Rain down, O heavens, from above. Let the clouds pour down righteousness[all the blessings of God]. Let the earth open up, let salvation bear fruit, And righteousness spring up with it; I, the Lord, have created it (Isaiah 45:8).

Time to sanitise the Church of God …

He found the people who were selling oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers sitting at their tables. He made a whip of cords, and drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and the oxen; and He scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables; then to those who sold the doves He said, “Take these things away! Get up

DAILY SHOWER September 16, 2022 Devotion and Declarations

Prayer before the Word:

_ O God, my King, my Your name be highly glorified for the gift of life. Forgive my trespasses. Please, show me Your way, and assist me to follow it to the end in Jesus name, Amen_

TODAY’S TOPIC: Get up

Text: Acts 10: 9-16 (NIV):

"10:9. About noon the following day as they were on their journey and approaching the city, Peter went up on the roof to pray.

10:10. He became hungry and wanted something to eat, and while the meal was being prepared, he fell into a trance.

10:11. He saw heaven opened and something like a large sheet being let down to earth by its four corners.

10:12. It contained all kinds of four-footed animals, as well as reptiles of the earth and birds of the air.

10:13. Then a voice told him, "Get up, Peter. Kill and eat."

10:14. "Surely not, Lord!" Peter replied. "I have never eaten anything impure or unclean."

10:15. The voice spoke to him a second time, "Do not call anything impure that God has made clean."

10:16. This happened three times, and immediately the sheet was taken back to heaven."

SHOWER (Reflection):

We are often confronted by different challenges. God may be using one to call us to action. It only requires our discerning ability to discover what God actually desires of us. And what God wants us to do. This could be revealed to us through dreams or visions. How do we honour those revelations? Another thing we ought to learn from today's message is to stop discriminating against the living. God told Peter to get up and eat but he started telling God that he won't eat impure food. Are you know by this kind character?

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, give me discerning spirit that I may know when am called by You and the right answer to give in Jesus name, Amen.

2. By the power in the name of Jesus Christ, I must receive a call that will change my life and empower me to change my world, Amen!.

3. I have been empowered to move out and return happily. There is nothing God wants me to gain that I will loose. Financial favour must follow me today wether the devil likes it or not in  Jesus name, Amen.

My compassionate God

Prayer before the Word:

_ O God, my King, my Your name be highly glorified for the gift of life. Forgive my trespasses. Please, show me Your way, and assist me to follow it to the end in Jesus name, Amen_

TODAY’S TOPIC: My compassionate God

Text: Mark 8:1-10 (NIV):

"8:1. During those days another large crowd gathered. Since they had nothing to eat, Jesus called his disciples to him and said,

8:2. "I have compassion for these people; they have already been with me three days and have nothing to eat.

8:3. If I send them home hungry, they will collapse on the way, because some of them have come a long distance."

8:4. His disciples answered, "But where in this remote place can anyone get enough bread to feed them?"

8:5. "How many loaves do you have?" Jesus asked. "Seven," they replied.

8:6. He told the crowd to sit down on the ground. When he had taken the seven loaves and given thanks, he broke them and gave them to his disciples to set before the people, and they did so.

8:7. They had a few small fish as well; he gave thanks for them also and told the disciples to distribute them.

8:8. The people ate and were satisfied. Afterward the disciples picked up seven basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over.

8:9. About four thousand men were present. And having sent them away,

8:10. he got into the boat with his disciples and went to the region of Dalmanutha."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Our God is ever compassionate God. With only seven loaves and few fish, He fed four thousand men. At the end, up to seven basketful of pieces of the food were left. What do we learn from this? We learnt that our God never fails! We learnt that He wants us to be fed spiritually and physically so that we won't fell or be stranded. This is opposite of what we have now in our society. Our men and women of God only remember offerings and tithes to collect. The majority don't remember the needs to feed their members physically too. This ought not to be so. Let's have a rethink and move the church of God forward.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O Jesus, thank You for feeding me physically and spiritually. I receive the food with faith. They have permanently transformed my life to be a good ambassador of Christ on Earth in Jesus name, Amen.

2. By Your grace O God, I am marching forward to win the battles of the earth. I cannot shake or run away from my responsibilities in Jesus name, Amen!.

