Don't try to please the world

Prayer before the Word: 

 _ O God, I thank You for a new day. I pray for Your guidance and inspiration as I study Your word today in Jesus name, Amen_ 

TODAY’S TOPIC: Don't struggle to satisfy the world 

Text: Matthew 12:22-32 (NIV):

"12:22.  Then they brought him a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute, and Jesus healed him, so that he could both talk and see.

12:23.   All the people were astonished and said, "Could this be the Son of David?"

12:24.   But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, "It is only by Beelzebub, the prince of demons, that this fellow drives out demons."

12:25.   Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, "Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand.

12:26.   If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand?

12:27.   And if I drive out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your people drive them out? So then, they will be your judges.

12:28.   But if I drive out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.

12:29.   "Or again, how can anyone enter a strong man's house and carry off his possessions unless he first ties up the strong man? Then he can rob his house.12:30.   "He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me scatters.

12:31.  And so I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.

12:32.  Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come."

*SHOWER:*

A man has been sick, deaf, dumb and blind joined without help. Then, help came from Jesus who healed him. Instead of people to be happy that he was healed, they begun to attack Jesus by calling Him unprintable names. You can now understand why you shouldn't try to please anyone. There is nothing you do that will make them happy. Follow Jesus and obey His instructions; not those of other people. 

*PRAYER/DECLARATIONS*

God, I thank You for speaking to me today. Help me to internalise and put them to action in Jesus name, Amen.

*1. O God, I will forever follow Your instructions not those of men. I hereby receive the power and strength to abide by them in Jesus name, Amen. 

*2. I am an overcomer. I have overcame the evil forces that want me to obey them alone in Jesus name, Amen.

*3. I hereby decree and declare that today is my day of supernatural favour and grace In Jesus name, Amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: Dry bones shall rise again 

Text: Ezekiel 37: 1-10 (NIV):

"37:1.  The hand of the LORD was upon me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the LORD and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones.

37:2.  He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry.

37:3.  He asked me, "Son of man, can these bones live?" I said, "O Sovereign LORD, you alone know."

37:4.   Then he said to me, "Prophesy to these bones and say to them, 'Dry bones, hear the word of the LORD!

37:5.   This is what the Sovereign LORD says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life.

37:6.   I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the LORD.'"

37:7.   So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone.

37:8.  I looked, and tendons and flesh appeared on them and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them.

37:9.  Then he said to me, "Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to it, 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe into these slain, that they may live.'"

37:10.   So I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet--a vast army."

*SHOWER:*

We call Him, the God of impossibilities. Our God is fit and able to do all things He wants. When you think that all hope is lost, just calm, kneel and talk to Him. There is nothing our God cannot do. If He can only used His son to command dry bones to meet together and regain life, what is that Your problem that He wouldn't solve? There is absolutely nothing. Is it your business that is running down? Or family challenges? All will be taken care by Jesus once you believe.

*PRAYER/DECLARATIONS*

God, I thank You for speaking to me today. Help me to internalise and put them to action in Jesus name, Amen.

*1. O merciful father, speak to me and I will be alive again in Jesus name, Amen. 

*2. As God lives, all that concerns must change for better. There is nowhere I will continue to live in self denial, in Jesus name, Amen.

*3. I hereby decree and declare that I will continue to grow from glory to greater glory because God has sent His Holy Spirit upon me. In Jesus name, Amen.

God of impartiality

 _ O God, I thank you for gift of life. I pray You to open my eyes to learn new things and abide by Your word in Jesus name, Amen_ 

TODAY’S TOPIC: God of impartiality 

Text: Matthew 9: 9-13  (NIV):

"9:9   As Jesus went on from there, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax collector's booth. "Follow me," he told him, and Matthew got up and followed him.

9:10   While Jesus was having dinner at Matthew's house, many tax collectors and "sinners" came and ate with him and his disciples.

9:11   When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, "Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and 'sinners'?"

9:12   On hearing this, Jesus said, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.

9:13   But go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice.' For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners."

*SHOWER:*

God is unique. Our today's scripture shows that He does not segregate. Unlike the priests and people of the world, God sees all as equal. If He decides to visit you today to solve your problems, He would comfortably do that in a jiffy without minding your social status, background, qualifications and so on. Again, He came so that the sick, sinners and all that could be saved. So, be free to reach Him now to be set free from all your woes and troubles. 

*PRAYER/DECLARATIONS*

God, I thank You for enriching my spiritual mind. I pray for Your mercy and inspiration to implement them in Jesus name, Amen.

*1. God has come to set me free. I must be free from all my troubles, issues and sicknesses in Jesus name, Amen. 

*2. I hereby receive the power from above, the grace and anointing that will help me not to discriminate against my neighbors and friends in Jesus name, amen.

*3. I hereby decree and declare that I will continue to grow from glory to greater glory because God has sent His Holy Spirit upon me. In Jesus name, Amen.

Arise, shine for Christ is in you

TODAY’S TOPIC: Arise, shine for Christ is in you

Text: Romans 8:1-10 (NIV):

"8:1  Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,

8:2  because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death.

8:3  For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the sinful nature, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in sinful man,

8:4  in order that the righteous requirements of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the sinful nature but according to the Spirit.

8:5  Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.

8:6  The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace;

8:7  the sinful mind is hostile to God. It does not submit to God's law, nor can it do so.

8:8  Those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God.

8:9  You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ.

8:10  But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness."

*SHOWER:*

When Christ is in you, you will be dead to sin. To be dead to sin does not mean physical death. But it is spiritual and physical. It rather means that sin will no longer control you. You will be the one controlling all things. Once Christ is in you, you will surely rise and shine. Whoever is in Christ behaves like Christ; lives Holy life, gives to the poor, etc. Kindly re-examine yourself and embrace Christ.

*PRAYER/DECLARATIONS*

God, I thank You for feeding my spiritual mind. I am optimistic that they will bear fruits in me in Jesus name, Amen.

*1. The Christ Jesus in me is bigger than all the gods of men and things. Therefore, I will keep rising above all in Jesus name, Amen. 

*2. As Jesus overcame death on the calvary, I hereby overcome all problems and challenges of life in Jesus name, Amen.

*3. I hereby decree and declare that I must be celebrated today in Jesus name, Amen.
