Prayer before the Word: 

 _ O God, my King, my Your name be highly glorified for the gift of life. Forgive my trespasses. Please, show me Your way, and assist me to follow it to the end in Jesus name, Amen_ 

TODAY’S TOPIC: Appealing the hand of God 

Text: Isaiah 5:25-30 (NIV):

"5:25. Therefore the LORD'S anger burns against his people; his hand is raised and he strikes them down. The mountains shake, and the dead bodies are like refuse in the streets. Yet for all this, his anger is not turned away, his hand is still upraised.

5:26. He lifts up a banner for the distant nations, he whistles for those at the ends of the earth. Here they come, swiftly and speedily!

5:27. Not one of them grows tired or stumbles, not one slumbers or sleeps; not a belt is loosened at the waist, not a sandal thong is broken.

5:28. Their arrows are sharp, all their bows are strung; their horses' hoofs seem like flint, their chariot wheels like a whirlwind.

5:29. Their roar is like that of the lion, they roar like young lions; they growl as they seize their prey and carry it off with no one to rescue.

5:30. In that day they will roar over it like the roaring of the sea. And if one looks at the land, he will see darkness and distress; even the light will be darkened by the clouds."

SHOWER (Reflection):

The hand of God is not short to gift us our needs. His ears are not shutdown that He wouldn't listen to our supplications. It is our sin; our sins are not allowing us to enjoy the benefits accruing from Him paradise. Therefore, we wake up. The best thing to do in this regard is to make sure His anger is averted. We can only do that individually and collectively by avoiding sins or seeking repentance now! Because once His anger is rekindled against us, it may tarry for it to be quenched, especially if the person/persons have lost the grace of second chance. Give God chance to redefine your life now!

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, the creator and giver of life, I seek for Your repentance today. Forgive and free me from sins and anger in Jesus name, Amen.

2. I plead the anger of God on any power, evil man and woman who are tormenting me and my family in Jesus name, Amen.

3. By the power in the name of Jesus Christ, I liberate myself from evil forces, want or sorrow projected on the sky against this festive season. I jump and pass them in  Jesus name, Amen!!!

TODAY’S TOPIC: Now you are in Christ: what next?

Text: 1 Thessalonians 1:2-10 (NIV):

"1:2. We always thank God for all of you, mentioning you in our prayers.

1:3. We continually remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.

1:4. For we know, brothers loved by God, that he has chosen you,

1:5. because our gospel came to you not simply with words, but also with power, with the Holy Spirit and with deep conviction. You know how we lived among you for your sake.

1:6. You became imitators of us and of the Lord; in spite of severe suffering, you welcomed the message with the joy given by the Holy Spirit.

1:7. And so you became a model to all the believers in Macedonia and Achaia.

1:8. The Lord's message rang out from you not only in Macedonia and Achaia--your faith in God has become known everywhere. Therefore we do not need to say anything about it,

1:9. for they themselves report what kind of reception you gave us. They tell how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God,

1:10. and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead--Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath."

SHOWER (Reflection):

It is thing of joy to take decision to remain in Christ or not. And the best to it all is when you withstand your decision through sustainable behaviour, prayers and fellowship with the brethren. Today's teaching want to find out how far we have gone especially now the year is coming to an end. Can brethren, church members, neighbours, friends, etc. confess that you are truly what you preach, claim or assume to be? Is your behaviour at home, market, streets and so on? Reflect on this and take a stand. Our behavior and violations to our covenant with God could be the reason we are where we are today!

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, I push myself forward to serve and exalt You alone through my behaviour, character and otherwise in Jesus name, Amen.

2. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I have overcome the evil foundation power from my father's house which had been pulling me down. In Jesus name, Amen.

3. O you month of December, I command you to open my doors of favour and let it remain open as ordered by God in Jesus name, Amen!!!

Separating the good from the bad

TODAY’S TOPIC: Separating the good from the bad 

Text: Matthew 13:47-52 (NIV):

"13:47. Once again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was let down into the lake and caught all kinds of fish.

