Rain down, O heavens, from above. Let the clouds pour down righteousness[all the blessings of God]. Let the earth open up, let salvation bear fruit, And righteousness spring up with it; I, the Lord, have created it (Isaiah 45:8).

Time to sanitise the Church of God …

He found the people who were selling oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers sitting at their tables. He made a whip of cords, and drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and the oxen; and He scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables; then to those who sold the doves He said, “Take these things away! Stop making My Father’s house a place of commerce! John 2: 13-16

Do not intimidate others

DAILY SHOWER September 3, 2022 Devotion and Declarations

Prayer before the Word:

_ O God, my King, my Your name be highly glorified for the gift of life. Forgive my trespasses. Please, show me Your way, and assist me to follow it to the end in Jesus name, Amen_

TODAY’S TOPIC: Do not intimidate others

Text: Deuteronomy 2:2-7 (NIV):

"2:2. Then the LORD said to me,

2:3. "You have made your way around this hill country long enough; now turn north.

2:4. Give the people these orders: 'You are about to pass through the territory of your brothers the descendants of Esau, who live in Seir. They will be afraid of you, but be very careful.

2:5. Do not provoke them to war, for I will not give you any of their land, not even enough to put your foot on. I have given Esau the hill country of Seir as his own.2:6. You are to pay them in silver for the food you eat and the water you drink.'"

2:7. The LORD your God has blessed you in all the work of your hands. He has watched over your journey through this vast desert. These forty years the LORD your God has been with you, and you have not lacked anything."

SHOWER (Reflection):

God is telling us today not to engage on unnecessary wars against our neighbours. He wants us to pass our way and allow others to pass, live and let others live. God has blessed us immeasurably. When He blessed your works of hands, bless others too. Therefore, we must be careful how we intimidate others because of what we have or uses in life. That you own a car shouldn't be why others can no longer trek comfortably without humiliation.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God I promise to live and let others live. I jump and pass every unnecessary wars of intimidation and envy in Jesus name, Amen.

2. O God, prosper the work of my hand, show me favour, elevate my talents, destiny and skill in Jesus name, Amen!.

3. This is my September to be celebrated. Any hand, leg or eye that will dare try to stop me from greatness, O God arise and strike them down in Jesus name, Amen.

Boasting with Jesus

DAILY SHOWER September 2, 2022 Devotion and Declarations

Prayer before the Word:

_ O God, my King, my Your name be highly glorified for the gift of life. Forgive my trespasses. Please, show me Your way, and assist me to follow it to the end in Jesus name, Amen_

TODAY’S TOPIC: Boasting with Jesus

Text: 2 Corinthians 10: 9-18 (NIV):

"10:9. I do not want to seem to be trying to frighten you with my letters.

10:10. For some say, "His letters are weighty and forceful, but in person he is unimpressive and his speaking amounts to nothing."

10:11. Such people should realize that what we are in our letters when we are absent, we will be in our actions when we are present.

10:12. We do not dare to classify or compare ourselves with some who commend themselves. When they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are not wise.

10:13. We, however, will not boast beyond proper limits, but will confine our boasting to the field God has assigned to us, a field that reaches even to you.

10:14. We are not going too far in our boasting, as would be the case if we had not come to you, for we did get as far as you with the gospel of Christ.

10:15. Neither do we go beyond our limits by boasting of work done by others. Our hope is that, as your faith continues to grow, our area of activity among you will greatly expand,

10:16. so that we can preach the gospel in the regions beyond you. For we do not want to boast about work already done in another man's territory.

10:17. But, "Let him who boasts boast in the Lord."

10:18. For it is not the one who commends himself who is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends."

SHOWER (Reflection):

The best place to boast is in the Lord. That is when you are boasting that you have accepted Him as your personal God abd saviour. You don't boast by judging, discriminating or fighting believers. That is what God wants us to know and be. He loves us and wants us to be committed to the same purpose and course.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God I bow before You with total submission and repentance. Do not pass me by in Jesus name, Amen.

2. I am marching forward in this month of September. I will not die. My family will not die. We will all live to glory the name of God. In Jesus name, Amen!.

