Prayer before the Word: 

 _O God, I adore Your holy name. Kindly empower me so that I will draw closer to know You more and serve You better as I study Your word daily in Jesus name, Amen_ 

TODAY’S TOPIC: I will be Your God

Text: Zachariah 8:1-8 (NIV Bible)

"8:1 Again the word of the LORD Almighty came to me.

8:2 This is what the LORD Almighty says: "I am very jealous for Zion; I am burning with jealousy for her.

8:3 This is what the LORD says: "I will return to Zion and dwell in Jerusalem. Then Jerusalem will be called the City of Truth, and the mountain of the LORD Almighty will be called the Holy Mountain."

8:4 This is what the LORD Almighty says: "Once again men and women of ripe old age will sit in the streets of Jerusalem, each with cane in hand because of his age.

8:5 The city streets will be filled with boys and girls playing there."

8:6 This is what the LORD Almighty says: "It may seem marvelous to the remnant of this people at that time, but will it seem marvelous to me?" declares the LORD Almighty.

8:7 This is what the LORD Almighty says: "I will save my people from the countries of the east and the west.

8:8 I will bring them back to live in Jerusalem; they will be my people, and I will be faithful and righteous to them as their God."

*SHOWER:*

Our God is faithful to us. He has reassured us that He's ready to bring us back and be our God so that we will be His children. It's left for us to repent from our evil ways and accept Him as our personal Lord and saviour. God also promised to empower us to defeat our enemies. We must rise to claim all these and more by coming back to Him. 

*PRAYER/DECLARATIONS*

O God, I thank You because you're my father and kind forever more. I pray to win and serve You more in Jesus name, Amen!

*1. My God is great God. I will serve Him and Him alone. Fear or prosecution won't .*

*2. I shall not serve God and remain childless, powerless, empty pockets, deception and other evils. 

*3. I hereby decree and declare that my God has taken over my situation and life. Evil men cannot see me, my business will continue to grow to Jesus name, Amen.*

TODAY’S TOPIC: Courageous Ambassador of Christ 

Text: Act. 17:22-34 (NIV Bible)

"17:22 Paul then stood up in the meeting of the Areopagus and said: "Men of Athens! I see that in every way you are very religious.

17:23 For as I walked around and looked carefully at your objects of worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: TO AN UNKNOWN GOD. Now what you worship as something unknown I am going to proclaim to you.

17:24 "The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by hands.

17:25 And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything, because he himself gives all men life and breath and everything else.

17:26 From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live.

17:27 God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us.

17:28 'For in him we live and move and have our being.' As some of your own poets have said, 'We are his offspring.'

17:29 "Therefore since we are God's offspring, we should not think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone--an image made by man's design and skill.

17:30 In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent.

17:31 For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to all men by raising him from the dead."

17:32 When they heard about the resurrection of the dead, some of them sneered, but others said, "We want to hear you again on this subject."

17:33 At that, Paul left the Council.

17:34 A few men became followers of Paul and believed. Among them was Dionysius, a member of the Areopagus, also a woman named Damaris, and a number of others."

*SHOWER:*

Our Lord Jesus Christ is powerful. Therefore whoever is in Him is expected to preach the gospel to others without fear or favour. Apostle Paul in this today's scripture was brought to people of Athens to be mocked, punished or probably be chased away from the land. Unfortunately to them and fortunately to the kingdom of God, Paul couldn't shake. One thing we must learn from his behaviour was ability to decipher a reason and need to preach the gospel. He found that there were unknown god and used it to win more souls to the kingdom. We need to live to see every opportunity we find ourselves as time or period to win souls for God. That is what Paul did and the rest became glorious.

TODAY’S TOPIC: Signatures of Christ 

Text: Mark 16: 14-20 (NIV Bible)

"16:14 Later Jesus appeared to the Eleven as they were eating; he rebuked them for their lack of faith and their stubborn refusal to believe those who had seen him after he had risen.

16:15 He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.

16:16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

16:17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues;

16:18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well."

16:19 After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God.

16:20 Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it."

*SHOWER:*

Signatures are official signs or trademarks identifying people. Once you see them you will agree that these are surely or definitely from Mr A or Mr B. It could also be doctored. In today's scripture Jesus Christ after appearing to the eleven told them to go and preach the good news to the world, assuring that some signs would follow them. These signs include dominion or destruction of evil spirits and demons, healings, speaking in tongues and others. These signs were to testify that they are surely children or followers of Christ. However, reverse seemed to be the case in our generation. Most are not seeing the signs again, while some who are performing these appeared to be fake. We must repent and follow the right path to heaven. 

*PRAYER/DECLARATIONS*

O God, I thank You for Your loving kindness unto me. Pardon my guilt, help me to manifest Your power in Jesus name, Amen!

*1. I shall manifest the power of Christ because He has risen and bestowed on me power to work like Him.*

*2. My death is not near because of my services to God, and His loving kindness that sees no sorrow.

TODAY’S TOPIC: Glorious Lord has rising to set us free 

Text: Isaiah 61:1-11 (NIV Bible)

"61:1 The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners,

61:2 to proclaim the year of the LORD'S favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn,

61:3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion--to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor.

