Prayer before the Word:
_ O God, I thank You for yet another day. I magnify Your name because You are my God and all I have. Please, use me according to Your will and prosper me in Jesus name, Amen_

TODAY’S TOPIC: Prayer is the antidote 
Text: James 5:12- 16 (NIV):

"5:12. Above all, my brothers, do not swear--not by heaven or by earth or by anything else. Let your "Yes" be yes, and your "No," no, or you will be condemned.
5:13. Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise.
5:14. Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord.
5:15. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven.
5:16. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

SHOWER (Reflection):
Brethren, we have cried unto men alot. We have cried to the government, gods and offices yet no solution to our prayers. This is the right and perfect time for us to seek the face of God. Today's reading is encouraging us not to allow ourselves to be subjected to oath taking and complaints when our Lord Jesus is able and available to listen to us. Like Matthew 7:7, is also telling us to pray with faith, and the sick shall be healed, those in want will receive abundantly, and so on. Elijah prayed and rain ceased. Hannah prayed and received her child. We must seek the face of God and be uplifted in Jesus name, Amen.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS
1. O God, I seek Your face today. Whatever I might have done that will likely stand against my prayers today, please forgive me and answer my prayers...in Jesus name, Amen.

2. O God, my father, whatever that is standing on my way to receiving the answers to my prayers, destroy and pieces them as You did to the spirit of Persia in Jesus name, Amen.

3. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I refuse to end with this week. I shall see next week and beyond with laughter in Jesus Christ, Amen.

4. O God arise, let me dream job, spouse and upliftment come through before Monday in Jesus name, Amen!

TODAY’S TOPIC: Worshipping God for prosperity 

Text: 2 Timothy 6:3-8 (NIV):

"6:3. If anyone teaches false doctrines and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching,

6:4. he is conceited and understands nothing. He has an unhealthy interest in controversies and quarrels about words that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions

6:5. and constant friction between men of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain.

6:6. But godliness with contentment is great gain.

6:7. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it.

6:8. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that."

SHOWER (Reflection):

 We are in end time; fake prophesies and false teachings are on the rise. Many are now preaching what they want not what God or scripture says. Financial breakthrough is good. But what is it purpose?  Is that why you have taken your bible? Truly, God assured us that workers will receive their rewards. So, those who work in God's vineyard should be rewarded abundantly there. Bible says we should seek God's kingdom and His righteousness and everything will be added unto you. When King Solomon sought for Him, He blessed him. So ours won't be different. But in doing this, we must be contented with what we have and eschew all forms of pride, violence and greed. 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I refuse to succumb to false teachings and prophesies so that I will know Jesus better ... in Jesus name, Amen.

2. O God arise, reposition me for excellence and I will worship You forever... In Jesus name, Amen.

3. My favoured job or contract, appear now by fire in  Jesus Christ, Amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: My life is worth more than gold

Text: Luke 12:22-29 (NIV):

"12:22. Then Jesus said to his disciples: "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear.

12:23. Life is more than food, and the body more than clothes.

12:24. Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds!

12:25. Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?

12:26. Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?

12:27. "Consider how the lilies grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.

12:28. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith!

12:29. And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Sometimes we look at our present situation, environment or income and conclude that it is over. Many have committed suicide or crimes due to these anomalies. Ush! Our lives are worth more than gold. Is it not someone who is alive that acquire gold? God is telling us not to worry. He is saying that after rain, there shall be sun shine. It is not yet over until it is over. Worry not about what people around you are saying or doing to survive (once they are not genuine, legal or Holy). When you notice or discover that your life worth more than those things, you will rejoice with those who have and move on...then your blessings will come your way too in Jesus name, Amen. Consider the bird and other animals. Truth remains that if you think very well you will remember that you gain more when you struggle less and give God chance to perfect them. Yes. Give God time, stop complaining or wasting all the times on yourself alone. Do what is right and ask Him to bless the works of your hands...He will not disappoint you in Jesus name, Amen 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. Heavenly God, give me a new heart that I may recognize, reverence and allow You to bless the works of my hands ... in Jesus name, Amen.

