Prayer before the Word:

TODAY’S TOPIC: Humility of Christ

Text: Hebrew 2:10-18 (NIV):

"2:10. In bringing many sons to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the author of their salvation perfect through suffering.

2:11. Both the one who makes men holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers.

2:12. He says, "I will declare your name to my brothers; in the presence of the congregation I will sing your praises."

2:13. And again, "I will put my trust in him." And again he says, "Here am I, and the children God has given me."

2:14. Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might destroy him who holds the power of death--that is, the devil--

2:15. and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death.

2:16. For surely it is not angels he helps, but Abraham's descendants.

2:17. For this reason he had to be made like his brothers in every way, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people.

2:18. Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.

SHOWER (Reflection):

Indeed, Christ is humility personifies. Because His love and assignment was to deliver people and reconcile them with God, He  accepted to be born in human fresh. He submitted himself to be treated , maltreated, suffer and punished like a human.  With this, He was able to free us from slavery and still intercedes for us to date. This is a wake up call on us to know Him more and emulate His good works. Humility is a great virtue He bequeathed on us. Whoever wants to make it in life must be humble, humane and reasonable. 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O my God, I thank You for keeping hale and hearty to witness this weekend. Please, pieces me, mould me and remould me to live a perfect life as You had wanted ... In Jesus name, Amen.

2. O God arise, release my hanging testimonies before the end of today...in Jesus name, Amen.

3. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I reject every wicked utterances, curses and permutations targeted against me...in Jesus name, Amen.

4. Whether the enemies like it or not, my life will never be cut short. My family life will never be caught off because we are for signs and wonders...in Jesus name, Amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: Justice is saving grace 

Text: Jeremiah 21:9-14 (NIV):

21:9. Whoever stays in this city will die by the sword, famine or plague. But whoever goes out and surrenders to the Babylonians who are besieging you will live; he will escape with his life.

21:10. I have determined to do this city harm and not good, declares the LORD. It will be given into the hands of the king of Babylon, and he will destroy it with fire.'

21:11. "Moreover, say to the royal house of Judah, 'Hear the word of the LORD;

21:12. O house of David, this is what the LORD says: "'Administer justice every morning; rescue from the hand of his oppressor the one who has been robbed, or my wrath will break out and burn like fire because of the evil you have done--burn with no one to quench it.

21:13. I am against you, Jerusalem,you who live above this valley on the rocky plateau, declares the LORD--you who say, "Who can come against us? Who can enter our refuge?"

21:14. I will punish you as your deeds deserve, declares the LORD. I will kindle a fire in your forests that will consume everything around you.'"

SHOWER (Reflection):

An adage says he who goes to equity should go with clean hands. This is because you can't give out what you don't have. In today's, teaching, God requested for a simple thing from us- justice. He observed that we have all fallen short of His glory. But because He is ever peaceful, lovely and merciful, He is still demanding for us to be just. In other words, He is asking for is to repent, treat others kindly, respect Him and do things rightly. He swore to handover the Israelites to their enemies (Babylonians) as a sign of punishment. Did they listen? Do we listen? This is a modern trend in our and. You will see someone who knows that he is facing percussion of what himself or parents did yet he will insist in remaining at the same place. A very big error! You cannot live wild life and expect just treatment. Remember that an iron is said to sharpen iron. See justice, speak justice, be just and get justice from God.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God of just, I have come before you this morning, treat me justly as I have treated others... In Jesus name, Amen.

2. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, let the ground open and swallow all those who have vowed to put me to shame...in Jesus name, Amen.

3. I am a child of God. I cannot be shaking by the current economic and political realities in my country. O God arise and make way for me where there seemed to be no way...in Jesus name, Amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: Flee from evil messages 

Text: Hebrew 2:1-10: (NIV):

2:2. We must pay more careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away.

2:2. For if the message spoken by angels was binding, and every violation and disobedience received its just punishment,

2:3. how shall we escape if we ignore such a great salvation? This salvation, which was first announced by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard him.

2:4. God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will.

2:5. It is not to angels that he has subjected the world to come, about which we are speaking.

2:6. But there is a place where someone has testified: "What is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him?

2:7. You made him a little lower than the angels; you crowned him with glory and honor

2:8 and put everything under his feet." In putting everything under him, God left nothing that is not subject to him. Yet at present we do not see everything subject to him.

2:9. But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.

2:10. In bringing many sons to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the author of their salvation perfect through suffering

SHOWER (Reflection):

Any message you can hear that does not glorify God, should be discarded. Don't allow your ears put you into the trouble you may never recover from before death. They may come to you with gifts and flowing words. Don't mind them. Study the word of God to show yourself approve ...that is only way you will know when they are in for their trouble abd escape. 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, my father, open my eyes and ears to behold, comprehend abd follow your word only ...  Jesus name, Amen.

2. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I fire back to the enemies every every evil arrow they fired against me...in Jesus name, Amen.

3. I am in Christ, therefore, i cannot be stopped from marching to my promised land this month of March...in Jesus name, Amen.

Judge not

TODAY’S TOPIC: Judge not

Text: John 8: (NIV):

8:2. At dawn he appeared again in the temple courts, where all the people gathered around him, and he sat down to teach them.

8:3. The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group

8:4. and said to Jesus, "Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery.

8:5. In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?

8:6. They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him. But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger.

8:7. When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, "If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her."

8:8. Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground.

