Daily Shower is here for propagating the Gospel of Jesus Christ

Rain down, O heavens, from above. Let the clouds pour down righteousness[all the blessings of God]. Let the earth open up, let salvation bear fruit, And righteousness spring up with it; I, the Lord, have created it (Isaiah 45:8).

Time to sanitise the Church of God …

He found the people who were selling oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers sitting at their tables. He made a whip of cords, and drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and the oxen; and He scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables; then to those who sold the doves He said, “Take these things away! Get prepared for the day

DAILY SHOWER July 23, 2022 Devotion and Declarations

Prayer before the Word:

_ O God, my King, my Your name be highly glorified for the gift of life. Forgive my trespasses. Please, shower me with Your unmerited favour. Show me Your way, and assist me to follow it to the end in Jesus  name, Amen_

TODAY’S TOPIC: Get prepared for the day

Text: Luke 17: 27-37 (NIV):

"17:27.  People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all.

17:28.  "It was the same in the days of Lot. People were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building.

17:29.  But the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all.

17:30.  "It will be just like this on the day the Son of Man is revealed.

17:31.  On that day no one who is on the roof of his house, with his goods inside, should go down to get them. Likewise, no one in the field should go back for anything.

17:32.  Remember Lot's wife!

17:33.  Whoever tries to keep his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it.

17:34.  I tell you, on that night two people will be in one bed; one will be taken and the other left.

17:35.  Two women will be grinding grain together; one will be taken and the other left."

17:36.  [Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left.]

17:37.  "Where, Lord?" they asked. He replied, "Where there is a dead body, there the vultures will gather."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Preparation is very important in life. That is why an adage says if you don't plan to win, you plan to fail. There is nothing in life we do without a planning. You plan to sleep, wake up and so on. But today's scripture is reminding us about planning for the last day of our life especially for eternity. The day of rapture! First, you don't know the hour of your death. And not everyone will be alive when the world will end or rapture. But surely the living and the dead shall give accounts of their stewardship that day. However, it is assumed that when one dies is the end of their life on earth, and begining of the journey to hellfire or heaven. Therefore, get prepared not considering the distractions around you. God will help you to excel when you prepare well.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. Jesus is the way, truth and life. I am stepping out today, following that way that leads to life. I believe strongly that He won't disappoint me, Amen.

2. Today, I shall triumph over my challenges. There is no weapon fashioned against me that will ever mature let alone prosper in Jesus name, Amen.

*3. I hereby decree and declare myself as God's territory and zone. Jesus Christ is bringing my friends and destiny helpers to uplift me in Jesus name, Amen.

God of remembrance

DAILY SHOWER July 22, 2022 Devotion and Declarations

Prayer before the Word:

_ O God, my King, my Your name be highly glorified for the gift of life. Forgive my trespasses. Please, shower me with Your unmerited favour. Show me Your way, and assist me to follow it to the end in Jesus  name, Amen_

TODAY’S TOPIC: God of remembrance

Text: 1 Samuel 10:1- 8 (NIV):

"10:1.  Then Samuel took a flask of oil and poured it on Saul's head and kissed him, saying, "Has not the LORD anointed you leader over his inheritance?

10:2.  When you leave me today, you will meet two men near Rachel's tomb, at Zelzah on the border of Benjamin. They will say to you, 'The donkeys you set out to look for have been found. And now your father has stopped thinking about them and is worried about you. He is asking, "What shall I do about my son?"'

10:3.  "Then you will go on from there until you reach the great tree of Tabor. Three men going up to God at Bethel will meet you there. One will be carrying three young goats, another three loaves of bread, and another a skin of wine.

10:4.  They will greet you and offer you two loaves of bread, which you will accept from them.

10:5.  "After that you will go to Gibeah of God, where there is a Philistine outpost. As you approach the town, you will meet a procession of prophets coming down from the high place with lyres, tambourines, flutes and harps being played before them, and they will be prophesying.

10:6.  The Spirit of the LORD will come upon you in power, and you will prophesy with them; and you will be changed into a different person.