3. God will not allow me to move about empty and return empty today. The works of my hands must announce me in Jesus name, Amen.

Feeding multitude with little

DAILY SHOWER September 1,  2022 Devotion and Declarations

Prayer before the Word:

_ O God, my King, my Your name be highly glorified for the gift of life. Forgive my trespasses. Please, show me Your way, and assist me to follow it to the end in Jesus name, Amen_

TODAY’S TOPIC: Feeding multitude with little

Text: John 6:5-15 (NIV):

"6:5. When Jesus looked up and saw a great crowd coming toward him, he said to Philip, "Where shall we buy bread for these people to eat?"

6:6. He asked this only to test him, for he already had in mind what he was going to do.

6:7. Philip answered him, "Eight months' wages would not buy enough bread for each one to have a bite!"

6:8. Another of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, spoke up,

6:9. "Here is a boy with five small barley loaves and two small fish, but how far will they go among so many?"

6:10. Jesus said, "Have the people sit down." There was plenty of grass in that place, and the men sat down, about five thousand of them.

6:11. Jesus then took the loaves, gave thanks, and distributed to those who were seated as much as they wanted. He did the same with the fish.

6:12. When they had all had enough to eat, he said to his disciples, "Gather the pieces that are left over. Let nothing be wasted."

6:13. So they gathered them and filled twelve baskets with the pieces of the five barley loaves left over by those who had eaten.

6:14. After the people saw the miraculous sign that Jesus did, they began to say, "Surely this is the Prophet who is to come into the world."

6:15. Jesus, knowing that they intended to come and make him king by force, withdrew again to a mountain by himself."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Welcome to the month of September 2022. Our God is wonderful. We give Him praise and worship for the opportunity. September is the ninth month and first month of the 'Ember.' We have come to the month of harvest, a time to reflect and restrategise to the end of year. Well, let us look up to our today's scripture which showed that God is still alive. There is nothing He cannot do with little or bigger thing available or unavailable. He used five loaves of bread. He can equally do same to you this month. So, you must be careful, cautious and gentle as you scout for December from today. If you faithfully allow Him access to your life, He can transform that you have to millions before the end of year.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God I thank You for a gift of life to witness a new month. All praises and adoration be unto You, in Jesus name, Amen.

2. O you, the month of September, I command you to obey the words of God concerning me. I shall not labour in vain or die this month in Jesus name, Amen!.

3. God arise and destroy whatever that wants to confront or stop me from enjoying good things You destined for me this month in Jesus name, Amen.

Spiritual boldness

DAILY SHOWER August 31,  2022 Devotion and Declarations

Prayer before the Word:

_ O God, my King, my Your name be highly glorified for the gift of life. Forgive my trespasses. Please, show me Your way, and assist me to follow it to the end in Jesus name, Amen_

TODAY’S TOPIC: Spiritual boldness

Text: Acts 4:23-31 (NIV):

"4:23. On their release, Peter and John went back to their own people and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said to them.

4:24. When they heard this, they raised their voices together in prayer to God. "Sovereign Lord," they said, "you made the heaven and the earth and the sea, and everything in them.

4:25. You spoke by the Holy Spirit through the mouth of your servant, our father David: "'Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain?

4:26. The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together against the Lord and against his Anointed One.'

4:27. Indeed Herod and Pontius Pilate met together with the Gentiles and the people of Israel in this city to conspire against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed.

4:28. They did what your power and will had decided beforehand should happen.4:29. Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness.

4:30. Stretch out your hand to heal and perform miraculous signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus."

4:31. After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Spiritual boldness came upon the apostles after they requested for them. This was inspired by the experience of Peter and John. When the world was persecuting them for the gospel, they called for Christ intervention. Spiritual boldness gives ability to preach without fear or favour. It grants instant healing, oneness and purity, among others. Seek it now and excel in Jesus name, Amen.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, give me experience that will empower me to surrender totally to You in Jesus name, Amen.

2. You bad news planted against me this year, I command You to expire with the month of August. I must possess my possessions in Jesus name I pray, Amen!.