2. O God arise by Your mercy and power, let there be confusion in that office, seat or house that you destined for me to occupy so that whoever is currently occupying it illegally must vacate it for me to come in... In Jesus name, Amen.

3. O you wicked power and evil foundation in charge of what I'm passing through, I command you to be destroyed by the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, Amen.

4. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I move out to conquer and return home victoriously ...in Jesus name, Amen!

TODAY’S TOPIC: Reaffirm your love in Christ is it

Text: 2 Corinthians 2:8-7 (NIV):

"2:8. I urge you, therefore, :8. I urge you, therefore, to reaffirm your love for him.

2:9. The reason I wrote you was to see if you would stand the test and be obedient in everything.

2:10. If you forgive anyone, I also forgive him. And what I have forgiven--if there was anything to forgive--I have forgiven in the sight of Christ for your sake,

2:11. in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes.

2:12. Now when I went to Troas to preach the gospel of Christ and found that the Lord had opened a door for me,

2:13. I still had no peace of mind, because I did not find my brother Titus there. So I said good-by to them and went on to Macedonia.

2:14. But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him.

2:15. For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing.

2:16. To the one we are the smell of death; to the other, the fragrance of life. And who is equal to such a task?

2:17. Unlike so many, we do not peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, like men sent from God." reaffirm your love for him.

SHOWER (Reflection):

It's terrible what is happening in our country, Nigeria. Everything has gone wrong as we draw closer to the February 25 Presidential poll. Everyone is now a hunter; both the hunt and the hunted are after some pounds fresh. How can be passing through financial challenges same time with petrol scarcity and others. The simple truth is that some persons are on the verge of retaliation. Politicians are hoarding money to show the CBN that they are unstoppable from winning through vote buying. The poor are also doing one thing or another to amass wealth. But Christ Jesus is telling us to return to the basics- Reaffirm our love in Him. When you love Him,you will definitely know that charging ₦200 for ₦1000 is evil. Sinful! Armedless robbery!!! Verse 8 talks of love, verse 9 urges us to be obedient despite the happenings, while verse 10 insist we must forgive. With these and other verses, i am urging all to be calm and remain faithful. 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, you have rescued me to rescue others. I hereby stand in Your holy name and declare others am holding captives in my mind.. in Jesus name, Amen.

2. In this midweek O lord, arise and manifest your power in my foundation, marrruage.in Jesus name, Amen.

3. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, i refuse to play second fiddle in life...in Jesus name, Amen!

TODAY’S TOPIC: Who are you?

Text: John 1:19-28 (NIV):

"1:19. Now this was John's testimony when the Jews of Jerusalem sent priests and Levites to ask him who he was.

1:20. He did not fail to confess, but confessed freely, "I am not the Christ."

1:21. They asked him, "Then who are you? Are you Elijah?" He said, "I am not." "Are you the Prophet?" He answered, "No."

1:22. Finally they said, "Who are you? Give us an answer to take back to those who sent us. What do you say about yourself?"

1:23. John replied in the words of Isaiah the prophet, "I am the voice of one calling in the desert, 'Make straight the way for the Lord.'"

1:24. Now some Pharisees who had been sent

1:25. questioned him, "Why then do you baptize if you are not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the Prophet?"

1:26. "I baptize with water," John replied, "but among you stands one you do not know.

1:27. He is the one who comes after me, the thongs of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie."

1:28. This all happened at Bethany on the other side of the Jordan, where John was baptizing."

SHOWER (Reflection):

In this life we live in, we are bound to receive different questions from different people. Because ground is not level. If you do good, people will ask questions. If you do bad, people will still do the same thing. Some are asking to receive honest or genuine answers. There are also those who are asking you just to obtain evidence they will use against you. This is why it is necessary you know your stand in life. Who are you? Are you a child of God? What else is your life showing in the physical. If you study today's verse well you will discover that questions directed to him was based on the miracles the people are witnessing and other things he does. So, we need to be sure that our lives preach Christ always. Find out who you are in Christ and live above it in Jesus name, Amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: Be not envious of your neighbour

Text: Psalm 73: 1-10 (NIV):

"73:1. Surely God is good to Israel, to those who are pure in heart.