10:7.  Once these signs are fulfilled, do whatever your hand finds to do, for God is with you.

10:8.  "Go down ahead of me to Gilgal. I will surely come down to you to sacrifice burnt offerings and fellowship offerings, but you must wait seven days until I come to you and tell you what you are to do."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Our God is great. When He remembers you, your supposed friends and enemies will anoint you, celebrate and jubilate with you. Saul  was never in the picture of those to be crowned a king. But God, who chose him insisted that he must be crowned. At the end of day, it came to pass. So, never you loose hope. God will still remember you. When He does, you will jubilate forever.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. God has remembered me for success. I will continue to be a winner in Jesus name, Amen.

2. I'm in Christ Jesus. Christ Jesus is living in me. I shall not relent in doing good so that I will win the crown.

*3. I hereby decree and declare God's unmerited favour and forward ever in my life in Jesus name, Amen.

Why you must forgive

DAILY SHOWER July 21, 2022 Devotion and Declarations

Prayer before the Word:

_ O God, my King, my Your name be highly glorified for the gift of life. Forgive my trespasses. Please, shower me with Your unmerited favour. Show me Your way, and assist me to follow it to the end in Jesus  name, Amen_

TODAY’S TOPIC: Why you must forgive

Text: Luke 17: 1-10 (NIV):

"17:1.  Jesus said to his disciples: "Things that cause people to sin are bound to come, but woe to that person through whom they come.

17:2.  It would be better for him to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around his neck than for him to cause one of these little ones to sin.

17:3.  So watch yourselves. "If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him.

17:4.  If he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times comes back to you and says, 'I repent,' forgive him."

17:5.  The apostles said to the Lord, "Increase our faith!"

17:6.  He replied, "If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, 'Be uprooted and planted in the sea,' and it will obey you.

17:7.  "Suppose one of you had a servant plowing or looking after the sheep. Would he say to the servant when he comes in from the field, 'Come along now and sit down to eat'?

17:8.  Would he not rather say, 'Prepare my supper, get yourself ready and wait on me while I eat and drink; after that you may eat and drink'?

17:9.  Would he thank the servant because he did what he was told to do?

17:10.  So you also, when you have done everything you were told to do, should say, 'We are unworthy servants; we have only done our duty."

SHOWER (Reflection):

According to today's scripture, sin must surely come our ways. But it is for the person who was tempted to stand their ground and resist it. Therefore, you must forgive the person because temptations must surely come. And the bible says we should forgive even up to seventy times seven times (meaning forever because God, Himself forgives without counting our wrongdoings). It also made us to understand that when you forgive you set your heart and self free... Because someone who is holding grudges against someone will never be at rest, especially whenever the person or their memory meets. Verse 10 of today's scripture also says we should do what we are supposed to do and allow God to do the rest. So, cheer up and free your minds from evil thoughts, grudges and others else you die before your time.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. Increase me faith O God that I must be ready to obey Your commands always. Uplift my soul and spirit to live in peace with all humans in Jesus name, Amen.

2. I'm in Christ Jesus. Christ Jesus is living in me. I shall not relent in doing good so that I will win the crown.

*3. I hereby decree and declare God's unmerited favour and forward ever in my life in Jesus name, Amen.

Righteousness by faith

DAILY SHOWER July 20, 2022 Devotion and Declarations

Prayer before the Word:

_ O God, my King, my Your name be highly glorified for the gift of life. Forgive my trespasses. Please, shower me with Your unmerited favour. Show me Your way, and assist me to follow it to the end in Jesus  name, Amen_

TODAY’S TOPIC: Righteousness by faith

Text: Romans 10: 1-10 (NIV):

"10:1.  Brothers, my heart's desire and prayer to God for the Israelites is that they may be saved.

10:2. For I can testify about them that they are zealous for God, but their zeal is not based on knowledge.

10:3. Since they did not know the righteousness that comes from God and sought to establish their own, they did not submit to God's righteousness.

