 DAILY SHOWER October 5, 2022 Devotion and Declarations

Prayer before the Word: 

 _ O God, my King, my Your name be highly glorified for the gift of life. Forgive my trespasses. Please, show me Your way, and assist me to follow it to the end in Jesus name, Amen_ 

TODAY’S TOPIC: Follow Christ Jesus

Text: 1 Timothy 6:11-19 (NIV)

"6:11: But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness.

6:12. Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

6:13. In the sight of God, who gives life to everything, and of Christ Jesus, who while testifying before Pontius Pilate made the good confession, I charge you

6:14. to keep this command without spot or blame until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ,

6:15. which God will bring about in his own time--God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords,

6:16. who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see. To him be honor and might forever. Amen.

6:17. Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.

6:18. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share.

6:19. In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Be generous and willing to give your all in all to God. It is a pity that many have taken their wealth, knowledge and acquisitions to replace God. The percussion is deadly. When you raise yourself, He will lower you. When you use your wealth to fight people or for selfish purposes, the end result is that it will likely finish when you least expected. Once it happens, you may not have a second chance to recoup those wealth again. So, be careful and serve Him with all you have. Our home is heaven, not here. Prepare yourself for the day. You neither know the day, time or hour. So, get prepared always. 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, I thank You for another great day. Forgive my sins and take me higher in Jesus Christ, Amen.

2. Because I am serving a living God, every obstacle on my way to success I smack you down. I march on you as I move on to my promised land in Jesus name, Amen.

3. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I command the powers from my father's house to give way for me to move higher in Jesus name, Amen!!!

Gratefulness

TODAY’S TOPIC: Gratefulness

Text: Luke 17:11-19 (NIV)

"17:11. Now on his way to Jerusalem, Jesus traveled along the border between Samaria and Galilee.

17:12. As he was going into a village, ten men who had leprosy met him. They stood at a distance

17:13. and called out in a loud voice, "Jesus, Master, have pity on us!"

17:14. When he saw them, he said, "Go, show yourselves to the priests." And as they went, they were cleansed.

17:15. One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice.

17:16. He threw himself at Jesus' feet and thanked him--and he was a Samaritan.

17:17. Jesus asked, "Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine?

17:18. Was no one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?"

17:19. Then he said to him, "Rise and go; your faith has made you well."

SHOWER (Reflection):

It is always good to show gratitude to God. Be grateful for the life He gave you and others. Be grateful for His provisions and others upon you. Also, when someone does something to you, find a way better to thank the person. There are more blessings attached to it than the first. You can see how the only person out of ten healed came back to thank Jesus. And He ordered more blessings upon him. That is in the spirit of he who has, more will be giving unto him. 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, I thank You for the gift of life, healing and provisions upon me. I am sorry for been ingratitude. Forgive and bless me more in Jesus Christ, Amen.

2. Today is my day for recovery and promotions. O God, recover and enable me to recover all I have lost in Jesus name, Amen.

3. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I overcome and destroy every weapon fashioned against me by the enemies today in Jesus name, Amen!!!

Are you available to use His excess power

TODAY’S TOPIC: Excess Power in His Name 

Text: Acts 20:7-12 (NIV)

"20:7. On the first day of the week we came together to break bread. Paul spoke to the people and, because he intended to leave the next day, kept on talking until midnight.

20:8. There were many lamps in the upstairs room where we were meeting.

20:9. Seated in a window was a young man named Eutychus, who was sinking into a deep sleep as Paul talked on and on. When he was sound asleep, he fell to the ground from the third story and was picked up dead.

20:10. Paul went down, threw himself on the young man and put his arms around him. "Don't be alarmed," he said. "He's alive!"

20:11. Then he went upstairs again and broke bread and ate. After talking until daylight, he left.

20:12. The people took the young man home alive and were greatly comforted."

SHOWER (Reflection):

When you do the works of God, He will use you to redeem souls. But you must be available. Paul was able to heal many using the power of God. Believe and follow His instructions completely, He will do marvelous things in Jesus name, Amen.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, an available. Use me to heal and bring more souls to Your kingdom in Jesus Christ, Amen.

2. The month of November is meant for me. I am not meant for it. God turn the month to be a blessing to me. I will not mourn but celebrate all through this month in Jesus name, Amen.

3. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I overcome every principality or power trying to stand my way to marriage or business this year in  Jesus name, Amen!!!

TODAY’S TOPIC: He in Christ is inseparable

Text: Romans 8:31-39 (NIV)

"8:31. What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?

8:32. He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all--how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?

8:33. Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies.

8:34. Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died--more than that, who was raised to life--is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.

8:35. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?

8:36. As it is written: "For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered."

8:37. No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

8:38. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers,

8:39. neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

SHOWER (Reflection):

That time of the year when prices of commodities skyrocket, is here. We are in the second to the last month of the year. Do not be perturbed over the situation at hands. Hold unto Jesus still and He will surprise you. Do not allow the ritualists, and others to deceive you because of Christmas and New year festivities which are close by. You are more than a conqueror. You will surely triumph in Jesus name, Amen.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. Because You live, O God, I cannot allow festivities or sorrows of the world to control me. I have moved on to conquer and control my now and tomorrow through Jesus Christ, Amen.

2. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I command the month of November to favour me. Everything God destined for me this month must locate me by fire in Jesus name, Amen.

3. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, any spirit from my father's or mother's house, that will arise against my life or destiny this month, must be disgraced and burn to ashes in Jesus name, Amen!!!

Who is your God

TODAY’S TOPIC: Who is your God?

Text: Acts 19:13-19 (NIV)

"19:13. Some Jews who went around driving out evil spirits tried to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who were demon-possessed. They would say, "In the name of Jesus, whom Paul preaches, I command you to come out."

19:14. Seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, were doing this.

19:15. One day the evil spirit answered them, "Jesus I know, and I know about Paul, but who are you?"

19:16. Then the man who had the evil spirit jumped on them and overpowered them all. He gave them such a beating that they ran out of the house naked and bleeding.

19:17. When this became known to the Jews and Greeks living in Ephesus, they were all seized with fear, and the name of the Lord Jesus was held in high honor.

19:18. Many of those who believed now came and openly confessed their evil deeds.

19:19. A number who had practiced sorcery brought their scrolls together and burned them publicly. When they calculated the value of the scrolls, the total came to fifty thousand drachmas."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Happy new month, brethren. We are grateful to God for allowing us to see a new day, new week and new month. November must bow to God's provisions to us in Jesus name, Amen. But we must surely walk His way this month. He has promised. And will never fail. So find Him, discover Him and serve Him alone. If you make any mistake or behave like children of Sceva, it will be very terrible on you. You should allow Him to be your God and work through you so that it shall be well with you as His gospel is multiplied. 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, have mercy on me. Do not punish me for sins committed last month. Please, turn back to my sins and empower me to march forward without sin in Jesus name, Amen.

2. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I command the month of November to favour me. Everything God destined for me this month must locate me by fire in Jesus name, Amen.

3. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, any spirit from my father's or mother's house, that will arise against my life or destiny this month, must be disgraced and burn to ashes in Jesus name, Amen!!!

TODAY’S TOPIC: One with Christ needs not fear

Text: Acts 18:9-17 (NIV)

"18:9. One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision: "Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent.

18:10. For I am with you, and no one is going to attack and harm you, because I have many people in this city."

18:11. So Paul stayed for a year and a half, teaching them the word of God.

18:12. While Gallio was proconsul of Achaia, the Jews made a united attack on Paul and brought him into court.

18:13. "This man," they charged, "is persuading the people to worship God in ways contrary to the law."

18:14. Just as Paul was about to speak, Gallio said to the Jews, "If you Jews were making a complaint about some misdemeanor or serious crime, it would be reasonable for me to listen to you.

18:15. But since it involves questions about words and names and your own law--settle the matter yourselves. I will not be a judge of such things."

18:16. So he had them ejected from the court.

18:17. Then they all turned on Sosthenes the synagogue ruler and beat him in front of the court. But Gallio showed no concern whatever.

SHOWER (Reflection):

When Paul kept doing well, God urged him to fear not that He was with him. He did as instructed unlike most of us that would have used because of persecution to keep off. What happened next, he was brought in before Gallio. God who instructed him to fear not, intervened by letting the judge to wash off his hands. Didn't he win? He won! So, what is it that you are doing for promotions of the gospel that people are attacking you? Fear not. Do not relent because He will always protect and provide for you all through. 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, I know you are the one who had brought me here. I will not relent in my works. Help me to carry-on peaceful in Jesus name, Amen.

2. Because of me, God will not allow this month to end without been befitting blessing that will change my life in Jesus name, Amen.

3. O Jesus, by Your power and love, I command the month of November to gather my blessings and shower them on me tomorrow in Jesus name, Amen!!!

TODAY’S TOPIC: Examination of Conscience

Text: Hebrew 10: 9-18 (NIV)

"10:9. Then he said, "Here I am, I have come to do your will." He sets aside the first to establish the second.

10:10. And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

10:11. Day after day every priest stands and performs his religious duties; again and again he offers the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins.

10:12. But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God.

10:13. Since that time he waits for his enemies to be made his footstool,

10:14. because by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.

10:15. The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First he says:

10:16. "This is the covenant I will make with them after that time, says the Lord. I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds."

10:17  Then he adds: "Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more."

10:18. And where these have been forgiven, there is no longer any sacrifice for sin. A Call to Persevere in Faith."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Heart is the most important organ of the body. In it is conscience, connection to our blood veins and others. It is conscience that directs all appropriately on what to do and where, how, when, why to do that, and so many other things. Many have killed theirs due to love for the world. That is why we have people who get minds to poison others, kidnap or kill people. Too bad. We need to reexamine our conscience and see if we are using it for the purpose they were created or not. We will surely give an account of how we use it at the end of the day.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God I thank You for today. I thank You for rebuilding my conscience. Forgive me for not maximally utilising it before. Help me to utilise it to Your glory in Jesus name, Amen.

2. I pray for the power in the blood of Jesus to go and bear good fruit for Christ today in Jesus name, Amen.

3. O Jesus, do not allow me to end with the month of October. I pray to participate and win in the month of November in Jesus name, Amen!!!