13:48. When it was full, the fishermen pulled it up on the shore. Then they sat down and collected the good fish in baskets, but threw the bad away.

13:49. This is how it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come and separate the wicked from the righteous

13:50. and throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

13:51. "Have you understood all these things?" Jesus asked. "Yes," they replied.

13:52. He said to them, "Therefore every teacher of the law who has been instructed about the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his storeroom new treasures as well as old."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Today's message wants to remind us the need for us to separate ourself from those who are not born again. We are of unequal york with unbelievers. Bible demands separation between the light and the darkness. This could be both physical and spiritual separation. Why it is important is because it helps to prevent contamination, checkmate progress and move forward. However, it doesn't mean that you should start keeping malice or chastise. Yes! Separate with love and purity. God created heaven and Earth, separated day from the darkness, and so on. He did all to distinguish between both and create opportunity for transformation. How can you bring more souls to Christ if you still behave or live same way with same people (unbelievers) you wants to change? That is why there is need for separation. If you fail, it will affect you on the judgement day when God Himself and His angels will separate you from the kingdom. 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, my father, help me to separate. Whatever that will prevent me from heaven, please separate me from them in  Jesus name, Amen.

2. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, whoever wants me to perish with the month of November, shall die in my place in Jesus name, Amen.

3. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I shall not fail or loose what God destined for me in this month of November, in Jesus name, Amen!!!

TODAY’S TOPIC: When God will remember you

Text: Isaiah 2:1-5 (NIV):

"2:1. This is what Isaiah son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem:

2:2. In the last days the mountain of the LORD'S temple will be established as chief among the mountains; it will be raised above the hills, and all nations will stream to it.

2:3. Many peoples will come and say, "Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths." The law will go out from Zion, the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

2:4. He will judge between the nations and will settle disputes for many peoples. They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore.

2:5. Come, O house of Jacob, let us walk in the light of the LORD."

SHOWER (Reflection):

The time has come for our God to remember us. When He remembers you, He will establish Himself in you, your household and all that concerns you. All your troubles will be settled and set free. He is calling on you. Please, answer that clarion call He is making towards you. 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, my father, call again. I will answer. Establish Yourself in me and take me higher in Jesus name, Amen.

2. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, whoever wants me to perish with the month of November, shall die in my place in Jesus name, Amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: Discerning the word of God

Text: Matthew 13:13-23 (NIV):

"13:13. This is why I speak to them in parables: "Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand.

13:14. In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah: "'You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving.

13:15. For this people's heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.'

13:16. But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear.

13:17. For I tell you the truth, many prophets and righteous men longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.

13:18. "Listen then to what the parable of the sower means:

13:19. When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is the seed sown along the path.

13:20. The one who received the seed that fell on rocky places is the man who hears the word and at once receives it with joy.

13:21. But since he has no root, he lasts only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, he quickly falls away.

13:22. The one who received the seed that fell among the thorns is the man who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke it, making it unfruitful.

13:23. But the one who received the seed that fell on good soil is the man who hears the word and understands it. He produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown."

SHOWER (Reflection):

The word of God is like two edges sword. If you use either of the edges, they can wound or cure, heal and prosper people. Today's scripture passage is only telling us that in all, we must understand the word, how it works and work with it. That is the sure message. Jesus told the parable of sower to illustrate how the word of God enters or works in our life. There are those who have heard the word but could not work with it due to worries of the world (poverty, hunger, etc ), or because they are not strong in the church or house of God where they belonged. This calls for commitment, seriousness, love and purity. When you know your God, you will serve Him alone to the end. Therefore, we must marry and study the word of God for God, not for merrymaking or reading sake. 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, I desire to worship and follow you for all the rest of my life. Please, give me what wisdom and understanding to actualise this in Jesus name, Amen.

2. O God arise, attack, destroy and push away those who vowed to push me away from the Kingdom You set for me, in Jesus name, Amen.

3. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I shall not fail or loose what God destined for me in this month of November, in Jesus name, Amen!!!
