TODAY’S TOPIC: Serve to be Saved

Text: John 15:1-10 (NIV)

"15:1.  I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener.

15:2. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.

15:3. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you.

15:4. Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.

15:5. "I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

15:6. If anyone does not remain in me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.

15:7. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you.

15:8. This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.

15:9. "As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love.

15:10. If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father's commands and remain in his love."

SHOWER (Reflection):

If you must succeed in life, you must submit yourself under someone as their servant. Principles of nature is that a master is over the servant, and must go extra mile to protect him. When you serve, you imbibe new virtues, skills, recognitions and so on. Today's scripture is appealing to us to submit ourselves totally to God so that He will give us our various needs. He is our father. No sensible father that will like his child to suffer or not succeed. 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, I thank You for allowing me to see this weekend. I submit myself to You. Mould me, use me and straighten me in Jesus name, Amen.

2. This is my day to succeed. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I command Saturday to release the remaining blessing God has made available for me this week in Jesus name, Amen.

3. O God, my father, because You are alive. I cannot suffer or die the same way my parents or relatives suffer or die in Jesus name, Amen!!!

TODAY’S TOPIC: Why you must seek wisdom 

Text: Proverb 8:11-21 (NIV)

"8:11. for wisdom is more precious than rubies, and nothing you desire can compare with her.

8:12. "I, wisdom, dwell together with prudence; I possess knowledge and discretion.

8:13. To fear the LORD is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech.

8:14. Counsel and sound judgment are mine; I have understanding and power.

8:15. By me kings reign and rulers make laws that are just;

8:16. by me princes govern, and all nobles who rule on earth.

8:17. I love those who love me, and those who seek me find me.

8:18. With me are riches and honor, enduring wealth and prosperity.

8:19. My fruit is better than fine gold; what I yield surpasses choice silver.

8:20. I walk in the way of righteousness, along the paths of justice,

8:21. bestowing wealth on those who love me and making their treasuries full."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Wisdom is an asset, great gift from God. If you want to live longer in life with sound health and joy, seek wisdom. It was first thing King Solomon requested from God, and the benefits were the blessings he got from everywhere. With wisdom, you can distinguish between the black and blue, discover and invest on new opportunities. You may not get quick money through it, but wealth will surely come. Kneel down to seek for it before is too late.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, I need wisdom. Please, make me wise so that I will serve You better and enjoy a longer healthy life in Jesus name, Amen.

2. I refuse to suffer pains and agony this month. Everyday of this month is blessed for me to live higher in Jesus name, Amen.

3. O God arise, by Your mercy and love, help me to enjoy the fruits of labour. Attract men and women to bless me in Jesus name, Amen!!!

TODAY’S TOPIC: The Book of life

Text: Daniel 12:1-4 (NIV)

"12:1. At that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then. But at that time your people--everyone whose name is found written in the book--will be delivered.

12:2. Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt.

12:3. Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever.

12:4. But you, Daniel, close up and seal the words of the scroll until the time of the end. Many will go here and there to increase knowledge."

SHOWER (Reflection):

The book of life is a sacred document containing believers name who are candidates of heaven. Today's scripture is reminding us of heaven and hell-fire, rapture and judgement day. It wants us to remember that tribulations will come, and second coming is at hand. It assures that anyone whose name is found in the book of life will be saved. How can someone's name appear in the book of life? That is by been born-again and righteous life because our God is Holy. We too must be Holy. Think over this before it is too late. 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, I am a sinner. Please, have mercy on me and rewrite my name in the book of life in Jesus name, Amen.

2. O you wicked souls and personalities vowing to make me loose heaven. I reject you and your pranks. Your work is forever ineffective where am in Jesus name, Amen.

3. O God arise, by Your mercy and love, help me to enjoy the fruits of labour. Attract men and women to bless me in Jesus name, Amen!!!

TODAY’S TOPIC: Facts about righteousness

Text: 2 Timothy 2:22-26 (NIV)

"2:22. Flee the evil desires of youth, and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

2:23. Don't have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels.

2:24. And the Lord's servant must not quarrel; instead, he must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful.

2:25. Those who oppose him he must gently instruct, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth,

2:26. and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will."

