a new begining. Kindly help me to go higher in Your services in Jesus name I pray, Amen!

*1. O God, may I not loose any of Your blessing destined for me today.*

*2. God's promises await me in the morning, afternoon and night. Therefore, anything God destined for me in the month of March that is still been hold must be released before the end of today.*

*3. I hereby decree and declare a new beginning for me in the month of April. April must favour me and my family in Jesus name, Amen.*

Stand firm and at alert

DAILY SHOWER March 29,  2022 Devotion and Declarations

Prayer before the Word:

_O God, I have come again with Thanksgiving for making me to be living among the living today. Please revive and renew me as I study Your word in Jesus name, Amen_

TODAY’S TOPIC: Stand firm and at alert

Text: Luke 12: 1- (NIV Bible)

"12:1 Meanwhile, when a crowd of many thousands had gathered, so that they were trampling on one another, Jesus began to speak first to his disciples, saying: "Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

12:2 There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known.

12:3 What you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the roofs.

12:4 "I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more.

12:5 But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after the killing of the body, has power to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him.

12:6 Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God.

12:7 Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

12:8 "I tell you, whoever acknowledges me before men, the Son of Man will also acknowledge him before the angels of God.

12:9 But he who disowns me before men will be disowned before the angels of God.

*SHOWER:*

Our today's text is reminding us of visibility or coverage. God  is everywhere. There is nothing that could be hidden before Him. What you did in the dark is well known to Him. What you hide from your neighbours are not hiding to Him. This is why He is encouraging us to always be at alert. It's only when someone is awake that such a person can tell what is happening around him or her. By being awake also, you can tell when the hypocrites are around you, when evils are multiplying, when fake prophesies and false prophets are on prowl. With this, you can easily avoid or counter them with supervisor arguments. That is by speaking the truth. For the scripture says it is only by the truth we shall be set free. Verses 8 and 9 of today's passage insisted that we must profess him always or risk the danger of denying Him. Amend your way now before is too late.

*PRAYER/DECLARATIONS*

O God, I know of a true that you are everywhere. Please help me to always be at alert to defend the gospel everywhere in Jesus name, Amen!

*1. My God is everywhere. He has given me the power to be everywhere and preach His gospel everywhere.*

*2. Therefore, I will not be discouraged or fall back in my duty. By His grace, I shall have Dominion over every living creatures as He empowered me right from the Genesis chapter 2.*

*3. I hereby decree and declare an end to every obstacles of life including poverty, backwardness and disfavour in Jesus name, Amen.*

Keep waiting unto Him

DAILY SHOWER March 28,  2022 Devotion and Declarations

Prayer before the Word:

_O God, You're wonderful to be praised. I trust You for goodness around and within me. Kindly assist me to know You more in Jesus name, Amen_

TODAY’S TOPIC: Keep waiting unto Him

Text: John 11: 38-44 (NIV Bible)

" 1:38 Jesus, once more deeply moved, came to the tomb. It was a cave with a stone laid across the entrance.

11:39 "Take away the stone," he said. "But, Lord," said Martha, the sister of the dead man, "by this time there is a bad odor, for he has been there four days."

11:40 Then Jesus said, "Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?"

11:41 So they took away the stone. Then Jesus looked up and said, "Father, I thank you that you have heard me.

11:42 I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me."

11:43 When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, "Lazarus, come out!"

11:44 The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face. Jesus said to them, "Take off the grave clothes and let him go."

*SHOWER:*

From John 11:1 up to verses 37, you will see how long it took Jesus to come the rescue of His sick friend. When he eventually came, Lazarus was already dead since four days ago. None believed that he would be alive again. But Jesus who had earlier said it was to see the glory of God, was not discouraged. He kept on insisting that His father would be glorified. And it came to pass at last day in verse 44. What is it that you're hoping for. Have you being praying for one thing for years? Do not lose hope! Let your faith set you free. God is able to do all things.

*PRAYER/DECLARATIONS*

Lord Jesus, I worship You for today's message. I trust in You. Forgive all my sins. Be quick to answer me. Do not allow me to go astray. In Jesus name I pray, Amen!

*1. I will for the Lord Jesus even if it takes Him years to answer me. Once He answers me, the world must be amazed so that His name will be glorified..*

*2. Therefore, I shall keep marching forward for the glory of God is upon me.*

*3. I hereby decree and declare that before the end of this month, my family and friends shall look at me and shout, indeed, Jesus is lord. Because He will do a marvelous thing in my life in Jesus name, Amen.*

The Good and Notorious Prisoner

DAILY SHOWER March 27,  2022 Devotion and Declarations

Prayer before the Word:

_O God, I thank You for making it possible for me to see the last Sunday of the month. Please, help me to be a doer of Your word in Jesus name, Amen_

TODAY’S TOPIC: The Good and Notorious Prisoner

Text: Matt. 27: 11-26 (NIV Bible)

"27:11 Meanwhile Jesus stood before the governor, and the governor asked him, "Are you the king of the Jews?" "Yes, it is as you say," Jesus replied.

27:12 When he was accused by the chief priests and the elders, he gave no answer.27:13 Then Pilate asked him, "Don't you hear the testimony they are bringing against you?"

27:14 But Jesus made no reply, not even to a single charge--to the great amazement of the governor.

27:15 Now it was the governor's custom at the Feast to release a prisoner chosen by the crowd.

27:16 At that time they had a notorious prisoner, called Barabbas.

27:17 So when the crowd had gathered, Pilate asked them, "Which one do you want me to release to you: Barabbas, or Jesus who is called Christ?"

27:18 For he knew it was out of envy that they had handed Jesus over to him.

27:19 While Pilate was sitting on the judge's seat, his wife sent him this message: "Don't have anything to do with that innocent man, for I have suffered a great deal today in a dream because of him."

27:20 But the chief priests and the elders persuaded the crowd to ask for Barabbas and to have Jesus executed.

27:21 "Which of the two do you want me to release to you?" asked the governor. "Barabbas," they answered.

27:22 "What shall I do, then, with Jesus who is called Christ?" Pilate asked. They all answered, "Crucify him!"

27:23 "Why? What crime has he committed?" asked Pilate. But they shouted all the louder, "Crucify him!"

27:24 When Pilate saw that he was getting nowhere, but that instead an uproar was starting, he took water and washed his hands in front of the crowd. "I am innocent of this man's blood," he said. "It is your responsibility!"

27:25 All the people answered, "Let his blood be on us and on our children!"

27:26 Then he released Barabbas to them. But he had Jesus flogged, and handed him over to be crucified.."

*SHOWER:*

Over two thousand years ago, the world preferred a notorious prisoner to a righteous man (good prisoner). They insisted that Christ should be crucified instead of Barabbas. Today, the same thing is happening all over the world. We often deny, reject and replace Jesus through our mundane life. You may wish to ask "How?" What do you call your attitude when you replace your prayer time or Sunday service to visitations, parties and merriment? Reactivate your prayer life. Think over other ways you replace Christ to evil act. Then make an amendment before is too late.

*PRAYER/DECLARATIONS*

O Jesus, I thank You for feeding me spiritually. Give me the Grace to retain and practise it in Jesus name, Amen!

*1. The God in me is greater than he who is in them. Therefore, I will neither fear not stumble.*

*2. With God by my side, I shall not fall to the prey of the fresh. God will remain my utmost and number one in decisions I take.*

*3. I hereby decree and declare that as I see the last Sunday of the month of March, I will also see the beginning and last month of April and beyond with good health and joy in Jesus name, Amen.*