10:4. Christ is the end of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.

10:5. Moses describes in this way the righteousness that is by the law: "The man who does these things will live by them."

10:6. But the righteousness that is by faith says: "Do not say in your heart, 'Who will ascend into heaven?'" (that is, to bring Christ down)

10:7. "or 'Who will descend into the deep?'" (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead).

10:8. But what does it say? "The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart," that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming:

10:9. That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

10:10. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Sure you know you can proclaim yourself righteous. It could be by obeying, and probably adhering to the laws. Righteousness by law is limited because it follows a certain defined rules and regulations only. By righteousness by faith encompasses and beyond. It entails working by faith, obeying the laws, casting all that concerns you to God in prayer and praises. When God takes care of these, you will surmount the challenges of life. He is the only one with power to overcome and override.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O righteous God, I adore You. Help me to become righteous in Jesus name, Amen.

2. Because Christ Jesus is alive, I will rise beyond the world expectations. Devil and its constituents shall not see me again.

*3. I hereby decree and declare God's favour, supernatural connection and forward ever in Jesus name, Amen.

Kindness

DAILY SHOWER July 19, 2022 Devotion and Declarations

Prayer before the Word:

_ O God, my King, my Your name be highly glorified for the gift of life. Forgive my trespasses. Please, shower me with Your unmerited favour. Show me Your way, and assist me to follow it to the end in Jesus  name, Amen_

TODAY’S TOPIC: Kindness

Text: Luke 16:1-10 (NIV):

"16:1.  Jesus told his disciples: "There was a rich man whose manager was accused of wasting his possessions.

16:2.  So he called him in and asked him, 'What is this I hear about you? Give an account of your management, because you cannot be manager any longer.'

16:3.  "The manager said to himself, 'What shall I do now? My master is taking away my job. I'm not strong enough to dig, and I'm ashamed to beg--

16:4.  I know what I'll do so that, when I lose my job here, people will welcome me into their houses.'

16:5. "So he called in each one of his master's debtors. He asked the first, 'How much do you owe my master?'

16:6. "'Eight hundred gallons of olive oil,' he replied. "The manager told him, 'Take your bill, sit down quickly, and make it four hundred.'

16:7. "Then he asked the second, 'And how much do you owe?' "'A thousand bushels of wheat,' he replied. "He told him, 'Take your bill and make it eight hundred.'

16:8. "The master commended the dishonest manager because he had acted shrewdly. For the people of this world are more shrewd in dealing with their own kind than are the people of the light.

16:9. I tell you, use worldly wealth to gain friends for yourselves, so that when it is gone, you will be welcomed into eternal dwellings.

16:10. "Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much."

SHOWER (Reflection):

You must learn to be kind to people. Don't treat anyone with disdain. But see all and treat all as you would expect God to treat, love or care for you. Don't have some persons to love or treat specially.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, I'm available today. Come around and secure me. And I shall match on without obstacles in Jesus name, Amen.

2. I'm God's servant. He is my security and safety. All my weaknesses He has made perfect that I shall live and prospers in Jesus name, Amen!

*3. I hereby decree and declare open door and divine acceleration in Jesus name, Amen.

Ashamed by His divine intervention

DAILY SHOWER July 18, 2022 Devotion and Declarations

Prayer before the Word:

_ O God, my King, my Your name be highly glorified for the gift of life. Forgive my trespasses. Please, shower me with Your unmerited favour. Show me Your way, and assist me to follow it to the end in Jesus  name, Amen_

TODAY’S TOPIC: Ashamed by His divine intervention

Text: Ezra 8:21-31 (NIV):

"8:21.  There, by the Ahava Canal, I proclaimed a fast, so that we might humble ourselves before our God and ask him for a safe journey for us and our children, with all our possessions.

8:22.  I was ashamed to ask the king for soldiers and horsemen to protect us from enemies on the road, because we had told the king, "The gracious hand of our God is on everyone who looks to him, but his great anger is against all who forsake him."

