TODAY’S TOPIC: Chosen for a purpose 

Text: Ephesians 1:7-14 (NIV):

"1:7. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace

1:8. that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding.

1:9. And he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ,

1:10. to be put into effect when the times will have reached their fulfillment--to bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ.

1:11. In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will,1:12. in order that we, who were the first to hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory.

1:13. And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit,

1:14. who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession--to the praise of his glory.

SHOWER (Reflection):

God chose you and I to live to see this year. It was and is for a purpose. That purpose is to know Him, worship and serve Him accordingly. If you look back, you will discover that many who were even better than us have gone. But we are still here kicking and laughing. Therefore, let us maximally utilised this year for Him alone. As stated in today's teaching, this is time to seek forgiveness, restitution an rededication. Don't wish away these three words. This is right time to do it if you must prosper this year. Also, try to increase your act of giving for at least from this month to February. 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O Jesus, I rededicate myself to You. I seek forgiveness of my sins. Kindly use me as it pleases You, in Jesus name, Amen.

2. I am a living testimony. I must testify the beauty, majesty and greatness of God to people around me, in Jesus Christ, Amen. 

3. O God of Elijah, I rise in Your power  to destroy those who are working hard to destroy me. In Jesus name, Amen!!!

TODAY’S TOPIC: New Year Survival Strategy  

Text: 1st Corinthians 4:9-13 (NIV):

"4:9. For it seems to me that God has put us apostles on display at the end of the procession, like men condemned to die in the arena. We have been made a spectacle to the whole universe, to angels as well as to men.

4:10. We are fools for Christ, but you are so wise in Christ! We are weak, but you are strong! You are honored, we are dishonored!

4:11. To this very hour we go hungry and thirsty, we are in rags, we are brutally treated, we are homeless.

4:12. We work hard with our own hands. When we are cursed, we bless; when we are persecuted, we endure it;

4:13. when we are slandered, we answer kindly. Up to this moment we have become the scum of the earth, the refuse of the world."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Brethren, I am sure you know that the year has started in earnest. One week is almost gone. As you keep celebrating, kindly activate the action button now the year is still young. The central message of Paul in this his letter to Corinthians could be described as survival strategy for 2023 or new year. It is what is expected of us, the God's children. It has come to a point we must become true apostles. As apostles, we are to become good examples to others. Like signposts, our lives must display or prove to others that Jesus lives or works wonders in us. We have to deny ourselves of worldly things by looking like fools before men. It dies not mean that you should not live in good houses or buy cars or so, if you genuinely acquired the money. Far from it. This was further explained by the next verse which talked about going hungry and thirsty for Christ. It entails  studying the word more, fasting and praying more, preaching the gospel, charity or giving, and so on. Every expectant mother gives out her meagre resources to acquire what will be needed during delivery and the child. Therefore, this is not time to barter words with people. Be friendly but wise, cautious and accommodating. Remember that a pregnant woman who goes about abusing, fighting or over tasking self for what Christ can do for her, ends up loosing the baby and/or even herself!  

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I surrender, denounce and reject totally, whatever in me or around me that wants to quench the light God rekindled in me to shine, In Jesus name, Amen.

2. Every plans of the wicked men or women, occultic world or evil foundation to pull me down or disgrace me, be nullify by the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, Amen. 

3. O God arise by Your power and mighty, restore and empower me to do exploit in  Jesus name, Amen!!!

TODAY’S TOPIC: Healing the brokenhearted 

Text: Isaiah 30:19-26 (NIV):

"30:19. O people of Zion, who live in Jerusalem, you will weep no more. How gracious he will be when you cry for help! As soon as he hears, he will answer you.

30:20. Although the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, your teachers will be hidden no more; with your own eyes you will see them.

30:21. Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, "This is the way; walk in it."

30:22. Then you will defile your idols overlaid with silver and your images covered with gold; you will throw them away like a menstrual cloth and say to them, "Away with you!"

