TODAY’S TOPIC: Nothing but tools in God's hands

Text: Psalm 102:11-15 (NIV):

"102:11. My days are like the evening shadow; I wither away like grass.

102:12. But you, O LORD, sit enthroned forever; your renown endures through all generations.

102:13. You will arise and have compassion on Zion, for it is time to show favor to her; the appointed time has come.

102:14. For her stones are dear to your servants; her very dust moves them to pity.

102:15. The nations will fear the name of the LORD, all the kings of the earth will revere your glory."

SHOWER (Reflection):

As tools in God's hands, we can go to any length whenever we are submissive to Him. Because when the knife refused to cut trees down, the owner can either fix it or drop it to buy new one. This applies to us, we are under God's care to use. God sits in thrown forever and will lead forever. We therefore, need to remain submissive to Him so He can use and also uplift us.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, my father, forget my doubting spirit and faithlessness. Please, use me to perfect Your will on earth in Jesus name, Amen.

2. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I shall be elevated to the next level of my life before the end of this month, in Jesus name, Amen 

3. O you demonic powers on prowl to pull me down, I pull you down by the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, Amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: Principle of mentorship  

Text: 2 Timothy 1:7-14 (NIV):

"1:7. For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.

1:8. So do not be ashamed to testify about our Lord, or ashamed of me his prisoner. But join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God,

1:9. who has saved us and called us to a holy life--not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time,

1:10. but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.

1:11. And of this gospel I was appointed a herald and an apostle and a teacher.

1:12. That is why I am suffering as I am. Yet I am not ashamed, because I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him for that day.

1:13. What you heard from me, keep as the pattern of sound teaching, with faith and love in Christ Jesus.

1:14. Guard the good deposit that was entrusted to you--guard it with the help of the Holy Spirit who lives in us."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Paul kept on relating with his son, Timothy, encouraging him to keep following the messages he heard, the footsteps of his mother and to always testify of God's goodness in his dear life. This is what is called mentorship! Legacy! The lessons from this passage are many. First, we must learn from the mistakes and good footsteps of our parents. Learn also from your church leaders or mentors and move on to testify of God's goodness. You must become someone else mentor. But your character must change to effect positive changes into your mentes. Let's this guide you to build your faith in God so you won't miss heaven at last. 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, my father, empower me to become a good mentor who with his mentes will all make heaven at last, in Jesus name, Amen.

2. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I will never be a disappointment to my generation and generations to come. Any attempt by the devil to turn me into one, die...in Jesus name, Amen 

3. O God arise and rewind the hand of clock for my blessings to begin to manifest now in Jesus name, Amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: God did not send them

Text: Jeremiah 14:14-18 (NIV):

14:14. Then the LORD said to me, "The prophets are prophesying lies in my name. I have not sent them or appointed them or spoken to them. They are prophesying to you false visions, divinations, idolatries and the delusions of their own minds.

14:15. Therefore, this is what the LORD says about the prophets who are prophesying in my name: I did not send them, yet they are saying, 'No sword or famine will touch this land.' Those same prophets will perish by sword and famine.

14:16. And the people they are prophesying to will be thrown out into the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and sword. There will be no one to bury them or their wives, their sons or their daughters. I will pour out on mythem the calamity they deserve.

14:17. "Speak this word to them: "'Let eyes overflow with tears night and day without ceasing; for my virgin daughter--my people--has suffered a grievous wound, a crushing blow.

14:18. If I go into the country, I see those slain by the sword; if I go into the city, I see the ravages of famine. Both prophet and priest have gone to a land they know not."

SHOWER (Reflection):

God says He will not accept them because they were not sent by Him. Most people parading as God's servants or men/women of God called themselves as pastors, prophesy, etc. This is among the reasons we have many evils in our land. People are doing a lot of things to survive or be noticed. Our God is in disappointed on them and had decreed evil upon them. Think within you and see how you can purge yourself of evil practices before is too late. 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God arise, stop and frustrate every plans of the enemy to stop me half way,. in  Jesus name, Amen.

2. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, my expectations in life shall never be caught shot...in Jesus name, Amen 

3. My father, my father, my father! Multiply my income, increase the works of my hands so that i can make greater impact for  Your gospel, in Jesus name, Amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: Finding unmerited favour from God

Text: Luke 1:26-38 (NIV):

1:26. In the sixth month, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee,

1:27. to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin's name was Mary.

1:28. The angel went to her and said, "Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you."

1:29 Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be.

1:30. But the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God.

1:31. You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus.

1:32. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David,

1:33. and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end."

1:34. "How will this be," Mary asked the angel, "since I am a virgin?"

1:35. The angel answered, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God.

1:36. Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to be barren is in her sixth month.

1:37. For nothing is impossible with God."

1:38. "I am the Lord's servant," Mary answered. "May it be to me as you have said." Then the angel left her.

SHOWER (Reflection):

Unmerited favour is striking gift from God. It is higher and most precious of all gifts. Why I said so is because it is something you never bargained or worked for or merited. But you were chosen by God to enjoy such favour and condition due to covenant existing between God and probably your parents, towns or so. God can use a stone to settle this but He decided to use the available. This calls for seriousness, preservation and readiness. Never be discouraged in life. Wait upon the Lord! Mary was available and God decided to use her and her relative to bring the saviour on earth.  It is a wakeup call for us to live a Holy and faithful life so that we will find favour before Him. This comes with a lot of sacrifices. Mary sacrificed pleasures to qualify for this, just like Joseph. David sacrificed his time by investing in a skilled job or talent. Moses was careful to his environment, etc. You too must qualify in the name of Jesus Christ,Amen. 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, I am available! Package me and use me to fulfil Your promise to your people... in  Jesus name, Amen.

2. Anointing of favour from above, fall upon my life, increase me and prosper me...in Jesus name, Amen.

3. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I cannot work for another to eat in Jesus name , Amen.

Compassionate restoration

TODAY’S TOPIC: Compassionate restoration 

Text: Jeremiah 12:12-17 (NIV):

12:12. Over all the barren heights in the desert destroyers will swarm, for the sword of the LORD will devour from one end of the land to the other; no one will be safe.

12:13. They will sow wheat but reap thorns; they will wear themselves out but gain nothing. So bear the shame of your harvest because of the LORD'S fierce anger."

12:14. This is what the LORD says: "As for all my wicked neighbors who seize the inheritance I gave my people Israel, I will uproot them from their lands and I will uproot the house of Judah from among them.

12:15. But after I uproot them, I will again have compassion and will bring each of them back to his own inheritance and his own country.

12:16. And if they learn well the ways of my people and swear by my name, saying, 'As surely as the LORD lives'--even as they once taught my people to swear by Baal--then they will be established among my people.

12:17. But if any nation does not listen, I will completely uproot and destroy it," declares the LORD."

SHOWER (Reflection):

God is reassuring us today that He will surely restore us on the last day. He is ever compassionate God. So matter what the enemy has done or pretends to do, do not worry about their physical empty threats. He has promised to uproot our enemies. This according to Him, can only be done to those who would genuinely repent, While the unrepentant would be completely annihilated. Which of them do you belong?  Please do not deny yourself the opportunity.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, my father, take away my reproach, restore me with Your goodies in Jesus name, Amen.

2. O God arise, lock up the household enemies and occupy their territories as free gifts to Your children...in Jesus name, Amen.

3. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, this week must favour me , in Jesus name , Amen.
