Daily Shower is here for propagating the Gospel of Jesus Christ

Rain down, O heavens, from above. Let the clouds pour down righteousness[all the blessings of God]. Let the earth open up, let salvation bear fruit, And righteousness spring up with it; I, the Lord, have created it (Isaiah 45:8).

Time to sanitise the Church of God …

He found the people who were selling oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers sitting at their tables. He made a whip of cords, and drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and the oxen; and He scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables; then to those who sold the doves He said, “Take these things away! Stop making My Father’s house a place of commerce! John 2: 13-16

Come back to God

DAILY SHOWER July 2, 2022 Devotion and Declarations

Prayer before the Word:

_ O God, I honour and adore You for making me to be living among the living today. Please, open my eyes to understand and work according to Your word in Jesus name, Amen_

TODAY’S TOPIC: Come back to God

Text: Lamentations 1:13-20 (NIV):

"1:13.  Put on sackcloth, O priests, and mourn; wail, you who minister before the altar. Come, spend the night in sackcloth, you who minister before my God; for the grain offerings and drink offerings are withheld from the house of your God.

1:14.  Declare a holy fast; call a sacred assembly. Summon the elders and all who live in the land to the house of the LORD your God, and cry out to the LORD.

1:15.  Alas for that day! For the day of the LORD is near; it will come like destruction from the Almighty.

1:16.  Has not the food been cut off before our very eyes--joy and gladness from the house of our God?

1:17.  The seeds are shriveled beneath the clods. The storehouses are in ruins, the granaries have been broken down, for the grain has dried up.

1:18.  How the cattle moan! The herds mill about because they have no pasture; even the flocks of sheep are suffering.

1:19.  To you, O LORD, I call, for fire has devoured the open pastures and flames have burned up all the trees of the field.

1:20.  Even the wild animals pant for you; the streams of water have dried up and fire has devoured the open pastures."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Good day. We trust you started the new month well with Lord. Good. Our God is seeking for our total repentance and submission to Him this month. This month may become a trying month to many. Different countries are in wars, same with families and organisations. Those who believed they are strong, the believers and all that, must come together to seek the face of God for a divine turnaround. Don't hesitate to do this. And you will see God's favour and upliftment upon you in Jesus name, Amen.

*PRAYER/DECLARATIONS*

O God I thank You for the gift of life and new words of encouragement. Help me to live up to Your kingdom in Jesus name, Amen. We will continue with our yesterday's declaration.

*1. I will celebrate in this month of July. No weapon fashioned against me by my enemies will ever prosper in Jesus name, Amen.

*2. God will cause even my enemies to stand up to honour and celebrate me. I will be a light to the nation in Jesus name, Amen.

*3. I hereby decree and declare God's favour, direction and goodness upon me in this month of July in Jesus name, Amen.

The present from a supposed enemy

DAILY SHOWER July 1, 2022 Devotion and Declarations

Prayer before the Word:

_ O God, I thank You for a new month. Please, help me to grow and prosper beyond the human reach this month in Jesus name, Amen_

TODAY’S TOPIC: The present from the supposed enemy

Text: Jeremiah 40:1-6 (NIV):

"40:1.  The word came to Jeremiah from the LORD after Nebuzaradan commander of the imperial guard had released him at Ramah. He had found Jeremiah bound in chains among all the captives from Jerusalem and Judah who were being carried into exile to Babylon.

40:2. When the commander of the guard found Jeremiah, he said to him, "The LORD your God decreed this disaster for this place.

40:3. And now the LORD has brought it about; he has done just as he said he would. All this happened because you people sinned against the LORD and did not obey him.

40:4. But today I am freeing you from the chains on your wrists. Come with me to Babylon, if you like, and I will look after you; but if you do not want to, then don't come. Look, the whole country lies before you; go wherever you please."

40:5. However, before Jeremiah turned to go, Nebuzaradan added, "Go back to Gedaliah son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon has appointed over the towns of Judah, and live with him among the people, or go anywhere else you please." Then the commander gave him provisions and a present and let him go.

40:6. So Jeremiah went to Gedaliah son of Ahikam at Mizpah and stayed with him among the people who were left behind in the land."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Welcome to a new month, dearest. We are happy and must appreciate our God for making it possible for us to crossover to this month of July...the month of decision. This is seven month of the year. I trust you are living up to your dream. Brethren, our today's scripture is also telling us that a day has come when our enemies will set us free with presents. If you're in captives before now, cheer up. God will set you free this month. And He will make your supposed enemies to return all they owe you with additions in Jesus name, Amen.

*PRAYER/DECLARATIONS*

O God I thank You for the gift of life and new words of encouragement. Help me to live up to Your kingdom in Jesus name, Amen.

*1. I will celebrate in this month of July. No weapon fashioned against me by my enemies will ever prosper in Jesus name, Amen.

