TODAY’S TOPIC: Obedience not sacrifice 

Text: Jeremiah 7:21-29 (NIV):

"7:21. This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: Go ahead, add your burnt offerings to your other sacrifices and eat the meat yourselves!

7:22. For when I brought your forefathers out of Egypt and spoke to them, I did not just give them commands about burnt offerings and sacrifices,

7:23. but I gave them this command: Obey me, and I will be your God and you will be my people. Walk in all the ways I command you, that it may go well with you.

7:24. But they did not listen or pay attention; instead, they followed the stubborn inclinations of their evil hearts. They went backward and not forward.

7:25. From the time your forefathers left Egypt until now, day after day, again and again I sent you my servants the prophets.

7:26. But they did not listen to me or pay attention. They were stiff-necked and did more evil than their forefathers.'

7:27. "When you tell them all this, they will not listen to you; when you call to them, they will not answer.

7:28. Therefore say to them, 'This is the nation that has not obeyed the LORD its God or responded to correction. Truth has perished; it has vanished from their lips.

7:29. Cut off your hair and throw it away; take up a lament on the barren heights, for the LORD has rejected and abandoned this generation that is under his wrath.

SHOWER (Reflection):

In the book of 1 Samuel 15:22, God told King Saul that obedience is better than sacrifice. That was how the king lost the glory of God. If you read the whole of chapters 14 and 15 you will find out that his sin is what we take for granted. He was commanded to kill and destroy the enemy but he decided to spare the 'best' parts of the 'loots for sacrifice to God.' God told him that obeying instructions is better than anything else. This same thing applies to our every day lifestyles. In today's reading, God is telling us the same thing. From verse 21 of Jeremiah 7, you will see where God is telling us to gather our meat, food, money and others we prepared for sacrifices to eat alone because He doesn't need them! What can you give to bribe the creators of all things on earth and heaven!!! In verse 23, He reiterated that He only wants us to obey and serve Him alone. So it doesn't matter what you are doing in the church. It is not about how you appeared holy in your dressings, talks, pray , visitations to the motherless babies homes, etc...you must be submissive and obedience to God. Take heed and see how prosperous you will become!

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, my father, build in me a spiritual fence and security to safeguard Your word, live it and remain blessed ...in Jesus name, Amen.

2. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I will live above my parents and surpass the limitations of my current environment... In Jesus name, Amen.

3. As the week winds up today, O God arise and wipe off the enemies of my progress...in Jesus name, Amen.

4. O God arise and dethrone everyone sitting on what rightly belongs to me...in Jesus name, Amen.

5. As we step into the next week by tomorrow, Father remember me for greatness, O God!!! (5 times) in Jesus name, Amen.

Always be generous

TODAY’S TOPIC: Always be generous

Text: 2 Corinthians 8:1-9 (NIV):

"8:1. And now, brothers, we want you to know about the grace that God has given the Macedonian churches.

8:2. Out of the most severe trial, their overflowing joy and their extreme poverty welled up in rich generosity.

8:3. For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability. Entirely on their own,

8:4. they urgently pleaded with us for the privilege of sharing in this service to the saints.

8:5. And they did not do as we expected, but they gave themselves first to the Lord and then to us in keeping with God's will.

8:6. So we urged Titus, since he had earlier made a beginning, to bring also to completion this act of grace on your part.

8:7. But just as you excel in everything--in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in your love for us--see that you also excel in this grace of giving.

8:8. I am not commanding you, but I want to test the sincerity of your love by comparing it with the earnestness of others.

8:9. For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Today's teaching is encouraging us to excel in giving too. We can give out our time to provide services to society or works of God. We can equally offer our money, legs (walking), connections, speeches or talks, advice, etc. Don't count whatever you loose on your way while giving.  You don't give because of what you will receive in return. But you will surely be rewarded abundantly when you give out anything. A hand that gives is always on top, while the hand that receives is always down...a giver does not and will never lack.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. By the reason of Your anointing O God, I give out everything I have to You. Use me to win more souls in Jesus name, Amen.

2. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, my giving must make ways for me wether the enemies like it or not ... In Jesus name, Amen.

3. O God arise, uproot every tree You didn't plant in my life and family, and remember me for excellence ...in Jesus name, Amen.

Don't be afraid

TODAY’S TOPIC: Don't be afraid

Text: John 6:16-21 (NIV):

"6:16. When evening came, his disciples went down to the lake,

6:17. where they got into a boat and set off across the lake for Capernaum. By now it was dark, and Jesus had not yet joined them.

6:18. A strong wind was blowing and the waters grew rough.

6:19. When they had rowed three or three and a half miles, they saw Jesus approaching the boat, walking on the water; and they were terrified.

6:20. But he said to them, "It is I; don't be afraid."

