Reason to dedicate to God

Prayer before the Word: 

 _ O God, I thank You for yet another day. I magnify Your name because You are my God and all I have. Please, use me according to Your will and prosper me in Jesus name, Amen_ 

TODAY’S TOPIC: Importance of dedication 

Text: 2 Samuel 8:9-15 (NIV):

"8:9. When Tou king of Hamath heard that David had defeated the entire army of Hadadezer,

8:10. he sent his son Joram to King David to greet him and congratulate him on his victory in battle over Hadadezer, who had been at war with Tou. Joram brought with him articles of silver and gold and bronze.

8:11. King David dedicated these articles to the LORD, as he had done with the silver and gold from all the nations he had subdued:

8:12. Edom and Moab, the Ammonites and the Philistines, and Amalek. He also dedicated the plunder taken from Hadadezer son of Rehob, king of Zobah.

8:13. And David became famous after he returned from striking down eighteen thousand Edomites in the Valley of Salt.

8:14. He put garrisons throughout Edom, and all the Edomites became subject to David. The LORD gave David victory wherever he went.

8:15. David reigned over all Israel, doing what was just and right for all his people."

SHOWER (Reflection):

To dedicate is to show gratitude to God or someone for their contributions towards the person. King David throughout his life proved that he was worthless before God, worthless without God and worthless after God. That was why whenever he wants to embark on a journey or a course or cause, he would first seek the face of God. And whatever God says, he would abide by. And whenever God gives him victory too, he would give back the glory to him. As a result, he kept rising and became famous, according to what is written in this chapter. What is it you want to do you think you can do it alone because you have money or time or some other resources? What do you do whenever you gain victory? Learn to always give glory to God and He will forever make you prosperous and healthy. 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, my father, I humble myself before You. Give me reason and the world reason to reference and reverence You forever ... In Jesus name, Amen 

2. I am a servant of the Most High God. You enemy of peace, I command you to drink your blood and eat your fresh for peace to reign in Jesus name, Amen.

3. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, whoever that is seated on my sit of glory must be dethroned before the end of this week...in Jesus name, Amen.

Do not harden your heart

TODAY’S TOPIC: Do not harden your heart  

Text: Psalm 95:1-10 (NIV):

"95:1. Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.

95:2. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.

95:3. For the LORD is the great God, the great King above all gods.

95:4. In his hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to him.

95:5. The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land.

95:6. Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker;

95:7. for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care. Today, if you hear his voice,

95:8. do not harden your hearts as you did at Meribah, as you did that day at Massah in the desert,

95:9. where your fathers tested and tried me, though they had seen what I did.

95:10. For forty years I was angry with that generation; I said, "They are a people whose hearts go astray, and they have not known my ways."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Heart is a hidden treasure. Every living thing has it. It's a power house for decision making and others. When Israelites wanted to leave Egypt, Pharaoh's was hardened that he never listened to the call. When they were eventually released, same pharaoh sent his men to recapture them. The people set free also later hardened their hearts as you can see in verse 8. It makes no sense people will change overnight not minding the goodness of God unto them. God is telling us that a percussion to this include sickness, backwardness, sickness, stagnancy and death. God hates it. So free from it now!!! 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, any man or woman who hardened their heart in order to kill me, I command you to die mysteriously .. In Jesus name, Amen 

2. O God arise, level the proud who are constituting selves as mountains before my rising ..in Jesus name, Amen.

3. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I must wear the crown of success...in Jesus name, Amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: Humility in Service   

Text: Luke 14:1-10 (NIV):

"14:1. One Sabbath, when Jesus went to eat in the house of a prominent Pharisee, he was being carefully watched.

14:2There in front of him was a man suffering from dropsy.

14:3. Jesus asked the Pharisees and experts in the law, "Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath or not?"

14:4. But they remained silent. So taking hold of the man, he healed him and sent him away.

14:5. Then he asked them, "If one of you has a son or an ox that falls into a well on the Sabbath day, will you not immediately pull him out?"

14:6. And they had nothing to say.

14:7. When he noticed how the guests picked the places of honor at the table, he told them this parable:

14:8. "When someone invites you to a wedding feast, do not take the place of honor, for a person more distinguished than you may have been invited.

14:9. If so, the host who invited both of you will come and say to you, 'Give this man your seat.' Then, humiliated, you will have to take the least important place.

14:10. But when you are invited, take the lowest place, so that when your host comes, he will say to you, 'Friend, move up to a better place.' Then you will be honored in the presence of all your fellow guests."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Our Lord Jesus Christ in today's message demonstrated His passion to save life, humility personified and love once again. First, He dined and wined with socalled sinners, low life people and the poor. As if it was not enough, he set the sick free amidst the people who believed that doing such amounts to working on Sunday. Jesus wants us to have human feelings always, to be humble and love all. 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. Sweet Jesus, thank You for loving and keeping us without condition. Help us to learn from this... In Jesus name, Amen 

2. No matter what the devil say or do today, O God, my father do not allow my blessings pass me by...in Jesus name, Amen.

3. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I am unshakable amidst challenges of life ...in Jesus name, Amen.

4. Anointing that cannot be insulted, fall upon my life and give me victory over the earthly protocols...in Jesus name, Amen.