8:23.  So we fasted and petitioned our God about this, and he answered our prayer.8:24.  Then I set apart twelve of the leading priests, together with Sherebiah, Hashabiah and ten of their brothers,

8:25.  and I weighed out to them the offering of silver and gold and the articles that the king, his advisers, his officials and all Israel present there had donated for the house of our God.

8:26.  I weighed out to them 650 talents of silver, silver articles weighing 100 talents, 100 talents of gold,

8:27.  20 bowls of gold valued at 1,000 darics, and two fine articles of polished bronze, as precious as gold.

8:28.  I said to them, "You as well as these articles are consecrated to the LORD. The silver and gold are a freewill offering to the LORD, the God of your fathers.

8:29.  Guard them carefully until you weigh them out in the chambers of the house of the LORD in Jerusalem before the leading priests and the Levites and the family heads of Israel."

8:30.  Then the priests and Levites received the silver and gold and sacred articles that had been weighed out to be taken to the house of our God in Jerusalem.

8:31.  On the twelfth day of the first month we set out from the Ahava Canal to go to Jerusalem. The hand of our God was on us, and he protected us from enemies and bandits along the way."

SHOWER (Reflection):

When the journey of life becomes tough, make it calm by calling for God's intervention. Our God is usually wonderful. Ezra called for a fast so as to submit themselves to God. And God did intervene.  His intervention made Ezra to become ashamed of calling for soldiers, police and other security operatives for protection. O yes. He felt there was no need of demanding for a security from the world after obtaining favour and spirit security. What is that situation of life you think you can't handle? Call for God divine intervention now! That will make all difference!!!

How you may loose what you have

DAILY SHOWER July 17, 2022 Devotion and Declarations

Prayer before the Word:

_ O God, my King, my Your name be highly glorified for the gift of life. Forgive my trespasses. Please, shower me with Your unmerited favour. Show me Your way, and assist me to follow it to the end in Jesus  name, Amen_

TODAY’S TOPIC: How you may loose what you have

Text: Luke 14: (NIV):

"14:15.  When one of those at the table with him heard this, he said to Jesus, "Blessed is the man who will eat at the feast in the kingdom of God."

14:16. Jesus replied: "A certain man was preparing a great banquet and invited many guests.

14:17. At the time of the banquet he sent his servant to tell those who had been invited, 'Come, for everything is now ready.'

14:18. "But they all alike began to make excuses. The first said, 'I have just bought a field, and I must go and see it. Please excuse me.'

14:19. "Another said, 'I have just bought five yoke of oxen, and I'm on my way to try them out. Please excuse me.'

14:20. "Still another said, 'I just got married, so I can't come.'

14:21. "The servant came back and reported this to his master. Then the owner of the house became angry and ordered his servant, 'Go out quickly into the streets and alleys of the town and bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind and the lame.'

14:22. "'Sir,' the servant said, 'what you ordered has been done, but there is still room.'

14:23. "Then the master told his servant, 'Go out to the roads and country lanes and make them come in, so that my house will be full.

14:24. I tell you, not one of those men who were invited will get a taste of my banquet."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Always respect what you have. When given an opportunity to prove yourself anywhere, ensure you utilise the opportunity.  Do not allow pride, anger and other worldly excuses to prevent you from the crown.

God has given us chance to make a right choice. When you fail to use the opportunity given to you, someone else will be used to fill the vacuum. As you can see in today's scripture, those who failed to honour the invitation from God lost it entirely as God return it to fresh guests. That is why a wise saying claims that opportunity comes but once. I pray we become sensible to utilise every opportunity presented to us in Jesus name, Amen.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, I'm available to attend the banquet, participate or enjoy the good news You prepared for me. Do not let me loose the opportunity in Jesus name, Amen.

2. I hereby declare pride, anger, fear, and other worldly things enemies of progress. They will not see or stop me from attaining the height Almighty God has destined for me in Jesus name, Amen!

*3. I hereby decree and declare that God will open a new door of favour and upliftment for me even before the one am into closed in Jesus name, Amen.
