TODAY’S TOPIC: When God not devil is talking 

Text: Isaiah 48:2-11 (NIV):


"48:2. you who call yourselves citizens of the holy city and rely on the God of Israel--the LORD Almighty is his name:

48:3. I foretold the former things long ago, my mouth announced them and I made them known; then suddenly I acted, and they came to pass.

48:4. For I knew how stubborn you were; the sinews of your neck were iron, your forehead was bronze.

48:5. Therefore I told you these things long ago; before they happened I announced them to you so that you could not say, 'My idols did them; my wooden image and metal god ordained them.'

48:6. You have heard these things; look at them all. Will you not admit them? "From now on I will tell you of new things, of hidden things unknown to you.

48:7. They are created now, and not long ago; you have not heard of them before today. So you cannot say, 'Yes, I knew of them.'

48:8. You have neither heard nor understood; from of old your ear has not been open. Well do I know how treacherous you are; you were called a rebel from birth.

48:9. For my own name's sake I delay my wrath; for the sake of my praise I hold it back from you, so as not to cut you off.

48:10. See, I have refined you, though not as silver; I have tested you in the furnace of affliction.

48:11. For my own sake, for my own sake, I do this. How can I let myself be defamed? I will not yield my glory to another."



SHOWER (Reflection):

When the God Almighty is talking to you, you will know. He says he has refined us. He has done and He is doing a new thing to us. He has promised new things to us. And are hopeful. Just be hopeful and prayerful. God will show us mercy without sorrow. 



PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

TODAY’S TOPIC: Be you not afraid 

Text: Matthew 17:1-7 (NIV):


"17:1. After six days Jesus took with him Peter, James and John the brother of James, and led them up a high mountain by themselves.

17:2. There he was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light.

17:3. Just then there appeared before them Moses and Elijah, talking with Jesus.

17:4. Peter said to Jesus, "Lord, it is good for us to be here. If you wish, I will put up three shelters--one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah."

17:5. While he was still speaking, a bright cloud enveloped them, and a voice from the cloud said, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to him!"

17:6. When the disciples heard this, they fell facedown to the ground, terrified.

17:7. But Jesus came and touched them. "Get up," he said. "Don't be afraid."



SHOWER (Reflection):

At the beatitudes, the disciples became afraid. They were probably terrified because of what they saw, heard and also thinking about. A lot happens in our society that could make or mar our moods. But Jesus is telling us not to be afraid. Is it because of sickness, lacks or some other things? Do not be perturbed. God will do a new thing for you this season. Only hold unto Him with prayers and thanksgiving. 



PRAYER/DECLARATIONS


1. I was created in image of God. Christ is in me, around me and within me. Therefore, I am not afraid of anything or body in Jesus name, Amen.


2. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I reject whatever the evil men are thinking or wishing me. Let them die by fire in  Jesus name I pray, Amen.


3. I reject whatever that was done in my father's house against me. O God arise and destroy them in Jesus name, Amen!!!

TODAY’S TOPIC: Feeding the hungry  

Text: Matthew 15:29-39 (NIV):


"15:29. Jesus left there and went along the Sea of Galilee. Then he went up on a mountainside and sat down.

15:30. Great crowds came to him, bringing the lame, the blind, the crippled, the mute and many others, and laid them at his feet; and he healed them.

15:31. The people were amazed when they saw the mute speaking, the crippled made well, the lame walking and the blind seeing. And they praised the God of Israel.

15:32. Jesus called his disciples to him and said, "I have compassion for these people; they have already been with me three days and have nothing to eat. I do not want to send them away hungry, or they may collapse on the way."

15:33. His disciples answered, "Where could we get enough bread in this remote place to feed such a crowd?"

15:34. "How many loaves do you have?" Jesus asked. "Seven," they replied, "and a few small fish."

15:35. He told the crowd to sit down on the ground.

15:36. Then he took the seven loaves and the fish, and when he had given thanks, he broke them and gave them to the disciples, and they in turn to the people.

15:37. They all ate and were satisfied. Afterward the disciples picked up seven basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over.

15:38. The number of those who ate was four thousand, besides women and children.

15:39. After Jesus had sent the crowd away, he got into the boat and went to the vicinity of Magadan."



SHOWER (Reflection):

Christmas is here again. People are running Helter skelter to gather what they will wear, eat or drink. But God is saying another thing to you and I. That's, be still. Be calm; I will do a new thing for you. The people that gathered to hear the word and receive healings from Jesus never expected that they will be fed too. But God saw the need and feted them. That is the type of God we serve. If you know whatever you know how to do, do it well. Don't cheat people or engage in some other illegalities. God will provide for you immesurably. 



PRAYER/DECLARATIONS


1. O God, I commit our leaders into Your able hand; guide, direct and protect them to make good decisions for our benefits in Jesus name, Amen.


2. O God of vengeance, take vengeance for me. Destroy any spirit or power that is rising against me this week in Jesus name, Amen.


3. By your power, O God! Anything in me, around me or surrounding me that will make me not to be favoured this week, I command them to be roasted by fire in Jesus name, Amen!!!

TODAY’S TOPIC: Authority Prayers 

Text: 1Timothy 2:1-7 (NIV):


"2:1. I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone--

2:2. for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.

2:3. This is good, and pleases God our Savior,

2:4. who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.

2:5. For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,

2:6. who gave himself as a ransom for all men--the testimony given in its proper time.

2:7. And for this purpose I was appointed a herald and an apostle--I am telling the truth, I am not lying--and a teacher of the true faith to the Gentiles."



SHOWER (Reflection):

Prayer is the key to life. It remains the right channel through which we communicate with God. If we can use it to gain things from God, what about our fellow humans? It is very easy because bible says that the heart of kings are in God's hand. The king's here is/are people in authorities. These include our leaders from families to the president and ministers of a country. This extends to leaderships of churches, fellowships and other religious institutions. The benefits are enormous: it keeps them alive, healthy with wisdom to run away from temptations/sins. It helps us to draw them closer to God; when a leader is in Christ he makes goods policies; he thinks about people welfare; he surrounds his office with godly people too because bad company corrupts the good one (verse visa). 



PRAYER/DECLARATIONS
