Rain down, O heavens, from above. Let the clouds pour down righteousness[all the blessings of God]. Let the earth open up, let salvation bear fruit, And righteousness spring up with it; I, the Lord, have created it (Isaiah 45:8).

He found the people who were selling oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers sitting at their tables. He made a whip of cords, and drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and the oxen; and He scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables; then to those who sold the doves He said, “Take these things away!  DAILY SHOWER May 21, 2022 Devotion and Declarations

Prayer before the Word:

_Dear God, I thank You that am alive today. I pray You to enable me turn a new leaf after reading Your word today in Jesus name, Amen_

TODAY’S TOPIC: Beware of the hypocrites

Text: Luke 6:1-11 (NIV):

"6:1 One Sabbath Jesus was going through the grainfields, and his disciples began to pick some heads of grain, rub them in their hands and eat the kernels.

6:2 Some of the Pharisees asked, "Why are you doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath?"

6:3 Jesus answered them, "Have you never read what David did when he and his companions were hungry?

6:4 He entered the house of God, and taking the consecrated bread, he ate what is lawful only for priests to eat. And he also gave some to his companions."

6:5 Then Jesus said to them, "The Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath."

6:6 On another Sabbath he went into the synagogue and was teaching, and a man was there whose right hand was shriveled

6:7 The Pharisees and the teachers of the law were looking for a reason to accuse Jesus, so they watched him closely to see if he would heal on the Sabbath.

6:8 But Jesus knew what they were thinking and said to the man with the shriveled hand, "Get up and stand in front of everyone." So he got up and stood there

6:9 Then Jesus said to them, "I ask you, which is lawful on the Sabbath: to do good or to do evil, to save life or to destroy it?"

6:10 He looked around at them all, and then said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." He did so, and his hand was completely restored.

6:11 But they were furious and began to discuss with one another what they might do to Jesus."

*SHOWER:*

The hypocrites could come to you as friends even when they are enemies. There are also hypocrites who could approach you in their full behaviour. You found from today's scripture how the Pharisees were hunting for various reasons they could use to accuse Jesus. But Jesus was aware and he didn't allow that to stop Him from performing miracle. So, you too must not allow the behaviours, traps and accusations of the hypocrites to prevent you from doing good. Know what is right and stand by that despite all the challenges. God will forever make way for you... Amen!

*PRAYER/DECLARATIONS*

*2. My foundation is in Christ Jesus. No evil, challenges of the world and wants of the fresh can stop me.

_Dear God, I thank You for another great opportunity of feeding from Your word. I pray You to allow me learn and implement them in Jesus name, Amen_

TODAY’S TOPIC: Don't sale your birthright

Text: Genesis 25: 29-34 (NIV):

"25:29 Once when Jacob was cooking some stew, Esau came in from the open country, famished.

25:30 He said to Jacob, "Quick, let me have some of that red stew! I'm famished!" (That is why he was also called Edom.)

25:31 Jacob replied, "First sell me your birthright."

25:32 "Look, I am about to die," Esau said. "What good is the birthright to me?"

25:33 But Jacob said, "Swear to me first." So he swore an oath to him, selling his birthright to Jacob.

25:34 Then Jacob gave Esau some bread and some lentil stew. He ate and drank, and then got up and left. So Esau despised his birthright.

*SHOWER:*

The world is full of up and down; challenges and crisis. But do not allow them to control you. Do not sale your birthright. Birthright is that which distinguishes you from others. It is the right of possession you were endowed by God from the birth. Once you were the first to come out of your mother's womb, you remain the first till death. You can see from this passage how Esau sold his because of hunger. If you read further you will see the percussion, the effects or how the action ruined his life. Many of us have used because of money, hunger, joblessness or so to sale our destiny to deities, occults, prostitution, etc. Too bad. Kindly retrace your footsteps now to avoid the consequences. God is ready to accept and uplift you as you make that choice in Jesus name, Amen!!!

*PRAYER/DECLARATIONS*

Lord Jesus, I honour and adore You again. Please let Your word sink in me and bear best fruits so that I won't be deceived to sale my birthright in Jesus name, Amen.

*1. I hereby declare and decree Holy Ghost fire on anything that wants to stand as barrier to my destiny in Jesus name, Amen.

*2. With God by my side, God in me and God my shepherd, I will keep rising to impact positively on my generation.

*3. I and my family will not die but live to praise God forever in Jesus name, Amen.*

Unity of a whole

Prayer before the Word:

_O God, I worship You for making me a living testimony today. Please open my eyes to behold Your goodness in Jesus name, Amen_

TODAY’S TOPIC: Unity of a whole

Text: 1 Peter 3:1-7 (NIV):

"3:1 Wives, in the same way be submissive to your husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives,

3:2 when they see the purity and reverence of your lives.