God will never forget

DAILY SHOWER June 30, 2022 Devotion and Declarations

Prayer before the Word:

_ O God, I thank You for enabling me to see the last day of the month of June. I pray for Your wisdom and empowerment to witness more good things as July begins tomorrow in Jesus name, Amen_

TODAY’S TOPIC: The God will never forget

Text: 2 Samuel 3:12-21 (NIV):

"3:12.  Then Abner sent messengers on his behalf to say to David, "Whose land is it? Make an agreement with me, and I will help you bring all Israel over to you."

3:13. "Good," said David. "I will make an agreement with you. But I demand one thing of you: Do not come into my presence unless you bring Michal daughter of Saul when you come to see me."

3:14. Then David sent messengers to Ish-Bosheth son of Saul, demanding, "Give me my wife Michal, whom I betrothed to myself for the price of a hundred Philistine foreskins."

3:15.  So Ish-Bosheth gave orders and had her taken away from her husband Paltiel son of Laish.

3:16. Her husband, however, went with her, weeping behind her all the way to Bahurim. Then Abner said to him, "Go back home!" So he went back.

3:17.  Abner conferred with the elders of Israel and said, "For some time you have wanted to make David your king.

3:18.  Now do it! For the LORD promised David, 'By my servant David I will rescue my people Israel from the hand of the Philistines and from the hand of all their enemies.'"

3:19.  Abner also spoke to the Benjamites in person. Then he went to Hebron to tell David everything that Israel and the whole house of Benjamin wanted to do.

3:20. When Abner, who had twenty men with him, came to David at Hebron, David prepared a feast for him and his men.

3:21. Then Abner said to David, "Let me go at once and assemble all Israel for my lord the king, so that they may make a compact with you, and that you may rule over all that your heart desires." So David sent Abner away, and he went in peace."

SHOWER (Reflection):

God will never forget to bless you even when the world have forgotten you. Be patient and hold on to Him. The day is coming when He will remember you using even your supposed enemies. Abner was previously on the side of Saul's house. But when God remembers the need for His anointed son, David to start reigning over the Israel, Abner had to break away from Saul's house over a misunderstanding. This resulted to restoration of David kingship. That is to tell us that God has and will never forget His promises unto us. He did same to Joseph, Joab and others... Wait for Him with praises, thanksgiving and righteousness. He will surely remember you through any means.

*PRAYER/DECLARATIONS*

Father, help me to stand strong in my faith in Jesus name, Amen.

*1. The month of June must not end today without gifting me the full packages of blessings God destined that it must give me. I hereby command June to release them and leave for July to come in Jesus name, Amen.

*2. God will cause even my enemies to stand up to honour and celebrate me. All His promises unto me are coming to pass before I know it in Jesus name, Amen.

*3. I hereby decree and declare God's favour, direction and goodness upon me as I crossover to the month of July in Jesus name, Amen.

The downfall of an anointed

DAILY SHOWER June 29, 2022 Devotion and Declarations

Prayer before the Word:

_ O God, guide me to study Your word and apply the lessons accordingly in Jesus name, Amen_

TODAY’S TOPIC: The downfall of an anointed

Text: Romans 1: 21- 30 (NIV):

"1:21.  For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened.

1:22.  Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools

1:23.  and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.

1:24.  Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another.

1:25.  They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator--who is forever praised. Amen.

1:26.  Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones.

1:27.  In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.

1:28.  Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done.1:29.  They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips,1:30.  slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents;"

SHOWER (Reflection):

When God anoints a man, He uplifts him above his enemies. King Saul was a perfect example of what God can do with His anointed, and how He can equally bring them down. Today's scripture says although they know God, they chose not to glorify Him. The effect of abandoning Him to another God is shameful death. Look at what God has detected they were doing and assured them evil end. Retrace your footsteps before it is too late. You are God's anointed...so do only that He sanctions.

*PRAYER/DECLARATIONS*

Father, help me to stand strong in my faith in Jesus name, Amen.

*1. I know that am God anointed. I cannot leave Him to serve other God. Whatever in me or around me that dares to push me off the track, must backfire in Jesus name, Amen.

*2. God has remembered me for good. My destiny helpers must locate and bless me today in Jesus name, Amen.

*3. I hereby decree and declare God's favour, direction and goodness upon me in Jesus name, Amen.

God never disappoint

DAILY SHOWER June 28, 2022 Devotion and Declarations

Prayer before the Word:

_ O God, unto You I commit myself. Please, guide, strengthen and uplift my faith as I study Your word today in Jesus name, Amen_

TODAY’S TOPIC: God never disappoint

Text: Luke 11: 1-10 (NIV):

11:1. One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to him, "Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples."

11:2.  He said to them, "When you pray, say: "'Father, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come.

11:3.  Give us each day our daily bread.

11:4.  Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against us. And lead us not into temptation.'"

11:5.  Then he said to them, "Suppose one of you has a friend, and he goes to him at midnight and says, 'Friend, lend me three loaves of bread,

11:6. because a friend of mine on a journey has come to me, and I have nothing to set before him.'

