He found the people who were selling oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers sitting at their tables. He made a whip of cords, and drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and the oxen; and He scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables; then to those who sold the doves He said, “Take these things away! The Young shall grow

DAILY SHOWER March 17, 2023 Devotion and Declarations

Prayer before the Word:

_ O God, I thank You for yet another day. I magnify Your name because You are my God and all I have. Please, use me according to Your will and prosper me in Jesus name, Amen_

TODAY’S TOPIC: Young shall grow

Text: Hebrews 7:7-11 (NIV):

"7:7. Now the law requires the descendants of Levi who become priests to collect a tenth from the people--that is, their brothers--even though their brothers are descended from Abraham.

7:6. This man, however, did not trace his descent from Levi, yet he collected a tenth from Abraham and blessed him who had the promises.

7:7. And without doubt the lesser person is blessed by the greater.

7:8. In the one case, the tenth is collected by men who die; but in the other case, by him who is declared to be living.

7:9. One might even say that Levi, who collects the tenth, paid the tenth through Abraham,

7:10 because when Melchizedek met Abraham, Levi was still in the body of his ancestor.

7:11. If perfection could have been attained through the Levitical priesthood (for on the basis of it the law was given to the people), why was there still need for another priest to come--one in the order of Melchizedek, not in the order of Aaron?

SHOWER (Reflection):

The Young who believes and serves only one true God. Verse 7 says the lesser will receive greater. So strive to make the difference. You can verify and join now. It is never late until is late. He is the authentic God of perfect.

Good shepherd

DAILY SHOWER March 16, 2023 Devotion and Declarations

Prayer before the Word:

_ O God, I thank You for yet another day. I magnify Your name because You are my God and all I have. Please, use me according to Your will and prosper me in Jesus name, Amen_

TODAY’S TOPIC: Good shepherd

Text: John 10:7-13 (NIV):

"10:7. Therefore Jesus said again, "I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep.

10:8. All who ever came before me were thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them.

10:9. I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture.

10:10. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

10:11. "I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.

10:12. The hired hand is not the shepherd who owns the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it.

10:13. The man runs away because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep."

SHOWER (Reflection):

God is our good shepherd indeed. It is only a good shepherd that knows what the sheep need, and struggles day and night to see it actualised. He goes in search of pastures, medication, water, etc. He will also keeps an eye on the sheep to prevent the theft and wolves from invading them. This is exactly what Jesus Christ is all about in our lifestyles. He took away our sins on the calvary ever since and had not relented in providing cover over us. We only need to reciprocate through living a holy life, righteousness, love and obedience. He will never abandon us to suffer or struggle for anything once we are in.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. Jesus Christ I love you. My good shepherd, please do not be tired of shielding and feeding me all the rest of my life ... In Jesus name, Amen.

2. O God arise and level the ground for me that I may march on fearlessly and smoothly...in Jesus name, Amen.

3. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, anything in my life or around me disabusing people mind from blessing me, be roasted by fire...in Jesus name, Amen.

God is like double aged sword

DAILY SHOWER March 15, 2023 Devotion and Declarations

Prayer before the Word:

_ O God, I thank You for yet another day. I magnify Your name because You are my God and all I have. Please, use me according to Your will and prosper me in Jesus name, Amen_

TODAY’S TOPIC: God is double aged sword

Text: Hebrews 4:10-16 (NIV):

"4:10. For anyone who enters God's rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from his.

4:11. Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following their example of disobedience.

4:12. For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

4:13. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

4:14. Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has gone through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess.

4:15. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are--yet was without sin.

4:16. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need."

SHOWER (Reflection):

God is all knowing with knowledge, wisdom and understanding. There is nothing hiding from Him. We must therefore rally round Him to be saved (enter God's rest as in verse 10). He encourages us in today's teaching to stop following our sinful ways or examples. Other things He wants to remind us of are to be trustworthy, confidence, righteous, obedience and truthful. God is not partial but like a double aged sword (verse 12) just as you know that a machete or knife can cut who is handling it whenever the person mishandles it. He can punish you whenever or wherever He chose to if find wanting...so there is nothing like He is my friend so I can now live anyhow and seek His mercy. That is, you don't continue sinning because God is merciful and ever forgiving. Anyone who serves Him must be holy as He is holy.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God of doubled aged sword, arise and cut to pieces whoever is misusing Your name against my rising... In Jesus name, Amen.

