TODAY’S TOPIC: Come with Thanksgiving 

Text: Psalm 95: 1-10(NIV):

"95:1. Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.

95:2. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.

95:3. For the LORD is the great God, the great King above all gods.

95:4. In his hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to him.

95:5. The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land.

95:6. Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker;

95:7. for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care. Today, if you hear his voice,

95:8. do not harden your hearts as you did at Meribah, as you did that day at Massah in the desert,

95:9. where your fathers tested and tried me, though they had seen what I did.

95:10. For forty years I was angry with that generation; I said, "They are a people whose hearts go astray, and they have not known my ways."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Thanksgiving is very important in our every day lives. When you thank people for what they have done, there is every tendencies they will get more. It is also a sign of been hopeful or having faith that the person will give you more. For God, we supposed to praise & worship Him always because of lives, provisions and salvation. Learn to do this today and be uplifted in Jesus name, Amen.

You are not condemned by God

TODAY’S TOPIC: You are not condemned by God

Text: John 7:2-11 (NIV):

"8:2. At dawn he appeared again in the temple courts, where all the people gathered around him, and he sat down to teach them.

8:3. The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group

8:4. and said to Jesus, "Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery.

8:5. In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?"

8:6. They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him. But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger.

8:7. When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, "If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her."

8:8. Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground.

8:9. At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there.

8:10. Jesus straightened up and asked her, "Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?"

8:11. "No one, sir," she said. "Then neither do I condemn you," Jesus declared. "Go now and leave your life of sin."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Christ Jesus did not come to kill but to give an everlasting life, to restore life, make life better and increase our yield. A woman was condemned over what the world claimed she did wrong. But because God is ever merciful, He did not condemn her. Of a truth, the world can hate or condemn you over nothing. God is telling you today not to shake as He will not forsake you too. Our God does not judge like humans do. His word is A and Amen. He is our final bus stop... Believe it and enjoy everlasting joy. Like this woman, when the world condemns and drags you out for disgrace, you shall be restored in Jesus name, Amen.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, my father, create a scenario where those who will drag me out will be shamed as God uses the opportunity to uplift and restore my life ... in Jesus name, Amen.

2. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, this week will not pass me by...in Jesus name, Amen.

3. O God arise and fix my health by fire...in Jesus name, Amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: The Obedience Shall rejoice

Text: Isaiah 1:18-27 (NIV):

"1:18. Come now, let us reason together," says the LORD. "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.

1:19 If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the best from the land;

1:20 but if you resist and rebel, you will be devoured by the sword." For the mouth of the LORD has spoken.

1:21 See how the faithful city has become a harlot! She once was full of justice; righteousness used to dwell in her--but now murderers!

1:22 Your silver has become dross, your choice wine is diluted with water.

1:23 Your rulers are rebels, companions of thieves; they all love bribes and chase after gifts. They do not defend the cause of the fatherless; the widow's case does not come before them.

1:24 Therefore the Lord, the LORD Almighty, the Mighty One of Israel, declares: "Ah, I will get relief from my foes and avenge myself on my enemies.

1:25 I will turn my hand against you; I will thoroughly purge away your dross and remove all your impurities.

1:26 I will restore your judges as in days of old, your counselors as at the beginning. Afterward you will be called the City of Righteousness, the Faithful City."

1:27 Zion will be redeemed with justice, her penitent ones with righteousness."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Welcome to a new day, brethren. Is like today is specially dedicated to reach out to Nigerians as they walk to the poll. God, Almighty has assured us free, fair and violence elections. Election is a call for us to come back and reason together with God through our votes. We have prayed, we have fasted for four or eight years now, we have sought for His counselling too. We are left with no choice than to show ourselves approve before Him (God) by going to vote according to our conscience. Do not allow any politician to hoodwink you or influence you with money and some other gifts. Consider the programmes of actions presented by both political parties and candidates, you will see the best to chose for the National Assembly, Governors and the States Assembly. For the President, truth remains that the Labour Party's Presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi stands a greater chance of changing the face of the country. Let's give another change a trial. Change is continuous, dynamic in nature and steady. You cannot progress when you continue doing things the same way.  In verse 19 of today's reading, God promised us favour, open door, restoration and upliftment if we are willing to take the right path and obedience to His word. God will not disappoint you in every area of your lives in Jesus name, Amen.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, my father, as I go to vote on February 25th and March 11, nothing will prevent me from living up to Your expectations of me ... in Jesus name, Amen.

2. My father, my father, cage and destroy every spirit of violence and confusions targeted against me this season...in Jesus name, Amen.

3. O God arise and speak for me where I am not present, and favour me beyond reasonable doubt... Jesus name, Amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: There is an end to every action

Text: 2 Corinthians 11:12-16 (NIV):

"11:12. And I will keep on doing what I am doing in order to cut the ground from under those who want an opportunity to be considered equal with us in the things they boast about.