3. I am not bothered over the seemly prosperity of the enemy this year. I overcome them and march forward in Jesus name, Amen.

Go on, take over

DAILY SHOWER August 29,  2022 Devotion and Declarations

Prayer before the Word:

_ O God, my King, my Your name be highly glorified for the gift of life. Forgive my trespasses. Please, show me Your way, and assist me to follow it to the end in Jesus name, Amen_

TODAY’S TOPIC: Go on, take over

Text: Deuteronomy 1:1-8 (NIV):

"1:1. These are the words Moses spoke to all Israel in the desert east of the Jordan--that is, in the Arabah--opposite Suph, between Paran and Tophel, Laban, Hazeroth and Dizahab.

1:2. (It takes eleven days to go from Horeb to Kadesh Barnea by the Mount Seir road).

1:3. In the fortieth year, on the first day of the eleventh month, Moses proclaimed to the Israelites all that the LORD had commanded him concerning them.

1:4. This was after he had defeated Sihon king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon, and at Edrei had defeated Og king of Bashan, who reigned in Ashtaroth.1:5. East of the Jordan in the territory of Moab, Moses began to expound this law, saying:

1:6. The LORD our God said to us at Horeb, "You have stayed long enough at this mountain.

1:7. Break camp and advance into the hill country of the Amorites; go to all the neighboring peoples in the Arabah, in the mountains, in the western foothills, in the Negev and along the coast, to the land of the Canaanites and to Lebanon, as far as the great river, the Euphrates.

1:8. See, I have given you this land. Go in and take possession of the land that the LORD swore he would give to your fathers--to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob--and to their descendants after them."

SHOWER (Reflection):

We are almost at the end of month of August. Go on and take over. Today's scripture is telling us that we will not end with the month of August. Buy we will overcome the month. We will takeover our possessions. You can see how the God has started working out ways for you.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. God has already destined me for success this month and beyond. All I have not gotten this month must surely come before 31 in Jesus name, Amen.

2. I move on to capture and conquer now and beyond and forever in Jesus name, Amen.

3. The month of September, listen to me; you must be obidient to me and all that God has destined for me in Jesus name, Amen.

Life giving God

DAILY SHOWER August 28, 2022 Devotion and Declarations

Prayer before the Word:

_ O God, my King, my Your name be highly glorified for the gift of life. Forgive my trespasses. Please, show me Your way, and assist me to follow it to the end in Jesus name, Amen_

TODAY’S TOPIC: Life giving God

Text: Amos 5:1- 10 (NIV):

"5:1. Hear this word, O house of Israel, this lament I take up concerning you:

5:2. "Fallen is Virgin Israel, never to rise again, deserted in her own land, with no one to lift her up."

5:3. This is what the Sovereign LORD says: "The city that marches out a thousand strong for Israel will have only a hundred left; the town that marches out a hundred strong will have only ten left."

5:4. This is what the LORD says to the house of Israel: "Seek me and live;

5:5. do not seek Bethel, do not go to Gilgal, do not journey to Beersheba. For Gilgal will surely go into exile, and Bethel will be reduced to nothing."

5:6. Seek the LORD and live, or he will sweep through the house of Joseph like a fire; it will devour, and Bethel will have no one to quench it.

5:7. You who turn justice into bitterness and cast righteousness to the ground

5:8. (he who made the Pleiades and Orion, who turns blackness into dawn and darkens day into night, who calls for the waters of the sea and pours them out over the face of the land--the LORD is his name--

5:9. he flashes destruction on the stronghold and brings the fortified city to ruin),

5:10. you hate the one who reproves in court and despise him who tells the truth."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Life is a good thing. We all love to have it. But it is only Jesus Christ who can make it possible. We thank God for gift of life to grace to today. Hence, we have no other justification or reason not to serve Him alone. He brings justice to those desiring it. Do not deny those around you justice because God will likely pay you back angrily.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, I crave unto You to become righteous and able to serve You best in Jesus name, Amen.

2. O God do not allow me to be deceived my friends into causing commotions at home or anywhere in Jesus name, Amen.

3. As I worship God today, all my problems and troubles must expire. I will rejoice in Jesus name, Amen.