30:23. He will also send you rain for the seed you sow in the ground, and the food that comes from the land will be rich and plentiful. In that day your cattle will graze in broad meadows.

30:24. The oxen and donkeys that work the soil will eat fodder and mash, spread out with fork and shovel.

30:25. In the day of great slaughter, when the towers fall, streams of water will flow on every high mountain and every lofty hill.

30:26. The moon will shine like the sun, and the sunlight will be seven times brighter, like the light of seven full days, when the LORD binds up the bruises of his people and heals the wounds he inflicted."

SHOWER (Reflection):

A brokenhearted is a tattered hope. We are living in a perilous time. There are disappointments here and there. Many could not meet up with their expectations last year due to one thing or another. Our country or countries are in shambles due to bad leaderships, epidemics and natures. But today's bible teaching is telling us that God has taken over our situation. Stop weeping. God has taken over. He will heal the land and prosper the soul. Only trust and remain with Him. God will never forsake you. 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O Jesus, do not forsake me this year as you go about doing good and blessing people! Heal my land and family that I may have joy abundantly in Jesus name, Amen.

2. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I will never succumb to any family or peer pressure to abandon God. I will tour with Him this year to wear a lasting crown at the end. In Jesus name, Amen.

3. O God arise by Your power and mighty, and slaughter any living or nonliving things preparing to attack my glory this year. In Jesus name, Amen!!!

TODAY’S TOPIC: 2023: My year of Total Trust in the Lord

Text: Psalm 115:1-10 (NIV):

"115:1. Not to us, O LORD, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness.

115:2. Why do the nations say, "Where is their God?"

115:3. Our God is in heaven; he does whatever pleases him.

115:4. But their idols are silver and gold, made by the hands of men.

115:5. They have mouths, but cannot speak, eyes, but they cannot see;

115:6. they have ears, but cannot hear, noses, but they cannot smell;

115:7. they have hands, but cannot feel, feet, but they cannot walk; nor can they utter a sound with their throats.

115:8. Those who make them will be like them, and so will all who trust in them.115:9O house of Israel, trust in the LORD--he is their help and shield.

115:10. O house of Aaron, trust in the LORD--he is their help and shield."

SHOWER (Reflection):

What else shall we say but thank You, Jesus! We thank God for making us to be among the living in this year-2023! His name alone will forever be glorified. Brethren, all we have to do today is singing of praises and worships! From the first verse, we are made to understand that glory belongs to Him alone. It continues with several reasons why we must praise God for today. Now, the last verse instructed us to trust only Him and in Him for better days ahead this year and beyond. Trust Him! And walk with Him this year, and you will see no pain in Jesus name, Amen. 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O Jesus, thank You for last Year 2022. I am thanking you also for making me a candidate of the year 2023. All glory be to Your name alone in Jesus name, Amen.

2. I am thanking You for making this year- a year of Total restoration and trust in You. I shall be totally trust and walk according to Your instructions in Jesus name, Amen.

3. In I trust this year. Therefore, I am unstoppable in Jesus name, Amen!!!

TODAY’S TOPIC: Follow Who knows road

Text: John 1:1-5 (NIV):

"1.1. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

1:2. He was with God in the beginning.

1:3. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.

1:4. In him was life, and that life was the light of men.

1:5. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it.

SHOWER (Reflection):

Welcome to a bright new day. All is now set to move you forward for the year. Our God has ordained and anointed your success stories every day. It is now for you to follow Him accordingly this year. In verse three, it is said that through Him all things were made. So, what we shall become, how far we shall go and so on are already known to Him. All you have to do is to pray for His directions for you to enjoy all He has for you in full.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O Jesus, Your way is the best. I have nothing to argue than to follow You. Give me the grace to succeed in Jesus name, Amen.

2. I'm in Jesus, Jesus is in me. There is nothing on earth that can stop me from achieving all He has in stock for me this year in Jesus name, Amen.

3. O God arise, level the ground for me so that I will move accordingly with You this year in Jesus name, Amen!!!
