Rain down, O heavens, from above. Let the clouds pour down righteousness[all the blessings of God]. Let the earth open up, let salvation bear fruit, And righteousness spring up with it; I, the Lord, have created it (Isaiah 45:8).

Time to sanitise the Church of God …

He found the people who were selling oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers sitting at their tables. He made a whip of cords, and drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and the oxen; and He scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables; then to those who sold the doves He said, “Take these things away! Stop making My Father’s house a place of commerce! John 2: 13-16

TODAY’S TOPIC: Christ Lives in You

Text: Galatians 2:13-21 (NIV):

2:13. The other Jews joined him in his hypocrisy, so that by their hypocrisy even Barnabas was led astray.

2:14. When I saw that they were not acting in line with the truth of the gospel, I said to Peter in front of them all, "You are a Jew, yet you live like a Gentile and not like a Jew. How is it, then, that you force Gentiles to follow Jewish customs?

2:15. "We who are Jews by birth and not 'Gentile sinners'

2:16. know that a man is not justified by observing the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by observing the law, because by observing the law no one will be justified.

2:17. "If, while we seek to be justified in Christ, it becomes evident that we ourselves are sinners, does that mean that Christ promotes sin? Absolutely not!

2:18. If I rebuild what I destroyed, I prove that I am a lawbreaker.

2:19. For through the law I died to the law so that I might live for God.

2:20. I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

2:21. I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!"

SHOWER (Reflection):

We are serving a wonder working God. Today, He is reminding us that we have been crucified with Christ. And if we believe that truly, we will no longer live by ourselves but live and depicts Christ in all aspects. One of them is to support and stand by the truth irrespective of the situation or who is spreading the rumour. On no account must you keep quiet or clap when evil is going on around you just because the promoter is your senior, pastor, brother or leader, etc.  This is one reason most African countries like Nigeria are living in abject poverty while they have mineral resources. There are corruption, discrimination and others here and there but those who supposed to speak are feigning ignorance simply because they benefits from it directly or indirectly. Just because they do not want to offend their brothers or pastors or so. They don't want them to be indicted, shamed or go to jail. We follow our leaders, politicians, including pastors sheepishly! But Apostle Paul was able to confront Peter who although was a Christ disciple on some things he wasn't doing right and offer proper corrections. We must show the light by living by faith!

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I put to death today, anything that wants to pull me out of where God has destined for me.. in Jesus name, Amen.

2. As my father, Jesus Christ died on the cross and redeemed me from sin, my faith in Him has shown me the way to eternal joy...in Jesus name, Amen.

3. O God arise, by your power and authority, elevate me to that exalted seat where none of my family members and mentors have ever sat in life ...in Jesus name, amen.

4. I command this weekend to make ways for me to shine next week...in Jesus name, Amen!

Play your part

TODAY’S TOPIC: Play your part and be saved

Text: Ezekiel 33:2-11 (NIV):

33:2. Son of man, speak to your countrymen and say to them: 'When I bring the sword against a land, and the people of the land choose one of their men and make him their watchman,

33:3. and he sees the sword coming against the land and blows the trumpet to warn the people,

33:4. then if anyone hears the trumpet but does not take warning and the sword comes and takes his life, his blood will be on his own head.

33:5. Since he heard the sound of the trumpet but did not take warning, his blood will be on his own head. If he had taken warning, he would have saved himself.

33:6. But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet to warn the people and the sword comes and takes the life of one of them, that man will be taken away because of his sin, but I will hold the watchman accountable for his blood.'

33:7. "Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me.

33:8. When I say to the wicked, 'O wicked man, you will surely die,' and you do not speak out to dissuade him from his ways, that wicked man will die for his sin, and I will hold you accountable for his blood.

33:9. But if you do warn the wicked man to turn from his ways and he does not do so, he will die for his sin, but you will have saved yourself.

33:10. "Son of man, say to the house of Israel, 'This is what you are saying: "Our offenses and sins weigh us down, and we are wasting away because of them. How then can we live?" '

33:11. Say to them, 'As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign LORD, I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that they turn from their ways and live. Turn! Turn from your evil ways! Why will you die, O house of Israel?'

SHOWER (Reflection):

The world is full of opportunities and responsibilities. God has ordained us to do so many things for promotion of His word. Today, we are been reminded of the needs to always play our parts accordingly. As a child of God, it is your responsibilities to preach the gospel, live by gospel, behave like Christ, do good things always and bring people closer to God. If you fail, you will likely be sanctioned by going to hellfire. That is the bottom message. If the listeners fail to adhere to the word, they too will fail.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God arise, waist the lives of all those struggling to waist my life... in Jesus name, Amen.

