TODAY’S TOPIC: Good leaders offer good Leadership

Text: 2 Chronicles 34:6- (NIV): 

"34:6. In the towns of Manasseh, Ephraim and Simeon, as far as Naphtali, and in the ruins around them,

34:7. he tore down the altars and the Asherah poles and crushed the idols to powder and cut to pieces all the incense altars throughout Israel. Then he went back to Jerusalem.

34:8. In the eighteenth year of Josiah's reign, to purify the land and the temple, he sent Shaphan son of Azaliah and Maaseiah the ruler of the city, with Joah son of Joahaz, the recorder, to repair the temple of the LORD his God.

34:9. They went to Hilkiah the high priest and gave him the money that had been brought into the temple of God, which the Levites who were the doorkeepers had collected from the people of Manasseh, Ephraim and the entire remnant of Israel and from all the people of Judah and Benjamin and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

34:10. Then they entrusted it to the men appointed to supervise the work on the LORD'S temple. These men paid the workers who repaired and restored the temple.

34:11. They also gave money to the carpenters and builders to purchase dressed stone, and timber for joists and beams for the buildings that the kings of Judah had allowed to fall into ruin.

34:12. The men did the work faithfully. Over them to direct them were Jahath and Obadiah, Levites descended from Merari, and Zechariah and Meshullam, descended from Kohath. The Levites--all who were skilled in playing musical instruments--

34:13. had charge of the laborers and supervised all the workers from job to job. Some of the Levites were secretaries, scribes and doorkeepers."

SHOWER (Reflection):

You cannot offer what you don't have. When one is crowned by His Grace, it pays to maintain that line of action. King Josiah was crowned at the age of 8. And he tried his best by following the good steps of his father, David. The end result was good governance and God-fearing nation he entrenched in his time. There is need for you to always pray for a good leader or good leaders. If you know good things to do to also bring them on board which is aside prayer, don't hesitate in doing that. Vote with your conscience during elections...and you will see a big difference.

*PRAYER/DECLARATIONS*

O God, I thank You for the day's teaching. I pray for Your wisdom to internalize and utilise it in Jesus name, Amen.

*1. I am out to make a difference today. God has empowered and will surely help me to become a different person in Jesus name, Amen. 

*2. I am a born champion. And I will remain champion. Everything about me is champion in Jesus name, Amen.

*3. I hereby decree and declare that I have risen to shine because my light has come. I have triumphed over all problems and things of the world in Jesus name, Amen.

 _ O God, I thank You for a bright new day. I pray You to make my way brighter and upright as I study Your word in Jesus name, Amen_ 

TODAY’S TOPIC: Keep fellowshipping together 

Text: Hebrew 10: 19-27 (NIV): 

"10:19.  Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus,

10:20.  by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body,

10:21.  and since we have a great priest over the house of God,

10:22.  let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.

10:23.  Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.

10:24.  And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.

10:25.  Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another--and all the more as you see the Day approaching.10:26.  If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left,

10:27.  but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God."

SHOWER (Reflection):

David said there is joy when they said to me let us be in the house of God (Psalm 122:1). So, it is always good to be in the God's house. That is; fellowshipping with the brethren is necessary. Don't neglect it. Seek to remain with Him. There is joy, love, laughter, peace, progress, etc. in God's house. God's house could be any place where two or more people gather in His name. That is; your house, joint, etc. can do the magic wand too. Give it a trial today by assembling with others to praise God.

O God, I thank You for the day's teaching. I pray for Your wisdom to internalize and utilise it in Jesus name, Amen.

*1. Father do not allow me to enter and leave empty handed in Your house. My expectations are to go home uplifted and joyous in Jesus name, Amen. 

*2. There is no condemnation against me. There will be no condemnation against me. God will continue to make ways for me where there is none in  Jesus name, Amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: The everlasting redemption

Text: Hebrew 10:9-18 (NIV):

"10:9.  Then he said, "Here I am, I have come to do your will." He sets aside the first to establish the second.

10:10. And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

10:11. Day after day every priest stands and performs his religious duties; again and again he offers the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins.

10:12.  But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God.

10:13.  Since that time he waits for his enemies to be made his footstool,

10:14.  because by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.

10:15.  The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First he says:

10:16. "This is the covenant I will make with them after that time, says the Lord. I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds."

10:17. Then he adds: "Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more."

10:18.  And where these have been forgiven, there is no longer any sacrifice for sin."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Jesus came to redeem our sins and reconciled us with God. Today's scripture text explained how people usually go to priests to perform different sacrifices. But Almighty God made it possible for us to be cleansed by offering His son, Jesus on the cross for our everlasting redemption. By doing this, God also put His laws into our hearts. One needs not to consult bible or any law before he discovers that he's going contrary to the will of God because our conscience now judges us. In that case, why would you continue commiting sins? 

*PRAYER/DECLARATIONS*

O God, I thank You for the day's teaching. I pray for Your wisdom to internalize and utilise it in Jesus name, Amen.

*1. I'm a new being because my God has redeemed me. Therefore, am clean forever in Jesus name, Amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: The demons submitted 

Text: Luke 9: 37- (NIV):

"9:37.  The next day, when they came down from the mountain, a large crowd met him.9:38.  A man in the crowd called out, "Teacher, I beg you to look at my son, for he is my only child.

9:39.  A spirit seizes him and he suddenly screams; it throws him into convulsions so that he foams at the mouth. It scarcely ever leaves him and is destroying him.9:40.  I begged your disciples to drive it out, but they could not."

9:41.  "O unbelieving and perverse generation," Jesus replied, "how long shall I stay with you and put up with you? Bring your son here."

9:42.  Even while the boy was coming, the demon threw him to the ground in a convulsion. But Jesus rebuked the evil spirit, healed the boy and gave him back to his father.

