Prayer before the Word: 

 _ O God, I thank You for yet another day. I magnify Your name because You are my God and all I have. Please, use me according to Your will and prosper me in Jesus name, Amen_ 

TODAY’S TOPIC: God's ultimate 

Text: Jeremiah 18:1-10 (NIV):

"18:1. This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD:

18:2. "Go down to the potter's house, and there I will give you my message."

18:3. So I went down to the potter's house, and I saw him working at the wheel.

18:4. But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him.

18:5. Then the word of the LORD came to me:

18:6. "O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter does?" declares the LORD. "Like clay in the hand of the potter, so are you in my hand, O house of Israel.

18:7. If at any time I announce that a nation or kingdom is to be uprooted, torn down and destroyed,

18:8. and if that nation I warned repents of its evil, then I will relent and not inflict on it the disaster I had planned.

18:9. And if at another time I announce that a nation or kingdom is to be built up and planted,

18:10. and if it does evil in my sight and does not obey me, then I will reconsider the good I had intended to do for it."

SHOWER (Reflection):

God is ultimate, powerful creator and almighty working. The potter and cray are use here to show us that He has all it takes to keep us alive or dead at any material time. He can pull down any structure or rebuild one. Unfortunately, some do not know this or know but stubbornly turned deaf ear. I remember that a marker of pot can decide to destroy it and start all over. That is, God can even kill us and create or reproduce new people from even sands. In other words, we must surrender and follow Him alone because He has all the blessings, favour, etc. that we need in life. He knows our needs and will definitely provide them accordingly at the right time. 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O my God, I am sorry, forgive and remould me to become a humble and obedient child...in Jesus name, Amen.

2. O you spirit of doubt and stubbornness, I resist and purge you out of my way...in Jesus name, Amen.

3. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, my today must be better and my tomorrow must be the best ...in Jesus name, Amen.

4. O Jesus, anoint me with oil of favour and prosperity this weekend...in Jesus name, Amen.

The just shall live by faith

TODAY’S TOPIC: The Just shall Live by Faith 

Text: Galatians 3:11-20 (NIV):

"3:11. Clearly no one is justified before God by the law, because, "The righteous will live by faith.

"3:12. The law is not based on faith; on the contrary, "The man who does these things will live by them.

"3:13. Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: "Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.

"3:14. He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.

3:15. Brothers, let me take an example from everyday life. Just as no one can set aside or add to a human covenant that has been duly established, so it is in this case.

3:16. The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. The Scripture does not say "and to seeds," meaning many people, but "and to your seed," meaning one person, who is Christ.

3:17. What I mean is this: The law, introduced 430 years later, does not set aside the covenant previously established by God and thus do away with the promise.

3:18. For if the inheritance depends on the law, then it no longer depends on a promise; but God in his grace gave it to Abraham through a promise.

3:19. What, then, was the purpose of the law? It was added because of transgressions until the Seed to whom the promise referred had come. The law was put into effect through angels by a mediator.

3:20. A mediator, however, does not represent just one party; but God is one."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Law guides and safeguards. Like signpost, it shows people the way. Following it, you can make a mistake, and seek forgiveness same way stipulated by the law. That is why verse 12 says it is contrary to faith. In 13, it says that Christ has redeemed us. Faith, as we all know,  is assurance of things hoped for, and evidence of things not seen. It's by faith we believed that God crested the world, and that Christ died for our sins. It is also by faith we believed that by His resurrection on the cross, we can see Christ or go to Heaven at the end. The faith will surely make you to stay clear of sin and end up in heaven. But he who believes in the law only may keep committing sin because law also provides for forgiveness. Brethren, we are by today's reading, reminded of living a just and righteous lives for Christ, Himself is just...and told us to be holy like Him.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, arise, purge me of every sinful nature and make me acceptable unto You...in Jesus name, Amen.

2. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I will live above what the enemy wants me to become ...in Jesus name, Amen.

3. Because the just will live by faith, I declare and decree today, that the results of my efforts in life must come now for me to enjoy the fruits of my labour alive...in Jesus name, Amen.

4. O God arise, return to the enemy, the spirit of accident and sudden death it is proposing against me ...in Jesus name, Amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: Repent and be prosperous

Text: Jeremiah 2:1-9 (NIV):

"2:1. The word of the LORD came to me:

2:2. Go and proclaim in the hearing of Jerusalem: "'I remember the devotion of your youth, how as a bride you loved me and followed me through the desert, through a land not sown.

2:3. Israel was holy to the LORD, the firstfruits of his harvest; all who devoured her were held guilty, and disaster overtook them,'" declares the LORD.

2:4. Hear the word of the LORD, O house of Jacob, all you clans of the house of Israel.

2:5. This is what the LORD says: "What fault did your fathers find in me, that they strayed so far from me? They followed worthless idols and became worthless themselves.

2:6. They did not ask, 'Where is the LORD, who brought us up out of Egypt and led us through the barren wilderness, through a land of deserts and rifts, a land of drought and darkness, a land where no one travels and no one lives?'

2:7. I brought you into a fertile land to eat its fruit and rich produce. But you came and defiled my land and made my inheritance detestable.

2:8. The priests did not ask, 'Where is the LORD?' Those who deal with the law did not know me; the leaders rebelled against me. The prophets prophesied by Baal, following worthless idols.