SHOWER (Reflection):

To be Righteous is to do things right; to be holy, live and behave like Christ. The righteous is expected to be wise. That is why today's teaching is calling on youth to be righteous. A righteous youth is expected to be holy, wise, truthful and knowledgeable. With this, he can be a good ambassador for Christ, know when to do one thing or another or propagate the word without fear or favour.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, make me a righteous youth so that my seed will change this generation to good for Christ, in Jesus name, Amen.

2. O you wicked souls, I reject you and your works. You can't stop me from following and propagating Christ in Jesus name, Amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: Are you a Light of the world?

Text: John 8: 12-19 (NIV)

"8:12. When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."

8:13. The Pharisees challenged him, "Here you are, appearing as your own witness; your testimony is not valid."

8:14. Jesus answered, "Even if I testify on my own behalf, my testimony is valid, for I know where I came from and where I am going. But you have no idea where I come from or where I am going.

8:15. You judge by human standards; I pass judgment on no one.

8:16. But if I do judge, my decisions are right, because I am not alone. I stand with the Father, who sent me.

8:17. In your own Law it is written that the testimony of two men is valid.

8:18. I am one who testifies for myself; my other witness is the Father, who sent me."

8:19. Then they asked him, "Where is your father?" "You do not know me or my Father," Jesus replied. "If you knew me, you would know my Father also."

SHOWER (Reflection):

What happened when you lit a candle or switch on an electric bulb? If my guess is right, it shines;  and chases away darkness. That's the function it was actually sent to achieve. Light is meant to show people the way, announce arrival of new things, uncover the hidden, etc. In our today's teaching, Jesus announced Himself as the light of the world, adding that whoever walks with or in Him will have light everlasting. Great! He came to save us, redeem us and reconcile us with God. That is what He expected us to live by or be all through. If you are not living by that, kindly have a rethink before is too late.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, make me the light that will shine in the world so that more souls shall be won for You in Jesus name, Amen.

2. O you wicked spirit of death following Ember month, my life is not available for you. The life of my family members who believe in Jesus are not also available for you this year. Therefore, I command you to die and be roasted by fire in Jesus name, Amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: Good works attracts persecution 

Text: 1 Peter 3:13-22 (NIV)

"3:13. Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good?

3:14.But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. "Do not fear what they fear; do not be frightened."

3:15. But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,

3:16. keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander.

3:17. It is better, if it is God's will, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.

3:18. For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit,

3:19. through whom also he went and preached to the spirits in prison

3:20. who disobeyed long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built. In it only a few people, eight in all, were saved through water,

3:21. and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also--not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a good conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

3:22. who has gone into heaven and is at God's right hand--with angels, authorities and powers in submission to him.

SHOWER (Reflection):

Many believed that once they are doing good things should improve for them. That is perfectly okay. But not always ideal for spiritual growth. Christ was persecuted because He was good man. Today's scripture is also telling us the same thing that may happen when you are in Christ. It says we should however not be perturbed because it shall be well at the last day. 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, I trust in You. Please, do not allow me to be passed by in Jesus Christ, Amen.

2. O you wicked fellow eying me for destruction. I summon you before the alter of God. Die in Jesus name, Amen.

3. O God arise, by Your mercy and love, shower me with Your favour this week in Jesus name, Amen!!!

Do not be boastful

TODAY’S TOPIC: Do not Boast 

Text: James 4:13-17(NIV)

"14:13. Now listen, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money."

4:14. Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes.

4:15. Instead, you ought to say, "If it is the Lord's will, we will live and do this or that.

4:16. As it is, you boast and brag. All such boasting is evil.

4:17Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn't do it, sins."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Do not boast like unbelievers and the pride do. Who knows tomorrow? Only God knows what will happen in the next one seconds. Today's message is reminding us the simplicity and dynamic of the world. If you say you will do this or that, He can come and take you immediately. It is telling us that God is supreme. His will must always prevail.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, I am hungry and thirsty for Your will to be done in my wife. Please, don't let them pass me by in Jesus Christ, Amen.

2. Agenda of the wicked over my life and destiny, die and burn to ashes in Jesus name, Amen.

3. O You God, Almighty father for  marriage, promotions and bountiful harvest,  I need you today. I need you today in Jesus name, Amen!!!