11:7. "Then the one inside answers, 'Don't bother me. The door is already locked, and my children are with me in bed. I can't get up and give you anything.'

11:8. I tell you, though he will not get up and give him the bread because he is his friend, yet because of the man's boldness he will get up and give him as much as he needs.

11:9. "So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

11:10. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened."

SHOWER (Reflection):

There are many things to be learnt from our today's scripture. One is that our Lord never disappoints. When the friends of the world disappoint you, keep pushing, keep asking, with supplications and thanksgiving, God will surely answer you. Again, we must seek for spirit of Perseverance and consistency. It pays to convert your hope into faith. Thirdly, you must imbibe the spirit of forgiveness. Don't ask God for anything if you don't forgive people as He forgives you always. Kindly reflect to this. God will surely help us arrive.

*PRAYER/DECLARATIONS*

Father, help me to stand strong in my faith in Jesus name, Amen.

*1. I'm healed and saved from atrocities and pains of the world because the God has risen to give me a shade.

*2. Today is my day of elevation. I will keep soaring higher in life in my business, school, family and others in Jesus name, Amen.

*3. I hereby decree and declare every unforgiven spirit, I don't care attitude and other evil seed depriving me progress and love of God to vanish out in Jesus name, Amen.

The Righteous shall live by faith

DAILY SHOWER June 27, 2022 Devotion and Declarations

Prayer before the Word:

_ O God, I trust in You. And pray for Your guidance and wisdom today in Jesus name, Amen_

TODAY’S TOPIC: The Righteous shall live by faith

Text: Romans 1: 8-17 (NIV):

"1.8.  First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is being reported all over the world.

1:9.  God, whom I serve with my whole heart in preaching the gospel of his Son, is my witness how constantly I remember you

1:10.  in my prayers at all times; and I pray that now at last by God's will the way may be opened for me to come to you.

1:11.  I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong--

1:12.  that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other's faith.1:13.  I do not want you to be unaware, brothers, that I planned many times to come to you (but have been prevented from doing so until now) in order that I might have a harvest among you, just as I have had among the other Gentiles.

1:14.  I am obligated both to Greeks and non-Greeks, both to the wise and the foolish.

1:15.  That is why I am so eager to preach the gospel also to you who are at Rome.1:16.  I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.

1:17. For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: "The righteous will live by faith."

SHOWER (Reflection):

The righteous shall live by faith because they cast their hope, believe and all they have in Christ Jesus. However, the sinners chose to doing what will benefit or uplift them immediately. That is why they engage on all manner of things to succeed. A righteous man tries to do the will of God. By doing this, they are reunited with Jesus.

*PRAYER/DECLARATIONS*

O God, I pray You to make way for me where there seemed to be no way. Empower me to follow Your footsteps in Jesus name, Amen.

*1. I'm servant of the most High God. I shall not lag behind because am faithful child.

*2. The crown of glory is upon me. In the name of Jesus, I will remain the head and not the tail, Amen.

*3. I hereby decree and declare open doors and promotions to me this week in Jesus name, Amen.

Never rejoice over the fall of your enemy

DAILY SHOWER June 26, 2022 Devotion and Declarations

Prayer before the Word:

_ O God, unto You I submit my soul. Help me to know You more in Jesus name, Amen_

TODAY’S TOPIC: Never rejoice over the fall of your enemy

Text: 1 Samuel 11-16 (NIV):

"1:11.  Then David and all the men with him took hold of their clothes and tore them.

1:12.  They mourned and wept and fasted till evening for Saul and his son Jonathan, and for the army of the LORD and the house of Israel, because they had fallen by the sword.

1:13.  David said to the young man who brought him the report, "Where are you from?" "I am the son of an alien, an Amalekite," he answered.

1:14.  David asked him, "Why were you not afraid to lift your hand to destroy the LORD'S anointed?"

1:15.  Then David called one of his men and said, "Go, strike him down!" So he struck him down, and he died.

1:16.  For David had said to him, "Your blood be on your own head. Your own mouth testified against you when you said, 'I killed the LORD'S anointed.'"

SHOWER (Reflection):

When someone makes self an enemy, don't try to retaliate. Because if you do, you may overdo it or go below average. But if you allow God to take charge, He will pay the person accordingly. God can also decide not to pay the person evil to evil, and through that glorify His name. He is the author and finisher of our faith. David promised not to lay hands on the God's anointed (King Saul) even when Saul was after his death. Even unto death, he still paid the young man who killed him back. And God used because of all these to strengthen his faith and protect him against the evil eyes. Try this today, and remain bless.

*PRAYER/DECLARATIONS*

O God, I pray to live up to my expectations, and not to lag behind in all situations, in Jesus name, Amen.

*1. My God has ordained me a king to rule my generation according to His word. I will keep soaring higher and higher in Jesus name, Amen.

*2. The crown of glory is upon me. In the name of Jesus, I will remain the head and not the tail, Amen.

*3. I hereby decree and declare that anything in me or around me that does not glorify God must die and let me move forward in Jesus name, Amen.
