DAILY SHOWER March 16, 2023 Devotion and Declarations
Prayer before the Word:
_ O God, I thank You for yet another day. I magnify Your name because You are my God and all I have. Please, use me according to Your will and prosper me in Jesus name, Amen_
TODAY’S TOPIC: Good shepherd
Text: John 10:7-13 (NIV):
"10:7. Therefore Jesus said again, "I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep.
10:8. All who ever came before me were thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them.
10:9. I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture.
10:10. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
10:11. "I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
10:12. The hired hand is not the shepherd who owns the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it.
10:13. The man runs away because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep."
SHOWER (Reflection):
God is our good shepherd indeed. It is only a good shepherd that knows what the sheep need, and struggles day and night to see it actualised. He goes in search of pastures, medication, water, etc. He will also keeps an eye on the sheep to prevent the theft and wolves from invading them. This is exactly what Jesus Christ is all about in our lifestyles. He took away our sins on the calvary ever since and had not relented in providing cover over us. We only need to reciprocate through living a holy life, righteousness, love and obedience. He will never abandon us to suffer or struggle for anything once we are in.
PRAYER/DECLARATIONS
1. Jesus Christ I love you. My good shepherd, please do not be tired of shielding and feeding me all the rest of my life ... In Jesus name, Amen.
2. O God arise and level the ground for me that I may march on fearlessly and smoothly...in Jesus name, Amen.
3. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, anything in my life or around me disabusing people mind from blessing me, be roasted by fire...in Jesus name, Amen.
