My father's will and bread of life

Prayer before the Word: 

 _O God, I appreciate You and Your loving kindness towards me. I pray You to open my eyes to learn new things and behave so kindly in Jesus name, Amen_ 

TODAY’S TOPIC: My father's will and bread of life

Text: John 6:35-40 (AMP Bible)

“Jesus replied to them, “I am the Bread of Life. The one who comes to Me will never be hungry, and the one who believes in Me [as Savior] will never be thirsty [for that one will be sustained spiritually]. But as I told you, you have seen Me and still you do not believe. All that My Father gives Me will come to Me; and the one who comes to Me I will most certainly not cast out [I will never, never reject anyone who follows Me]. For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but to do the will of Him who sent Me. This is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me I lose nothing, but that I [give new life and] raise it up at the last day. For this is My Father’s will and purpose, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him [as Savior] will have eternal life, and I will raise him up [from the dead] on the last day.”

*SHOWER:*

Jesus says He's the bread of life, and that whoever comes to Him will never be hungry or thirsty but fulfilled. But they didn't believe Him. We didn't believe Him despite all He's doing for us. He adds that He has come to do the will of His father? What is the will of your father? Some of us have or had fathers who were thieves, killers, adulters, idolaters, etc. An adage says that he whose father was known for robbery would surely become notorious in the act. That is, a man or woman will definitely behave like their father (do the wills of their father.) However, Jesus Christ has a father that involves Him in all He does; a father with whom the world and all in it were created (John 1 and Genesis 1). You can now imagine what we stand to gain if we come to Him? You will enjoy life everlasting, wealth, love, laughter, forward ever and so on. This is because His father is a good God and everything is under His care, and He has given it to His son to give to us (who believes in Him). The bread of life is before you. What are you still waiting for?

*PRAYER/DECLARATIONS*

O God, I thank You, for feeding me with Your word. I have come to eat the bread of life. Please, do not forsake me in Jesus name, Amen!

*1. I acknowledge the mighty power of God. Hence, I have come to eat the bread of life and have a fulfilled life.*

*2. Therefore, I will no longer be hungry or thirsty like the world do.*

*3. I hereby decree and declare that the bread of life I have eaten will make ways for me today and forever in Jesus name, Amen.*

TODAY’S TOPIC: Fasting needed by God

Text: Jeremiah 58:1-14 (AMP Bible)

“Cry aloud, do not hold back; Lift up your voice like a trumpet, And declare to My people their transgression And to the house of Jacob their sins.

 “Yet they seek Me day by day and delight [superficially] to know My ways, As [if they were in reality] a nation that has done righteousness And has not abandoned (turned away from) the ordinance of their God. They ask of Me righteous judgments, They delight in the nearness of God. ‘Why have we fasted,’ they say, ‘and You do not see it? Why have we humbled ourselves and You do not notice?’ Hear this [O Israel], on the day of your fast [when you should be grieving for your sins] you find something you desire [to do], And you force your hired servants to work [instead of stopping all work, as the law teaches]. “The facts are that you fast only for strife and brawling and to strike with the fist of wickedness. You do not fast as you do today to make your voice heard on high. “Is a fast such as this what I have chosen, a day for a man to humble himself [with sorrow in his soul]? Is it only to bow down his head like a reed And to make sackcloth and ashes as a bed [pretending to have a repentant heart]? Do you call this a fast and a day pleasing to the Lord? “[Rather] is this not the fast which I choose, To undo the bonds of wickedness, To tear to pieces the ropes of the yoke, To let the oppressed go free And break apart every [enslaving] yoke? “Is it not to divide your bread with the hungry And bring the homeless poor into the house; When you see the naked, that you cover him, And not to hide yourself from [the needs of] your own flesh and blood? “Then your light will break out like the dawn, And your healing (restoration, new life) will quickly spring forth; Your righteousness will go before you [leading you to peace and prosperity], The glory of the Lord will be your rear guard. “Then you will call, and the Lord will answer; You will cry for help, and He will say, ‘Here I am.’ If you take away from your midst the yoke [of oppression], The finger pointed in scorn [toward the oppressed or the godly], and [every form of] wicked (sinful, unjust) speech, And if you offer yourself to [assist] the hungry And satisfy the need of the afflicted, Then your light will rise in darkness And your gloom will become like midday. “And the Lord will continually guide you, And satisfy your soul in scorched and dry places, And give strength to your bones; And you will be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water whose waters do not fail. “And your people will rebuild the ancient ruins; You will raise up and restore the age-old foundations [of buildings that have been laid waste]; You will be called Repairer of the Breach, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings. Keeping the Sabbath “If you turn back your foot from [unnecessary travel on] the Sabbath, From doing your own pleasure on My holy day, And call the Sabbath a [spiritual] delight, and the holy day of the Lord honorable, And honor it, not going your own way Or engaging in your own pleasure Or speaking your own [idle] words, Then you will take pleasure in the Lord, And I will make you ride on the high places of the earth, And I will feed you with the [promised] heritage of Jacob your father; For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.”