2. Jesus Christ is my God. He is in me and I am in Him. Therefore, I will go places this year and conquer all...in Jesus name, Amen.

3. O God arise, empower me to end this week with testimonies that will surprise my enemies...in Jesus name, amen.

Now you're Born-Again

DAILY SHOWER January 26, 2023 Devotion and Declarations

Prayer before the Word:

_ O God, I thank You for yet another day. I magnify Your name because You are my God and all I have. Please, use me according to Your will and prosper me in Jesus name, Amen_

TODAY’S TOPIC: Now you're Born-Again

Text: Galatians 5:15-24 (NIV):

5:15. But when God, who set me apart from birth and called me by his grace, was pleased

1:16. to reveal his Son in me so that I might preach him among the Gentiles, I did not consult any man,

1:17. nor did I go up to Jerusalem to see those who were apostles before I was, but I went immediately into Arabia and later returned to Damascus.

1:18. Then after three years, I went up to Jerusalem to get acquainted with Peter and stayed with him fifteen days.

1:19. I saw none of the other apostles--only James, the Lord's brother.

1:20. I assure you before God that what I am writing you is no lie.

1:21. Later I went to Syria and Cilicia.

1:22. I was personally unknown to the churches of Judea that are in Christ.

1:23. They only heard the report: "The man who formerly persecuted us is now preaching the faith he once tried to destroy."

1:24. And they praised God because of me.

SHOWER (Reflection):

You made a great choice to choose Christ as your personal lord and saviour. It pays to serve God. Bible says in John 3:3 that no one can see God unless such a person is born again. This is why we should consider this interesting topic- now you are born again. It is a phrase you can turn to a sentence by saying 'now you're born again what next' or ''what impact has your been born again made on people!" Yes! That is the better of it today. Since you accepted Christ what contributions have you made in the lives of others? How do you now relate or have related to others? What can people say about you without knowing you physically? Apostle Paul said in verses 22 to 23 of today's teaching that Christians at Judea only heard that he has become born again yet they praised God about him. That is what your life should be this year. Don't go on behaving same way, avoiding or forming another clique. You should rather allow your light shine on all around you irrespective of them been born again or not. Let that light win more for God!!!

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God arise, kill anything in me or around me that is still rejecting the manifestations of Holy Ghost ... in Jesus name, Amen.

2. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, as I go out today, I must possess my possessions whether the enemies like or not...in Jesus name, Amen.

3. O God arise, dethrone any man or woman that is still sitting on my seat of favour...in Jesus name, amen.

Giving out to God

DAILY SHOWER January 25, 2023 Devotion and Declarations

Prayer before the Word:

_ O God, I thank You for yet another day. I magnify Your name because You are my God and all I have. Please, use me according to Your will and prosper me in Jesus name, Amen_

TODAY’S TOPIC: Giving out to God

Text: Luke 5:1-8 (NIV):

"5:1. One day as Jesus was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret, with the people crowding around him and listening to the word of God,

5:2. he saw at the water's edge two boats, left there by the fishermen, who were washing their nets.

5:3. He got into one of the boats, the one belonging to Simon, and asked him to put out a little from shore. Then he sat down and taught the people from the boat.

5:4. When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, "Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch."

5:5. Simon answered, "Master, we've worked hard all night and haven't caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets."

5:6. When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break.

5:7. So they signaled their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink.

5:8. When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus' knees and said, "Go away from me, Lord; I am a sinful man!"

SHOWER (Reflection):

Welcome to another new day. First, we are sorry for not reaching out to you for some days now...it was due to some technical issues. But we are fully back. Today, our God is reminding us about one important aspect of life we are neglecting- Giving. The bible says we should give and it shall be given unto us. The measure you use for others will surely get back to you wether good or bad. Here, Simon Peter and other fishermen were tired, having toured all parts of the sea or river without catching anything. However, when a man they do not know encountered them for their boat to be used they offered it immediately. At the end of releasing it to be used for free, they had a huge catch. That was also when they recognised him to be Jesus! Brethren, today's teaching is encouraging us not to be tired of Giving. And to Give mostly when you have nothing! Don't give to people you know alone. Try this and receive blessing this year in Jesus name, Amen.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God arise, kill whatever in me or around me that is preventing me from giving out my time and other resources to God ... in Jesus name, Amen.

2. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I declare and decree every tree planted in my life that is not of God to be burnt to ashes...in Jesus name, Amen.

3. O God arise, force that phone call or contact I need to be celebrated to locate me now by fire...in Jesus name, amen.
