Prayer before the Word: 

 _ O God, my King, my Your name be highly glorified for the gift of life. Forgive my trespasses. Please, show me Your way, and assist me to follow it to the end in Jesus name, Amen_ 

TODAY’S TOPIC: Do not be disturbed when abandoned

Text: Acts 13:43-52 (NIV): 

"14:13. Just as he was speaking, Judas, one of the Twelve, appeared. With him was a crowd armed with swords and clubs, sent from the chief priests, the teachers of the law, and the elders.

14:44. Now the betrayer had arranged a signal with them: "The one I kiss is the man; arrest him and lead him away under guard."

14:45. Going at once to Jesus, Judas said, "Rabbi!" and kissed him.

14:46. The men seized Jesus and arrested him.

14:47. Then one of those standing near drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear.

14:48. "Am I leading a rebellion," said Jesus, "that you have come out with swords and clubs to capture me?

14:49. Every day I was with you, teaching in the temple courts, and you did not arrest me. But the Scriptures must be fulfilled."

14:50. Then everyone deserted him and fled.

14:51. A young man, wearing nothing but a linen garment, was following Jesus. When they seized him,

14:52. he fled naked, leaving his garment behind."

SHOWER (Reflection):

When our Lord Jesus Christ was condemned to be crucified by the Jews, some of his disciples fled the scene. But that did not make Him turn away from fulfilling His purpose on earth. There are some persons who would have cashed on the opportunity to withdraw angrily because it was a sign that the people He was dying for did not worth it! However, He persevered. What does it portend to us? It shows that we must never loose hope or stop doing good things because of persecution. God who created us for that will surely help us to finish strong and enjoy the glory at the end in Jesus name, Amen. 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, anoint me for greatness, empower me to keep doing good even when the world is persecuting me so that I can win the crown at last in Jesus name, Amen.

2. O God I tap from Your grace for excellence. As I move out today, favour shall follow me so that I will return home a successful person in Jesus name, Amen.

3. Every Goliath of my father's house, my work place or where I live, I curse you today. The judgement of God is on you. You must fall down and die so that I will prosper in Jesus name, Amen!!!

Kingdom boldness

TODAY’S TOPIC: Kingdom boldness 

Text: Acts 13:43-52 (NIV): 

"13:42. When the congregation was dismissed, many of the Jews and devout converts to Judaism followed Paul and Barnabas, who talked with them and urged them to continue in the grace of God.

13:44. On the next Sabbath almost the whole city gathered to hear the word of the Lord.

13:45. When the Jews saw the crowds, they were filled with jealousy and talked abusively against what Paul was saying.13:46. Then Paul and Barnabas answered them boldly: "We had to speak the word of God to you first. Since you reject it and do not consider yourselves worthy of eternal life, we now turn to the Gentiles.

13:47. For this is what the Lord has commanded us: "'I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.'"

13:48. When the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and honored the word of the Lord; and all who were appointed for eternal life believed.

13:49. The word of the Lord spread through the whole region.

13:50. But the Jews incited the God-fearing women of high standing and the leading men of the city. They stirred up persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them from their region.

13:51. So they shook the dust from their feet in protest against them and went to Iconium.

13:52. And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Be bold enough to reply them. Don't ever be coward in things of God. If you lack the power and spirit, ask from God. He will give you. The boldness of Paul and other disciples here helped in winning more souls for Christ even among the Gentiles. So what is still delaying you in carrying the cross to your side, street, markets, etc. ? Go ahead to preach the word not minding what people could say or do. It could be what one person or another needs for salvation. 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, make me bold to preach the gospel even in the midst of deadly persecution in Jesus name, Amen.

2. O God do not allow me to become a problem to the kingdom work. Any man or woman that wants to become a problem to my life, die in Jesus name, Amen.

3. O Lord, favour me this day so that I will favour others in Jesus name, Amen!!!

Be watchful

TODAY’S TOPIC: Keep watching 

Text: Mark 13:32-37 (NIV): 

"13:32. No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

13:33. Be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when that time will come.

13:34. It's like a man going away: He leaves his house and puts his servants in charge, each with his assigned task, and tells the one at the door to keep watch.13:35. "Therefore keep watch because you do not know when the owner of the house will come back--whether in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or at dawn.

13:36. If he comes suddenly, do not let him find you sleeping.