*SHOWER:*

Welcome to day 2 of seeking God's face. Fasting is a very serious venture requiring extra care and work to execute. Go through our texts again to see what is required of you, especially if you are among those observing lenting period or individuals fasting. God demanded total repentance from us. He wants us to totally depend on Him. He also wants us to back up the prayers with charity and love to all. Try applying this now. You will see different things in your life. 

*PRAYER/DECLARATIONS*

O God, I thank You, for feeding me p7n fed by Your word. I pray You to let Your Grace and Mercy carry me to do Your will in Jesus name, Amen!

*1. I am in God's hands. I have received the grace and mercy to fasting this season and beyond.

*2. Therefore, I shall be the head and not the tail. My household is unstoppable.*

Who is a true God?

 _O God, I thank You for a bright new day. I am sorry for my wrongdoings. Help me to understand Your word and apply it accordingly in Jesus name, Amen_ 

TODAY’S TOPIC: Who is a true God?

Text: Jeremiah 10:10-12 (AMP Bible)

"But the Lord is the true God and the God who is Truth; He is the living God and the everlasting King. The earth quakes and shudders at His wrath, And the nations are not able to endure His indignation. In this manner you shall say to them, “The gods that did not make the heavens and the earth will perish from the earth and from under the heavens.” God made the earth by His power; He established the world by His wisdom And by His understanding and skill He has stretched out the heavens."

*SHOWER:*

Jeremiah recognised our God as the only TRUE God. Because everything that was created and things in the world, including Heaven and Earth were made by Him (John 1:1-5). Then, why do people still worship idols, water, lands, fire and others as their gods? How can someone or something created out of something exist as a god unto that thing? Can a son begets son before his father? It's ridiculous! What a shame on people who refer what they carved out gods unto them! We must worship the only true God now to be saved. March is a month for favour. March out now to be counted by December! March out now with God to become counted on the last day!!! 

*PRAYER/DECLARATIONS*

Glorious God, I thank You. I have been fed by Your word. I pray You to let Your Grace and Mercy carry me to do Your will in Jesus name, Amen!

*1. I stand out to worship the only true God in this month of March. I cannot worship the gods created by human hands.*

*2. I hereby decree and declare God's grace and favour unto myself and my household so that we can follow Him without shaking.*

 _O God, the giver of life, I bow to worship You again for finding me worthy of Your continiious blessing. Please, guide and shield me to know You more and do Your will in Jesus name, Amen_ 

TODAY’S TOPIC: Time for renewing our vows to God 

Text: Joel 2:13-17 (AMP Bible)

" Rip your heart to pieces [in sorrow and contrition] and not your garments.” Now return [in repentance] to the Lord your God, For He is gracious and compassionate, Slow to anger, abounding in lovingkindness [faithful to His covenant with His people]; And He relents [His sentence of] evil [when His people genuinely repent]. Who knows whether He will relent [and revoke your sentence], And leave a blessing behind Him, Even a grain offering and a drink offering [from the bounty He provides you] For the Lord your God? Blow a trumpet in Zion [warning of impending judgment], Dedicate a fast [as a day of restraint and humility], call a solemn assembly. Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, Assemble the elders, Gather the children and the nursing infants. Let the bridegroom come out of his room And the bride out of her bridal chamber. [No one is excused from the assembly.] Let the priests, the ministers of the Lord, Weep between the porch and the altar, And let them say, “Have compassion and spare Your people, O Lord, And do not make Your inheritance (Israel) an object of ridicule, Or a [humiliating] byword among the [Gentile] nations. Why should they say among the peoples, ‘Where is their God?’”

*SHOWER:*

Brethren, welcome to a new chapter with God. This is actually the third month or third quarter of the year. Do you still remember your new year resolutions, plans and actions towards the year 2022? This is the right time to renew your covenant with God. This is the right time to remember your past, forsake the evil and seek a right path if you must achieve your plans and purpose in life this year. Fasting and prayers is one path to achieving that. Humble yourself, draw a new line and see to it. There is still hope that you will drive that vehicle, build new house, marry, further your education, etc. as you planned late last year. God can do that for you once you remain faithful. 

*PRAYER/DECLARATIONS*

Wonderful God, I thank You for a time like this. Help me to follow You faithfully although in Christ Jesus I pray, Amen!