8:9. At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there.

8:10. Jesus straightened up and asked her, "Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?

8:11. "No one, sir," she said. "Then neither do I condemn you," Jesus declared. "Go now and leave your life of sin.

SHOWER (Reflection):

In today's message, we learnt why we should not make ourselves judge unto others. Search your heart, cleanse and be free from all atrocities. Don't just choose those to forgive, what to do or not do  Always strive to what is right, speak truth and remains truthful. Your truth will always set you free. Jesus Christ applied wisdom and used it to declare the woman free. 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, I seek You with all my heart, soul and spirit. Forgive me and empower me to stand firm...  Jesus name, Amen.

2. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I declare myself free from all forms of limitations and intimidations...in Jesus name, Amen.

3. I am in Christ, who has given me power and dominion over other creatures. Therefore, I am recovering back my favour, financial breakthrough and others ...in Jesus name, Amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: Downfall of the self righteous   

Text: Psalm 94:1-10 (NIV):

94:1 O LORD, the God who avenges, O God who avenges, shine forth.

94:2 Rise up, O Judge of the earth; pay back to the proud what they deserve.

94:3 How long will the wicked, O LORD, how long will the wicked be jubilant?

94:4 They pour out arrogant words; all the evildoers are full of boasting.

94:5 They crush your people, O LORD; they oppress your inheritance.

94:6 They slay the widow and the alien; they murder the fatherless.

94:7 They say, "The LORD does not see; the God of Jacob pays no heed."

94:8 Take heed, you senseless ones among the people; you fools, when will you become wise?

94:9 Does he who implanted the ear not hear? Does he who formed the eye not see?

94:10 Does he who disciplines nations not punish? Does he who teaches man lack knowledge?

SHOWER (Reflection):

Do not allow pride to make you to forget God. There is price attached to all these. You can see how the fools forget and forsake God, and what will likely befall them. Our God does not allow the pride or fools to challenge Him.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, I thank you for another great opportunity to be among the living this week. I pray for Your wisdom to remain focus in Jesus name, Amen.

2. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, this week shall favour me beyond measures...in Jesus name, Amen.

3. O God arise, visit the camp of my enemies by fire and force, and let their be records of casualties among them that will make them submit to Your authority at last ...in Jesus name, Amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: Christ has set us free  

Text: Luke 11:14-23 (NIV):

"5:1. It's for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

5:2 Mark my words! I, Paul, tell you that if you let yourselves be circumcised, Christ will be of no value to you at all.

5:3 Again I declare to every man who lets himself be circumcised that he is obligated to obey the whole law.

5:4 You who are trying to be justified by law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace.

5:5 But by faith we eagerly await through the Spirit the righteousness for which we hope.

5:6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love."

SHOWER (Reflection):

He who is set free by God, is free indeed. There is no tribulations, human power or whatever will separate him from the love of God. You have to stand firm and serve Him alone. That's what is trying to explain in the following verses that one does not need to observe one law and leave others. You must obey all the laws. However, Christ made it easier for us through death on the cross. All He wants us to do is total repentance and faith in Him. Try it and enjoy it, in Jesus name, Amen. 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, my father, because You have set me free, i am free now and forever more in Jesus name, Amen.

2. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I will live longer and enjoy better than my parents  ...in Jesus name, Amen.

3. O God arise, command the son and the moon, everything on the earth to be favourable to my spiritual, physically and financial life throughout this week...in Jesus name, Amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: Possess your belonging  

Text: Luke 11:14-23 (NIV):

"11:14. Jesus was driving out a demon that was mute. When the demon left, the man who had been mute spoke, and the crowd was amazed.

11:15. But some of them said, "By Beelzebub, the prince of demons, he is driving out demons."

11:16. Others tested him by asking for a sign from heaven.

11:17. Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them: "Any kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and a house divided against itself will fall.

11:18. If Satan is divided against himself, how can his kingdom stand? I say this because you claim that I drive out demons by Beelzebub.

11:19. Now if I drive out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your followers drive them out? So then, they will be your judges.

11:20. But if I drive out demons by the finger of God, then the kingdom of God has come to you.

11:21. "When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own house, his possessions are safe.

11:22. But when someone stronger attacks and overpowers him, he takes away the armor in which the man trusted and divides up the spoils.

11:23. "He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me, scatters.

SHOWER (Reflection):

A whole lots of lessons are imbedded in today's teaching. But our focus is mostly on 21 and 22. Our God in the book of psalm 91, reiterated that He has given us power to kill, destroy or safeguard. In verses 21 and 22 of today's reflection, Jesus reminded us what will happen to a person who fails to safeguard their house. An enemy, intruder or meddlesome interloper will come in and snatch away what the person had. This is why you must stand your ground in God. He is the only person that can help you keep your house in order. You can achieve this when you don't allow the world to control or dictate for you. When the going is good, they will call you names just to make You stop. Do not permit or grant them such access to divide or kill you. 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. Any man or woman, idolatry or spirit, running day or night to destroy me, I command you to run mad and die in your own sword...in Jesus name, Amen.

2. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I receive the power of God to move higher in life ...in Jesus name, Amen.

3. O you my destiny helper, God's power is upon you, run out of your comfort home to locate me by fire...in Jesus name, Amen.

4. O Jesus, I surrender myself to be used in your vineyard today to win more souls for Christ while setting the bounds free...in Jesus name, Amen.