6:21. Then they were willing to take him into the boat, and immediately the boat reached the shore where they were heading."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Do not be afraid of whatever situation confronting you. In this middle of week, Jesus will locate you as He located His disciples amidst the wave, in the lake when they less expected. He met them when they were almost drowned. Today's scripture reading, entails us that it is never too late for God to hear us. He knows that you are in trouble; He knows that you have not eaten; that you need this or that job. Just hold unto Him. When you think the hope has lost, He will surely meet you at an appropriate time and your yolk will be broken in Jesus name, Amen. 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, I dedicate today unto You. In this middle of week, do not pass me by in Jesus name, Amen.

2. O God, my father, locate me at point of my needs so that I will be happy again... In Jesus name, Amen.

3. By the power in the blood of Jesus, I am step out of disgrace and wicked traps of the enemy...in Jesus name, Amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: Love of God  

Text: 2 Corinthians 5:14-21 (NIV):

"5:14 For Christ's love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died.

5:15. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.

5:16. So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer.

5:17. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!

5:18. All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation:

5:19. that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.

5:20. We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God.

5:21. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Brethren, i welcome you all to February 14, 2023. This is the that date many are hoping onto to do evil or good in the name of Valentine's celebration. However, today's scripture wants us to understand the through love to celebrate. It is love of Christ. This is true love that does not count sins or offences; rather it gives us salvation and redemption. I want you to think over this as we move out now for the season greetings ...in Jesus name, Amen!

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, my father, release me to embrace Your kind love a...in Jesus name, Amen.

2. I bind and cast away, any evil man or woman that wants to make me loose Christ presence in my life... In Jesus name, Amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: Be committed 

Text: John 5:39-44 (NIV):

"5:39. You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about me,

5:40. yet you refuse to come to me to have life.

5:41. "I do not accept praise from men,

5:42. but I know you. I know that you do not have the love of God in your hearts.

5:43. I have come in my Father's name, and you do not accept me; but if someone else comes in his own name, you will accept him.

5:44. How can you believe if you accept praise from one another, yet make no effort to obtain the praise that comes from the only God?"

SHOWER (Reflection):

God is tasking us to be committed to His things- kingdom love and life. It is painful that we claim to be Christians by going to churches, seeking for miracles and so on. But whenever we have little issues- temptations or persecutions, we run to evil places. Our God does not want such lifestyles or living here and there. He is offering Himself freely again unto us yet many still prefer playing lip service. There is nothing you can gain from rituals, babalawos and paganism but attraction of condemnation unto yourself. So repent and move with God as He directs you...in Jesus name, Amen!

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, I seen You with all my heart and body today. And I promise not to relent in Your services as you task us for commitments today...in Jesus name, Amen.

2. I bind and cast away, any evil dream I had last night and evil tree standing on my way to a prosperous week... In Jesus name, Amen.

3. O you week of love, by the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I command you to shower me with love and purity... In Jesus name, Amen.

4. In this week, I shall not be confused but committed to things of God so that I will not regret it in future...in Jesus name, Amen.

Know you are always in God's presence

TODAY’S TOPIC: Know you are in God's presence always

Text: Psalm 139:7-14(NIV):

"139:7. Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?139:8. If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.

139:9. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea,

139:10. even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.

139:11. If I say, "Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,"

139:12. even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.

139:13. For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb.

139:14. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well."

SHOWER (Reflection):

It's a thing of joy for us to be reminded today that we are in the presence of God always. Our body is also His temple! He that created us in His likeness and love, has access to all we do. There is no one that can hide from Him. Is it in your house, business or where you think you can hide? From verses 7 to 8, you will see that it is impossible to hide from Him. That is why we need not fear who the world are, what the world do or try to do. Because in the presence of God, there is fullness of joy, liberty and favour. God will shield you always because you are His child. That is why bible also says we should pray without season. This also entails that you must shun and flee from all forms of evils always if you need His protection always. Joseph held unto this and was made king. What of Saul that became king even when there are others better positioned than Him. Or Saul that became apostle Paul (who probably didn't know that God was seeing all his plans against the children of God, and had to ambush him). David was in the bush enjoying his animals when God noticed his brevity and uprightness and ordered that he should be brought in and made a king... Brethren, we must hold unto God always. Don't treat him well or behave well only when you are in the church or prayer warrior. Let our yes always be yes and our no always be no whether we are in our closet or with unbelievers!!! Do it now and see how those who made themselves enemies unto you will be put into shame in Jesus name, Amen.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, wash me clean for I am sorry for all my wrongdoings. I promise to reverence You always. Empower me to stand firm...in Jesus name, Amen.

2. Because I'm always in Your presence, O God arise and set me free from satanic attacks and bondage... In Jesus name, Amen.

3. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I decree and declare open door, favour and success unto myself and my family today and throughout this week...in Jesus name, Amen.