2. O God, my father, because You live, I cannot fail to attain my glory this week...in Jesus name, Amen.

3. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, my best must come ...in Jesus name, Amen.

Divine remembrance and restoration

DAILY SHOWER March 14, 2023 Devotion and Declarations

Prayer before the Word:

_ O God, I thank You for yet another day. I magnify Your name because You are my God and all I have. Please, use me according to Your will and prosper me in Jesus name, Amen_

TODAY’S TOPIC: Divine remembrance and restoration

Text: Genesis 41:8-16(NIV):

"41:8. In the morning his mind was troubled, so he sent for all the magicians and wise men of Egypt. Pharaoh told them his dreams, but no one could interpret them for him.

41:9. Then the chief cupbearer said to Pharaoh, "Today I am reminded of my shortcomings.

41:10. Pharaoh was once angry with his servants, and he imprisoned me and the chief baker in the house of the captain of the guard.

41:11. Each of us had a dream the same night, and each dream had a meaning of its own.

41:12. Now a young Hebrew was there with us, a servant of the captain of the guard. We told him our dreams, and he interpreted them for us, giving each man the interpretation of his dream.

41:13. And things turned out exactly as he interpreted them to us: I was restored to my position, and the other man was hanged."

41:14. So Pharaoh sent for Joseph, and he was quickly brought from the dungeon. When he had shaved and changed his clothes, he came before Pharaoh.

41:15. Pharaoh said to Joseph, "I had a dream, and no one can interpret it. But I have heard it said of you that when you hear a dream you can interpret it."

41:16. "I cannot do it," Joseph replied to Pharaoh, "but God will give Pharaoh the answer he desires."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Ecclesiastes 3 verses 1 says there is time for everything under the earth...some realities we are confronted with in today's reading. Joseph who had been in prison for years over a sin he never committed was remembered one day. At an appointed time, God will remember you, your problems and predicaments. He will send people, your destiny helpers to search  for you. All you need is to believe and humbly seek his face always. Don't be tired of doing good no matter the condition or situation. It could be in crises or peace or love that He will remember you. Joseph did good to a fellow prison inmates and God used him to restore Joseph at the right time.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God my father, your son is in dare need, remember me for good and restore me  ... In Jesus name, Amen.

2. O God arise, make my destiny helpers uncomfortable until they move and accomplish all You desired to use them to accomplish in my life ...in Jesus name, Amen.

3. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, every situation or opportunity that can position my life for good, open by fire ...in Jesus name, Amen.

The joy of my heart

TODAY’S TOPIC: The joy of my heart

Text: Psalm 119:105-112 (NIV):

"119:105. Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.

119:106. I have taken an oath and confirmed it, that I will follow your righteous laws.

119:107. I have suffered much; preserve my life, O LORD, according to your word.

119:108. Accept, O LORD, the willing praise of my mouth, and teach me your laws.

119:109. Though I constantly take my life in my hands, I will not forget your law.

119:110. The wicked have set a snare for me, but I have not strayed from your precepts.

119:111. Your statutes are my heritage forever; they are the joy of my heart.

119:112. My heart is set on keeping your decrees to the very end."

SHOWER (Reflection):

The joy of my heart is in Christ Jesus. Yes. Because He is my God and my saviour. Today is another Sunday and we ought to happily to Him in praises. The God who made us to be living among the living is worth celebrating. The verse 105 of today's reading says His word is a lamp, light and power unto my life. Then in 111, we learnt that His statues is our Heritage forever. If you know all these, you surely have nothing to worry about. Therefore, focus on no other gods but Him. Keep trusting Him, with praises and thanksgiving.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O my God, I thank You for another week of praise You just started in my life. It will never end without testimonies in my life ... In Jesus name, Amen.

2. My God has positioned me today for breakthrough that will change my life and generation...in Jesus name, Amen.

3. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, every affliction in my life must varnish today...in Jesus name, Amen.