11:13. For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ.

11:14. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.

11:15. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.

11:16. I repeat: Let no one take me for a fool. But if you do, then receive me just as you would a fool, so that I may do a little boasting."

SHOWER (Reflection):

There is an end to every action. Follow Christ Jesus; because He knows the road to His father's,God. Hence, Apostle Paul said He will continue doing what is right in order to prevent emancipation of the false prophets. This is applied to us. We must join hands together in exposing the false prophets, fake pastors, falsehood, evil practices in the Christendom and the world. Don't promote anything that doesn't glorify God even if it is being done by your parents, brothers or sisters. God will help us to succeed in Jesus name, Amen.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, my father, because You live, I declare myself ready for your services...in Jesus name, Amen.

2. Holy Ghost arise and fight our battle in this country until the will of God prevail against men...in Jesus name, Amen.

Don't conform yourself to the world

TODAY’S TOPIC: Don't conform yourself to the world 

Text: John 7:3-12 (NIV):

"7:3. Jesus' brothers said to him, "You ought to leave here and go to Judea, so that your disciples may see the miracles you do.

7:4. No one who wants to become a public figure acts in secret. Since you are doing these things, show yourself to the world."

7:5. For even his own brothers did not believe in him.

7:6. Therefore Jesus told them, "The right time for me has not yet come; for you any time is right.

7:7. The world cannot hate you, but it hates me because I testify that what it does is evil.

7:8. You go to the Feast. I am not yet going up to this Feast, because for me the right time has not yet come."

7:9. Having said this, he stayed in Galilee.

7:10. However, after his brothers had left for the Feast, he went also, not publicly, but in secret.

7:11. Now at the Feast the Jews were watching for him and asking, "Where is that man?"

7:12. Among the crowds there was widespread whispering about him. Some said, "He is a good man." Others replied, "No, he deceives the people."

SHOWER (Reflection):

The book of Romans 12: 2 urges us not to  conform to the world and their patterns of doing things. But to always seek the face or minds of God so that we can only do according to His will. Today, Jesus Christ was confronted by His brothers to join a feast to show Himself to the world publicly as others are doing. But He declined although He later went secretly (as approved by God at that particular time). We are always victims of pressure and pleasure by the world. God may be telling you to kneel, stand or seat down and pray, or go to Church... but works, people around you, music, party, other situations are calling your attention elsewhere. No one is saying you should not enjoy or participate in social life. But we are saying that you should have time for all things (Ecc. 3:1). Be careful else you fall into danger. The Igbo say that a rat which fells into water because it sees the lizard swimming will end up drown. Don't do things because others are doing it or the way others are doing it. Be original! Be creative! Be innovative! Your name or works of hand will find you because God promised to bless the works of our hands (Deuteronomy 16:15; 28:12). 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, my father, please bless the works of my hand today...in Jesus name, Amen.

2. This is my week for greatness. Today is my day for excellence. I will not submit to the enemy. God's hand is upon me ...in Jesus name, Amen.

3. My father, my maker, put celebrations into the mouth of Nigerians this week ...in Jesus name, Amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: Your faith will speak for you 

Text: Luke 7:42-50 (NIV):

"7:41. Two men owed money to a certain moneylender. One owed him five hundred denarii, and the other fifty.

7:42. Neither of them had the money to pay him back, so he canceled the debts of both. Now which of them will love him more?"

7:43. Simon replied, "I suppose the one who had the bigger debt canceled." "You have judged correctly," Jesus said.

7:44. Then he turned toward the woman and said to Simon, "Do you see this woman? I came into your house. You did not give me any water for my feet, but she wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair.

7:45. You did not give me a kiss, but this woman, from the time I entered, has not stopped kissing my feet.

7:46. You did not put oil on my head, but she has poured perfume on my feet.

7:47. Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven--for she loved much. But he who has been forgiven little loves little."

7:48. Then Jesus said to her, "Your sins are forgiven."

7:49. The other guests began to say among themselves, "Who is this who even forgives sins?"

7:50. Jesus said to the woman, "Your faith has saved you; go in peace."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Do not be bothered over what people do or say about you or your situation. Let us always approach God with faith. A woman of Pharisee that approached Jesus and was weeping, crying and showing remorse to her sins entails what God expected from us. She embarked on this journey not minding that people may reject or castigate her. And that day eventually became her day of answered prayers. Our God will hear your prayers today and restore your lost glory as you go out today ...in Jesus name, Amen.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, I have before You with all my heart and my sinful nature, do not pass me by ...in Jesus name, Amen.

2. O God arise today and speak for me in the table where decisions concerning me will be treated... In Jesus name, Amen.

3. As I step into a new week today, am stepping into solutions to my problems ...in Jesus name, Amen.