9:43.  And they were all amazed at the greatness of God. While everyone was marveling at all that Jesus did, he said to his disciples."

SHOWER (Reflection):

When the demons met our Lord Jesus, they trembled and submitted themselves immediately. But why couldn't the disciples chase away the evil spirits too? It takes the grace of God for one to do certain things very well. If only you can trust Him, follow Him diligently and honourably, you will be able to command demons and they obey you too. Because our bodies are God's temple. Again, we are His children. Therefore, we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. 

*PRAYER/DECLARATIONS*

O God, I pray You to direct and uplift me higher so that I can function effectively in Jesus name, Amen.

*1. By the power in Christ Jesus, I can do all things. I receive the power and anointing to command respect and healing in Jesus name, Amen . 

*2. My God has empowered me to speak life to the dead, and bring more souls to His vineyard in Jesus name, Amen.

*3. I hereby decree and declare that today must be my day of elevation. I shall go out in peace and return in joy in Jesus name, Amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: Partiality and its consequences 

Text: James 2:1-10 (NIV):

"2:1.  My brothers, as believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ, don't show favoritism.

2:2.  Suppose a man comes into your meeting wearing a gold ring and fine clothes, and a poor man in shabby clothes also comes in.

2:3. If you show special attention to the man wearing fine clothes and say, "Here's a good seat for you," but say to the poor man, "You stand there" or "Sit on the floor by my feet,"

2:4.  have you not discriminated among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts?

2:5.  Listen, my dear brothers: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him?

2:6. But you have insulted the poor. Is it not the rich who are exploiting you? Are they not the ones who are dragging you into court?

2:7. Are they not the ones who are slandering the noble name of him to whom you belong?

2:8. If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture, "Love your neighbor as yourself," you are doing right.

2:9. But if you show favoritism, you sin and are convicted by the law as lawbreakers.

2:10. For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Treat everyone equal because we are all equal before God. He created us all and gave unto us different skills and projects to execute before death. If you use because of your wealth, talents or skills to discriminate another person, you sin. The consequences of sin is death. The person you treat as poor today may become rich tomorrow.  

*PRAYER/DECLARATIONS*

O God I thank You for Your kind word. I pray You to let Your word dwell richly in me and bear much fruits in Jesus name, Amen.

*1. O Jesus, by Your word am made perfect and freed from all evils. Empower me not to go against Your will in Jesus name, Amen . 

*2. My God will not give devil opportunity for people to discriminate against me or me to discriminate against people in Jesus name, Amen.

*3. I hereby decree and declare that today must be my day of hearing, anointing and greatness in Jesus name, Amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: My God will remember you

Text: Isaiah 52:1-8 (NIV):

"52:1.  Awake, awake, O Zion, clothe yourself with strength. Put on your garments of splendor, O Jerusalem, the holy city. The uncircumcised and defiled will not enter you again.

52:2.  Shake off your dust; rise up, sit enthroned, O Jerusalem. Free yourself from the chains on your neck, O captive Daughter of Zion.

52:3.  For this is what the LORD says: "You were sold for nothing, and without money you will be redeemed."

52:4. For this is what the Sovereign LORD says: "At first my people went down to Egypt to live; lately, Assyria has oppressed them.

52:5.  "And now what do I have here?" declares the LORD. "For my people have been taken away for nothing, and those who rule them mock," declares the LORD. "And all day long my name is constantly blasphemed.

52:6. Therefore my people will know my name; therefore in that day they will know that it is I who foretold it. Yes, it is I."

52:7.  How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, "Your God reigns!"

52:8.  Listen! Your watchmen lift up their voices; together they shout for joy. When the LORD returns to Zion, they will see it with their own eyes."

SHOWER (Reflection):

When time come, our God will remember you. He does not forget His people. As long as you are in Him, serving and worshipping Him alone, God will call you back and reposition you at the right time.

O Jesus, I thank You for making a way for me where there is none. Remember me Oh Lord, and I will go higher in Jesus name, Amen.

*1. O Jesus, I need Your presence. Remember me that I may go higher in Jesus name, Amen .

TODAY’S TOPIC: Brotherliness in Christ

Text: 1 Cor. 11:17-26 (NIV):

"11:17.  In the following directives I have no praise for you, for your meetings do more harm than good.

11:18.  In the first place, I hear that when you come together as a church, there are divisions among you, and to some extent I believe it.

11:19.  No doubt there have to be differences among you to show which of you have God's approval.

11:20.  When you come together, it is not the Lord's Supper you eat,

11:21.  for as you eat, each of you goes ahead without waiting for anybody else. One remains hungry, another gets drunk.

11:22.  Don't you have homes to eat and drink in? Or do you despise the church of God and humiliate those who have nothing? What shall I say to you? Shall I praise you for this? Certainly not!

11:23.  For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread,11:24.  and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, "This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me."

11:25.  In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me."

11:26.  For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes.

SHOWER (Reflection):

We, the children of God must set examples to the world through our lifestyles. That is how the world can learn from us how to love, cherish and relate with others in Christ Jesus. This can be done when we feed one another, provide helps to those in need, inter-relate and so on. But it is painful that the church today is filled with people who are after their mouths alone. That is bad. And probably one reasons the world hates the righteous. 

*PRAYER/DECLARATIONS*

O Jesus, I thank You for making a way for me where there is none. I pray You to help me preach Christ by living a holy life and love in Jesus name, Amen.

*1. O Jesus, I need Your grace. That I may abide in You and serve You best through my lifestyle and relationship to others. 

*2. My God will not disappoint me this week. I will continue to rise and go higher in Jesus name, Amen.

*3. I hereby decree and declare that today must be my day of hearing, anointing and greatness in Jesus name, Amen.