*1. God I am still Your child. There is nothing that will make me deny You and Your presence in my life.*

*2. I have turned my face before the father. My covenant with God is hereby renewed and taken a bit higher.*

*3. I hereby declare and declare that nothing will ever make turn back from serving the most High God this month.*

*4. Therefore, I have risen to conquer my world. His Grace, His Favour and Mercy shall protect, guide and make ways for me in my family, offices, businesses and all endeavours in Jesus name, Amen.*

TODAY’S TOPIC: Powerful and Dependable God

Text: Psalm 97:1-9 (AMP Bible)

"The Lord reigns, let the earth rejoice; Let the many islands and coastlands be glad. Clouds and thick darkness surround Him [as at Sinai]; Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. Fire goes before Him And burns up His adversaries on all sides. His lightnings have illuminated the world; The earth has seen and trembled. The mountains melted like wax at the presence of the Lord, At the presence of the Lord of the whole earth. The heavens declare His righteousness, And all the peoples see His glory and brilliance. Let all those be [deeply] ashamed who serve carved images, Who boast in idols. Worship Him, all you gods! Zion heard this and was glad, And the daughters (cities) of Judah rejoiced [in relief] Because of Your judgments, O Lord. For You are the Lord Most High over all the earth; You are exalted far above all gods.

*SHOWER:*

The most powerful God and excellent God, I adore you. He reigns above the world. All the living and nonliving are under his footsteps.  So, why can you choose an idol which you know that the tree or sand used in constructing was created by God. The Earth has seen His power and trembled. We must worship Him alone. Thank Him for a new month. Thank Him for a new day. Thank Him life. 

*PRAYER/DECLARATIONS*

O God, I thank You for Your words. I decrease for you to increase in my life today, this week and throughout this month in Jesus name, Amen!

*1. My God reigns. Therefore, I must reign and dominate in my generation to Him glory.

*2. I hereby decree and declare that God has bestowed on me a crown of success and forwardever this month.*

*3. Therefore, I shall rise to build mountains, bless people and lack nothing in health and finances throughput this month of February In Jesus name, Amen.*

TODAY’S TOPIC: On Judgement Day

Text: John 5:25-29 (AMP Bible)

"I assure you and most solemnly say to you, a time is coming and is [here] now, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear it will live. For just as the Father has life in Himself [and is self-existent], even so He has given to the Son to have life in Himself [and be self-existent]. And He has given Him authority to execute judgment, because He is a Son of Man [sinless humanity, qualifying Him to sit in judgment over mankind]. Do not be surprised at this; for a time is coming when all those who are in the tombs will hear His voice, and they will come out—those who did good things [will come out] to a resurrection of [new] life, but those who did evil things [will come out] to a resurrection of judgment [that is, to be sentenced]."

*SHOWER:*

This is an account of what will happen on the last day. The dead will hear their names and stand to account for their wrongdoings. The living will equally be called to recount their sins before the Son of God, whom the power has been given to judge the world. Unfortunately, people seemed not to believe this. I say this because this is not our first time of hearing this. The issue is how far are we putting it into practice? If you look at what is happening around you, you will surely discover that we are living as if we are expecting that day. There are Churches everywhere. There are religious activities everywhere. But sins are still on increase! Brother, why? Sister, why?  

*PRAYER/DECLARATIONS*

O God, I thank You for enriching me spiritually this morning. Guide my footsteps so that I won't deviate in Jesus name, Amen!

*1. I believe in the life after death. By His grace, I cannot be found wanting on the judgement day!*

*2. I hereby decree and declare that nothing on Earth can make me lose the opportunity to be in heaven.*

*3. Therefore, I prophesy purity, good health and favour unto myself in this world, and heaven on the last day. In Jesus name, Amen.*

TODAY’S TOPIC: God of impossibility

Text: Mark 9:22-27 (AMP Bible)

"The demon has often thrown him both into fire and into water, intending to kill him. But if You can do anything, take pity on us and help us!” Jesus said to him, “[You say to Me,] ‘If You can?’ All things are possible for the one who believes and trusts [in Me]!” Immediately the father of the boy cried out [with a desperate, piercing cry], saying, “I do believe; help [me overcome] my unbelief.” When Jesus saw that a crowd was rapidly gathering [around them], He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, “You deaf and mute spirit, I command you, come out of him and never enter him again!” After screaming out and throwing him into a terrible convulsion, it came out. The boy looked so much like a corpse [so still and pale] that many [of the spectators] said, “He is dead!” But Jesus took him by the hand and raised him; and he stood up."

*SHOWER:*

Our God is God of impossibilities. He works wonders to those who believed in Him, especially to those who seemed to have lost their hopes that their problems will be solved. In today's passage, Jesus met with a crowd; and one of them summoned courage to inform Him all his son had gone through with faith to be saved. Jesus rebuked the spirit and it came out, and the child became well. What is your problem in life? What are you passing through? Stop complaining. Bring it to God in prayers. He will surely make you well again. 

*PRAYER/DECLARATIONS*

Thank You, Jesus for Your words today. I pray You to forgive my sins and enable me to always put what I have learnt from You into practice. In Jesus name, I pray Amen!

*1. I believe in possiblity of every impossibilities in the world whenever my God intervenes!*

*2. I hereby decree and declare open doors and freedom to me from every impossible situations in my life.*

*3. I receive the Divine power and mercy to triumph and stand firm in Jesus name, Amen.*