73:2. But as for me, my feet had almost slipped; I had nearly lost my foothold.

73:3. For I envied the arrogant when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.

73:4. They have no struggles; their bodies are healthy and strong.

73:5. They are free from the burdens common to man; they are not plagued by human ills.

73:6. Therefore pride is their necklace; they clothe themselves with violence.

73:7. From their callous hearts comes iniquity; the evil conceits of their minds know no limits.

73:8. They scoff, and speak with malice; in their arrogance they threaten oppression.

73:9. Their mouths lay claim to heaven, and their tongues take possession of the earth.

73:10. Therefore their people turn to them and drink up waters in abundance."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Envy is an evil against humanity. If you must succeed in life, you must learn to be yourself and cautious. On no account must you dream or pray or ask people what to do to be like them. Let what you have be enough to you. In verses 3, David says that he envied or wanted to be like like the arrogant; thieves, wealthy people, etc. Subsequent verses went on to describe the works of the pride. These works of theirs alone should inform you that they are not worth following. There are lots of celebrities like that: they appear to be wealthy or able to do due to how they dress or appear on Social media/events. However, some of these people are facing different troubles from homes (spouses or children, etc.) Some have lost most of their loved ones, others sacrificed their children or whatever. Following them will lead you to bankrupty, problem, etc. What you spend in trying to emulate habits can take your life. So be careful. Be yourself and win the ultimate crown in Jesus name, Amen!!!

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God i submit myself before you. Help me to stand firm and live my life as you created me to be, and win ... in Jesus name, Amen.

2. O you wicked power from my foundation or environment that has vowed that my resources this week will be expanded on drugs or police case; by the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, i command you to be roasted by fire of God...in Jesus name, Amen.

3. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, i must be favoured this week wether the enemies like it or not...in Jesus name, Amen!

TODAY’S TOPIC: Be discovered and uplifted 

Text: Luke 13:10-16 (NIV):

"13:10. On a Sabbath Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues,

13:11. and a woman was there who had been crippled by a spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and could not straighten up at all.

13:12. When Jesus saw her, he called her forward and said to her, "Woman, you are set free from your infirmity."

13:13. Then he put his hands on her, and immediately she straightened up and praised God.

13:14. Indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, the synagogue ruler said to the people, "There are six days for work. So come and be healed on those days, not on the Sabbath."

13:15. The Lord answered him, "You hypocrites! Doesn't each of you on the Sabbath untie his ox or donkey from the stall and lead it out to give it water?

13:16 Then should not this woman, a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has kept bound for eighteen long years, be set free on the Sabbath day from what bound her?"

SHOWER (Reflection):

In verse 12 of today's reading, Jesus discovered or found a crippled woman who had been there for eighteen years. Just mark it "18 years." The woman might have been taken to many churches, babalawos, miracle centres, etc but to no avail. She was probably abandoned by her children, parents, siblings, landlords or relatives to die at a spot. However, our Lord Jesus Christ found her one day and that changed her story from sorrow to joy. That is to say that one day, just one day, one minute or a second, your story will be changed for good. Today, Jesus Christ will find you and heal your diseases in Jesus name, Amen. It does not matter how many years you have been poor, sick, lack or troubled. Once He discovers you, you will be made free. Child of God, do not be discouraged over the happenings around you. Keep on praying! Seek His face more. His will over your life shall surely be fulfilled in Jesus name, Amen.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. Today is my day, the day God Almighty has destined for me. He will bend or override every protocol for my health, family or finances to be restored ... in Jesus name, Amen.

2. O God arise, disgrace those who are struggling to disgrace me...in Jesus name, Amen.

3. O you situation of life or economy that has kept many depressed, in agony or dead, I refuse to succumb to you. You are hereby overcomed by the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, Amen!