61:4 They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations.

61:5 Aliens will shepherd your flocks; foreigners will work your fields and vineyards.

61:6 And you will be called priests of the LORD, you will be named ministers of our God. You will feed on the wealth of nations, and in their riches you will boast.

61:7 Instead of their shame my people will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace they will rejoice in their inheritance; and so they will inherit a double portion in their land, and everlasting joy will be theirs.

61:8 "For I, the LORD, love justice; I hate robbery and iniquity. In my faithfulness I will reward them and make an everlasting covenant with them.

61:9 Their descendants will be known among the nations and their offspring among the peoples. All who see them will acknowledge that they are a people the LORD has blessed."

61:10 I delight greatly in the LORD; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

61:11 For as the soil makes the sprout come up and a garden causes seeds to grow, so the Sovereign LORD will make righteousness and praise spring up before all nations."

*SHOWER:*

The glory of the living God is flowing in our lives. The resurrection power of God is now ready to set us free if only we can submit our selves to Him. You only have to believe and you will see the possibilities of impossibilities. Verse 11 of our today's Bible passage says it all. Forsake your sins and embrace Him to be safe.

*PRAYER/DECLARATIONS*

O God, I thank You for Your Glorious power that is available to set me free. I now to receive them and become a new person and His divine instrument in Jesus name, Amen!

*1. I shall not lack but prospers and give to people because God glory has possessed me.*

*2. My death is not bear because of my services to God, and His loving kindness that sees no sorrow.

TODAY’S TOPIC: Overflowing Joy in Christ Jesus

Text: Philippines 1: 19-26 (NIV Bible)

"1:19. for I know that through your prayers and the help given by the Spirit of Jesus Christ, what has happened to me will turn out for my deliverance.

1:20. I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death.

1:21 For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.

1:22 If I am to go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labor for me. Yet what shall I choose? I do not know!

1:23 I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far;

1:24 but it is more necessary for you that I remain in the body.

1:25 Convinced of this, I know that I will remain, and I will continue with all of you for your progress and joy in the faith,

1:26 so that through my being with you again your joy in Christ Jesus will overflow on account of me."

*SHOWER:*

There is overflowing joy in Christ Jesus. Hence, Psalmist says that there is hit when one goes to the house of God. Why? He is the creator of the universe; who sent His Son and he died and resurrected on the third day. Whenever you come to His presence, you will rejoice for the healing power, open doors, and other opportunities. 

*PRAYER/DECLARATIONS*

O God, I thank You once again. I pray to remain focus in all I do in Jesus name, Amen!

TODAY’S TOPIC: Are you the only Visitor? 

Text: Luke: 24:13-24 (NIV Bible)

"24:13 Now that same day two of them were going to a village called Emmaus, about seven miles from Jerusalem.

24:14 They were talking with each other about everything that had happened.

24:15 As they talked and discussed these things with each other, Jesus himself came up and walked along with them;

24:16 but they were kept from recognizing him.

24:17 He asked them, "What are you discussing together as you walk along?" They stood still, their faces downcast.

24:18 One of them, named Cleopas, asked him, "Are you only a visitor to Jerusalem and do not know the things that have happened there in these days?"

24:19 "What things?" he asked. "About Jesus of Nazareth," they replied. "He was a prophet, powerful in word and deed before God and all the people.

24:20 The chief priests and our rulers handed him over to be sentenced to death, and they crucified him."

*SHOWER:*

God is alive. We are all or should all be happy at homes, transportation, etc. Unfortunately, the disciples; the current Christian, etc have turned the exact opportunity upside down. They were busy discussing different issues not knowing that our Lord Jesus has rising like He told them. Go you to the world and celebrate. Our Lord is wonderful.

*PRAYER/DECLARATIONS*

O God, I thank You today. I worship You for changing the story of mankind following the death and resurrection of Your son, Jesus. I pray for understanding of the season now and forever, Amen!

*1. Jesus has conquered sin and death. I have also conquered sin and death because His grace covers me.*

*2. I shall no longer suffer shame, demotion and disappointment because God's taken over my life.*

TODAY’S TOPIC: Dead to sin through His Resurrection

Text: Romans 4:1-14 (NIV Bible)

"4:1 What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase?

6:2 By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?

6:3 Or don't you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?

6:4 We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.

6:5 If we have been united with him like this in his death, we will certainly also be united with him in his resurrection.

6:6 For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin--

6:7 because anyone who has died has been freed from sin.

6:8 Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him.

6:9 For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him.

.6:10 The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God.

6:11 In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.

6:12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires.

6:13 Do not offer the parts of your body to sin, as instruments of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God, as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer the parts of your body to him as instruments of righteousness.

6:14 For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace."

*SHOWER:*

Praise the Lord! Hallelujah, Hallelujah, hallelujah Hallelujah...amen. Jesus is alive. We praise and although Him for accepting to die on the cross because it has changed all our story. He redeemed us from sin. He has risen with us. We have conquered sin together with Him. He is reigning now. And He shall reign forever. Therefore, sin shall no longer have dominion over us. Go you to the world and evangelise to the world!