3. I will follow Jesus to the end. He knows my needs. He will not fail me today in Jesus name, Amen.

My Covenant Keeping God

DAILY SHOWER September 14, 2022 Devotion and Declarations

Prayer before the Word:

_ O God, my King, my Your name be highly glorified for the gift of life. Forgive my trespasses. Please, show me Your way, and assist me to follow it to the end in Jesus name, Amen_

TODAY’S TOPIC: My Covenant  keeping God

Text: Deuteronomy 5:1-10 (NIV):

"5:1. Moses summoned all Israel and said: Hear, O Israel, the decrees and laws I declare in your hearing today. Learn them and be sure to follow them.

5:2. The LORD our God made a covenant with us at Horeb.

5:3. It was not with our fathers that the LORD made this covenant, but with us, with all of us who are alive here today.

5:4. The LORD spoke to you face to face out of the fire on the mountain.

5:5. (At that time I stood between the LORD and you to declare to you the word of the LORD, because you were afraid of the fire and did not go up the mountain.) And he said:

5:6. "I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.5:7. "You shall have no other gods before me.

5:8. "You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below.

5:9. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me,5:10. but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Our God is a covenant keeping God. Covenant is a sacred or revered agreement between two people; man and man or woman and woman (for business purposes), man and woman (marriage) or God and man. It is usually done in the presence of a third party who acts as witness, interpreter, reminder or whatever. It gives direction, stipulates rules and regulations, among other benefits. Once it is binding, the parties are supposed to enjoy each other. Today, God is reminding us of His covenant with us. To serve Him alone as God in truth and honesty. If you do that, He will bless you enormously. If you don't, problems, condemnations and failures follow. So, what is your covenant with God? The year is coming to an end. Have you achieved your sets goals and objectives? If not, think and make an amend by keeping to your covenant with Him.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, I am sorry for not to sticking to my covenant with You. Please, rebuilt and help me to keep my covenant with you in Jesus name, Amen.

2. O God, the covenant keeper. The year is coming to an end. Stand up and destroy whoever or whatever that is preventing me from keeping to Your covenant. Force the door for my celebration open in Jesus name, Amen!

3. Jesus is my God. Heaven is my target. I shall not lack but have abundance to give out to the people around me in  Jesus name, Amen.

Man proposes, God disposes

DAILY SHOWER September 13, 2022 Devotion and Declarations

Prayer before the Word:

_ O God, my King, my Your name be highly glorified for the gift of life. Forgive my trespasses. Please, show me Your way, and assist me to follow it to the end in Jesus name, Amen_

TODAY’S TOPIC: Man proposes, God disposes

Text: Acts 9:1-9 (NIV):

"9:1. Meanwhile, Saul was still breathing out murderous threats against the Lord's disciples. He went to the high priest

9:2 and asked him for letters to the synagogues in Damascus, so that if he found any there who belonged to the Way, whether men or women, he might take them as prisoners to Jerusalem.

9:3 As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him.

9:4 He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, "Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?"

9:5 "Who are you, Lord?" Saul asked. "I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting," he replied.

9:6 "Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do."

9:7 The men traveling with Saul stood there speechless; they heard the sound but did not see anyone.

9:8 Saul got up from the ground, but when he opened his eyes he could see nothing. So they led him by the hand into Damascus.

9:9 For three days he was blind, and did not eat or drink anything."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Our God is not a man that fails. He is a marvelous God, and does things in a marvelous and miraculous way. Can't you imagine how a hunter became hunted? Saul proposed to kill more Christians as he usually does. And the request was granted by a worldly king or leader. But what of God? He rejected the request. Remarkably, God didn't reject it by striking Saul to death. Not even by stopping him from embarking on the journey. For sure, He would have made him to forget it that day or sleep off, etc. Wonderful God decided to allow him to finish the preparation, dragged him outside before stopping him. He didn't just stopped him...He did it by replacing his thoughts and actions with things of God. That is to show us that His way is not our way. So, when praying a times, try to wait on the Lord to know if He has other better things or plans. The person you want Him to kill might be a useful tool that can be used to change the world. Therefore, be careful and rather ask Him to spare your life and that of your family by asking for His will to be done.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, I submit myself to You. Let Your will be done in Jesus name, Amen.