2:9. "Therefore I bring charges against you again," declares the LORD. "And I will bring charges against your children's children."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Welcome to new month, brethren. Our God who made it possible for us to see this day will surely see us through the month in Jesus name, Amen! However, we must understand that this can only be possible or easily achieved when we are closer to God. That is why our God is telling us today to seek His face. The almighty God wants us to repent or turn away from our sinful or evil ways. It is a pity that the younger generation are going back to idolatry, fetish and other dangerous practices. Many have forgotten what God did to their respective parents or even to themselves. The end of these is condemnation, death and hellfire. To succeed this month, we must have a rethink. 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, my father, I seek Your face this month. Forgive me and wash me clean so that I will prosper in Jesus name, Amen.

2. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, this month must not pass me by financially, maritally and otherwise ...in Jesus name, Amen.

3. Before the end of this month, O God arise and kill all those who have made themselves gods unto me...in Jesus name, Amen.

4. I fire back to evil men and women who are filing evil arrows against me...in Jesus name, Amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: Stick to your ministry 

Text: Galatians 2:1-10 (NIV):

"2:1. Fourteen years later I went up again to Jerusalem, this time with Barnabas. I took Titus along also.

2:2. I went in response to a revelation and set before them the gospel that I preach among the Gentiles. But I did this privately to those who seemed to be leaders, for fear that I was running or had run my race in vain.

2:3. Yet not even Titus, who was with me, was compelled to be circumcised, even though he was a Greek.

2:4. This matter arose because some false brothers had infiltrated our ranks to spy on the freedom we have in Christ Jesus and to make us slaves.

2:5. We did not give in to them for a moment, so that the truth of the gospel might remain with you.

2:6. As for those who seemed to be important--whatever they were makes no difference to me; God does not judge by external appearance--those men added nothing to my message.

2:7. On the contrary, they saw that I had been entrusted with the task of preaching the gospel to the Gentiles, just as Peter had been to the Jews.

2:8. For God, who was at work in the ministry of Peter as an apostle to the Jews, was also at work in my ministry as an apostle to the Gentiles.

2:9. James, Peter and John, those reputed to be pillars, gave me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship when they recognized the grace given to me. They agreed that we should go to the Gentiles, and they to the Jews.

2:10. All they asked was that we should continue to remember the poor, the very thing I was eager to do."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Ministry is a divine call, purpose or reason one was called on earth. It could also means career, profession or lifestyle. But in this context, Paul was referring to his calling or purpose of existence as an apostle. When others were preaching circumcision or insisting that every born again must be circumcised, Paul was doing contrary. He preached Christ, laid hands on people to receive the Holy ghost, and gave to the poor. He refused to be compromised. God wants us by this, to remain focus on the ministry we are called upon. Don't be like local medicine sellers, who usually claim that one medicine is antidote to many diseases. It is unfortunate that some Christian pastors called to the ministry of preaching the gospel have dabbled into other things. That is too bad. We must remain focus to attend a definite result. Let your yes always be yes, and no always no. History shows that those who practised their respective professions, callings or ministry diligently, ended up becoming great. When Joseph refused to be distracted or coerced by his master's wife, he was made a governor. What of Daniel, Mesheck and Abedenego who rejected king's rich food and were crowned.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. My father, my maker, crown my efforts in life... in Jesus name, Amen.

2. Because I am serving a living and just God, every judgement of the world against me will be turned to my favour today ...in Jesus name, Amen.

3. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I must be remembered for good...in Jesus name, Amen.

Be confidence

TODAY’S TOPIC: Be confidence 

Text: Hebrew 4:12-16 (NIV):

"4:12. For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

4:13. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

4:14. Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has gone through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess.

4:15. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are--yet was without sin.

4:16. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

SHOWER (Reflection):

Confidence is a good virtue. If you don't have confidence in yourself, it may be difficult for you to please God. Because confidence makes you believe that He is a true God who sees and hears prayers. With it, you can boost your faith and move on. You can build your confidence in God by reading to understanding, from verse 13 to 16 of today's. He knows everything about us; our strength and our weaknesses.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, my father, boost my confidence in You .. in Jesus name, Amen.

2. I am a covenant child of God. This week, i shall testify in Jesus name, Amen.

3. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, no weapon fashion against me this will ever prosper...in Jesus name, Amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: Undeniable divine call

Text: Jeremiah 1:4-12 (NIV):

"1.4. The word of the LORD came to me, saying,

1:5. "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations."

1:6. "Ah, Sovereign LORD," I said, "I do not know how to speak; I am only a child."

1:7. But the LORD said to me, "Do not say, 'I am only a child.' You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you.

1:8. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you," declares the LORD.

1:9. Then the LORD reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, "Now, I have put my words in your mouth.

1:10. See, today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant."

1:11. The word of the LORD came to me: "What do you see, Jeremiah?" "I see the branch of an almond tree," I replied.

1:12. The LORD said to me, "You have seen correctly, for I am watching to see that my word is fulfilled."

SHOWER (Reflection):

God has anointed you for excellence. When God appointed you to oversee or look after His people, you cannot stop it. That is Undeniable divine call. It could be political or non-political leadership, apostleship, business, etc. You may not be qualified or interested. But once He sees you as an instrument under His care, you will surely accept and make things happen. Think within, look well to see if you have divine call too... because it is what you cannot run away from. Jonah tried it and failed. And no one can stop you from manifesting yours...Joseph own, David own and others could not be prevented by their families. Pray God to reveal that call that will reposition your life !

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, my father, ,reveal to me that divine call that can transform my life and society. .. in Jesus name, Amen.

2. O God, approve, empower and reposition that man or woman that can rewrite our history ...in Jesus name, Amen.

3. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, i shall not be disappoint as we move to next wee...in Jesus name, Amen.