13:37. What I say to you, I say to everyone: 'Watch!'"

SHOWER (Reflection):

Keep watching, don't look back it or panic over what might be happening around you. God is set to empower you. A landlord that looks not look out at the happening around him nay loose the land or house. Be watchful because you're God's servant; and wants to excel. 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, help me with the grace to become watchful and expectant in Jesus name, Amen.

2. I declare myself free from the bondage, backwardness, failure and disappointments in Jesus name, Amen.

3. O you powers of near success syndrome waiting for me, die by fire as a march out now to regain all I lost in the past in Jesus name, Amen!!!

TODAY’S TOPIC: God will redeem you 

Text: Micah 4:6-10 (NIV): 

"4:6. In that day," declares the LORD, "I will gather the lame; I will assemble the exiles and those I have brought to grief.

4:7. I will make the lame a remnant, those driven away a strong nation. The LORD will rule over them in Mount Zion from that day and forever.

4:8. As for you, O watchtower of the flock, O stronghold of the Daughter of Zion, the former dominion will be restored to you; kingship will come to the Daughter of Jerusalem."

4:9. Why do you now cry aloud--have you no king? Has your counselor perished, that pain seizes you like that of a woman in labor?

4:10. Writhe in agony, O Daughter of Zion, like a woman in labor, for now you must leave the city to camp in the open field. You will go to Babylon; there you will be rescued. There the LORD will redeem you out of the hand of your enemies."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Welcome to another week. This is the week God has ordained to uplift us. He has promised to remember us this week. And He will surely do that because heaven and earth may pass away, but every word he uttered must come to pass. He assured that whatever we lost last week will be given to us in multiple. 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, I thank You for bringing me into a new week. Please find me worthy of Your elevation. I need Your redemption to move in Jesus name, Amen.

2. I decree that my God will destroy anyone that will dare to stand on my way to greatness. I will go out in joy and return joyously everyday in Jesus name, Amen.

3. This week, people previously against me for whatever reason, will search for me and favour me as they were instructed by God in Jesus name, Amen!!!

Speak the word fearlessly

TODAY’S TOPIC: Speak the word fearlessly 

Text: Jeremiah 26:8-16 (NIV): 

"26:8. But as soon as Jeremiah finished telling all the people everything the LORD had commanded him to say, the priests, the prophets and all the people seized him and said, "You must die!

26:9. Why do you prophesy in the LORD'S name that this house will be like Shiloh and this city will be desolate and deserted?" And all the people crowded around Jeremiah in the house of the LORD.

26:10. When the officials of Judah heard about these things, they went up from the royal palace to the house of the LORD and took their places at the entrance of the New Gate of the LORD'S house.

26:11. Then the priests and the prophets said to the officials and all the people, "This man should be sentenced to death because he has prophesied against this city. You have heard it with your own ears!"

26:12. Then Jeremiah said to all the officials and all the people: "The LORD sent me to prophesy against this house and this city all the things you have heard.

26:13. Now reform your ways and your actions and obey the LORD your God. Then the LORD will relent and not bring the disaster he has pronounced against you.

26:14. As for me, I am in your hands; do with me whatever you think is good and right.

26:15. Be assured, however, that if you put me to death, you will bring the guilt of innocent blood on yourselves and on this city and on those who live in it, for in truth the LORD has sent me to you to speak all these words in your hearing."

26:16. Then the officials and all the people said to the priests and the prophets, "This man should not be sentenced to death! He has spoken to us in the name of the LORD our God."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Welcome to the second Sunday in the month of October. As you go to the church, missionary works or preaching, please be committed to the gospel of salvation, repentance and services to God. Do not fear that people may stop following you or decrease your offering/tithe bags. Not even persecution or threats to life should deter you from speaking the word unadulterated. God, who protected Jeremiah in this verse, will surely protect and preserve you in Jesus name, Amen. He will not fail, He has never fail and will never fail. 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, inspire my words and actions. Do not allow me to shake, shiver or fear when doing Your works. Let the word and actions I take penetrate and help people free for Your sake in Jesus name, Amen.

2. I decree that whatever God planted in my life must arise and shine in Jesus name, Amen.

3. Because the God lives, wherever people fear to go; whatever people failed to achieve; or loose; I shall gain, triumph and emancipate in Jesus name, Amen!!!