2. O God, my life and that of my family members must not be used for sacrifice by the enemies who will repent tomorrow. Spare O Lord to serve You well in Jesus name, Amen!.

3. Arrest my arresters, destroy my destroyers, O Lord. Bring more souls to Your vineyard because I live in Jesus name, Amen.

Tradition of men

DAILY SHOWER September 12, 2022 Devotion and Declarations

Prayer before the Word:

_ O God, my King, my Your name be highly glorified for the gift of life. Forgive my trespasses. Please, show me Your way, and assist me to follow it to the end in Jesus name, Amen_

TODAY’S TOPIC: Tradition of Men

Text: Mark 7: 4-13 (NIV):

"7:4. When they come from the marketplace they do not eat unless they wash. And they observe many other traditions, such as the washing of cups, pitchers and kettles.)

7:5. So the Pharisees and teachers of the law asked Jesus, "Why don't your disciples live according to the tradition of the elders instead of eating their food with 'unclean' hands?"

7:6. He replied, "Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it is written: "'These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.

7:7. They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men.'

7:8. You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to the traditions of men."

7:9. And he said to them: "You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of God in order to observe your own traditions!

7:10. For Moses said, 'Honor your father and your mother,' and, 'Anyone who curses his father or mother must be put to death.'

7:11. But you say that if a man says to his father or mother: 'Whatever help you might otherwise have received from me is Corban' (that is, a gift devoted to God),

7:12. then you no longer let him do anything for his father or mother.

7:13. Thus you nullify the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down. And you do many things like that."

SHOWER (Reflection):

The world is polarised or divided along people interest and love. There are doctrines everywhere guiding and dictating acceptable ways of lives to people. God's own tradition which ought to be superior than tradition of men are often relegated. All these doctrines we used to train ourselves are the major reasons the Church is too divided. This church sees the need to marry or relate to that church as a taboo. Our God hates this because He is author and finisher of our Faith. He wants our yes to be yes, our know to be know. For instance, He made us to understand that if you want to wash a cup or pot, do well wash both the inside and outside. That is, be holy because Himself is Holy. Don't obey this law, and reject the other because it is not convenient to you.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, forgive my trespasses and inspire me to live a fulfilled life that hates hypocrites in Jesus name, Amen.

2. I believe in Jesus. This week is my new week for excellence and advancements in all ramifications in Jesus name, Amen!.

3. I will succeed September 2022. O God, kill and destroy whoever that is planning or routing for my death in this Ember month in Jesus name, Amen.

Be at peace with all

DAILY SHOWER September 11, 2022 Devotion and Declarations

Prayer before the Word:

_ O God, my King, my Your name be highly glorified for the gift of life. Forgive my trespasses. Please, show me Your way, and assist me to follow it to the end in Jesus name, Amen_

TODAY’S TOPIC: Be at peace with all

Text: Colossians 3:15- 25 (NIV):

"3:15. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.

3:16. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.

3:17. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.Instructions for Christian Households

3:18. Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.

3:19. Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them.

3:20. Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord.

3:21. Fathers, do not embitter your children, or they will become discouraged.3:22. Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything; and do it, not only when their eye is on you and to win their favor, but with sincerity of heart and reverence for the Lord.

3:23. Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men,

3:24. since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

3:25. Anyone who does wrong will be repaid for his wrong, and there is no favoritism.

SHOWER (Reflection):

We are charged to be at peace to all people around us. The wives are encouraged to be submissive; husband asked to be lovely; children enjoined to be respectful; slaves to be obedient; and fathers to love all. All these are necessary to build our daily lives, spiritual and physical growth. This is because no one is better or greater than another before God. He treats us equally and wants us to extend same to others. Unfortunately, reverse is the case in our country today. Let us have a rethink and return back to our factory setting Christianity.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, empower me to do only that approved by You. By Your grace, I won't fail on my responsibility in Jesus name, Amen.

2. I am not moved by the threats of the enemies. I will not succumb to their whims and capillaries. I am an overcomer today, tomorrow and forever in Jesus name, Amen!.

3. Whatever that is holding or delaying my blessings, I send the Holy Ghost fire after you. Be destroyed and burnt to ashes so that I will go in Jesus name, Amen.