3:3 Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes.

3:4 Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight.

3:5 For this is the way the holy women of the past who put their hope in God used to make themselves beautiful. They were submissive to their own husbands,

3:6 like Sarah, who obeyed Abraham and called him her master. You are her daughters if you do what is right and do not give way to fear.

3:7 Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers."

*SHOWER:*

Welcome to our today's spiritual digest, spiritual food. Our God is reminding us to treat each other with respect. He says the wives should be submissive to their husbands, while the husbands should show love to them. Where there is love, there is peace and growth. Again, it is because marriage or family was instituted by God. Let's get our homes right so that we can get an eternal life at the end "

*PRAYER/DECLARATIONS*

O  God, I thank You for taking charge of my life. I hereby decrease for You to increase in my life in Jesus name, Amen.

*1. My father, empower and strengthen me to build a happy home.

*2. My God has anointed me to build a happy home. Therefore, no evil man or woman can make me loose it.

*3. I hereby decree and declare that today may pass by but God will not forget to bless me in Jesus name, Amen.*

An encounter that changes all things

DAILY SHOWER May 18, 2022 Devotion and Declarations

Prayer before the Word:

_O God, I thank You for today. Please open my eyes that I may know You and walk accordingly in Jesus name, Amen_

TODAY’S TOPIC: An encounter that changes all things

Text: Luke 5:1-11 (NIV):

"5:1 One day as Jesus was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret, with the people crowding around him and listening to the word of God,

5:2 he saw at the water's edge two boats, left there by the fishermen, who were washing their nets.

5:3 He got into one of the boats, the one belonging to Simon, and asked him to put out a little from shore. Then he sat down and taught the people from the boat.

5:4 When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, "Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch."

5:5 Simon answered, "Master, we've worked hard all night and haven't caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets."

5:6 When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break.

5:7 So they signaled their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink.

5:8 When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus' knees and said, "Go away from me, Lord; I am a sinful man!"

5:9 For he and all his companions were astonished at the catch of fish they had taken,

5:10 and so were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, Simon's partners. Then Jesus said to Simon, "Don't be afraid; from now on you will catch men."

5:11 So they pulled their boats up on shore, left everything and followed him."

*SHOWER:*

Simon and his colleagues had toured round the rivers  without been able to catch fish. The fishmongers had probably thrown their nets/traps all over the rivers unsuccessfully. But immediately they encountered Jesus Christ, they caught more than they had ever caught in their lives. That is our Lord's Jesus Christ ways of doing things. Once He comes into your life, you will receive all you had lost in the past. Why not encounter Him today? Stop procrastinating...kneel down and seek His face. He will surely deliver us!!!

*PRAYER/DECLARATIONS*

O  God, I thank You for talking to me again. I have made up my mind to follow You. Please use me for Your kingdom works in Jesus name, Amen.

*1. My father, my God; I am available today. Come into my life and set me free from bondages.

*2. The Lord, God has come in to perfect all that concerns me. I hereby recover all my lost with faith.

*3. I hereby decree and declare a testimony change in my life. All that I need to showcase the light of God in my life are coming over to me now in Jesus name, Amen.*

Submit yourself to the Authority

DAILY SHOWER May 17, 2022 Devotion and Declarations

Prayer before the Word:

_O God, I thank You for today. Please open my eyes that I may know You and walk accordingly in Jesus name, Amen_

TODAY’S TOPIC: Submit yourself to the Authority

Text: 1 Peter 2: 11-15 (NIV):

"2:11 Dear friends, I urge you, as aliens and strangers in the world, to abstain from sinful desires, which war against your soul.

2:12 Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us.

2:13 Submit yourselves for the Lord's sake to every authority instituted among men: whether to the king, as the supreme authority,

2:14 or to governors, who are sent by him to punish those who do wrong and to commend those who do right.

2:15 For it is God's will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish men.

*SHOWER:*

Today's scripture urges us to submit ourselves to the various constituted authorities because by doing so, we will stop people from speaking evil or commiting other vices. Constituted authorities are the husbands at homes, fathers, elders, your boss, seniors and others you have at the offices and so on. God ordained leaders. That is why you must respect those anointed by God to lead you. If you can't respect them how would you expect others to do same when you're lifted to those positions? In fact, would you even be lifted to exalted positions when you don't value them?

*PRAYER/DECLARATIONS*

O  God, I thank You for always instructing me accordingly. Help me to follow Your path alone in Jesus name, Amen.

*1. God that exalts men and women has exalted me. I must obey the constituted authorities because am an authority.

*2. Therefore, any evil alter that will dare to stop me is hereby destroyed and burnt forever.

*3. I hereby decree and declare today my day to be remembered for good. Men and women shall look at me and see thousands reasons to worship God alone in  Jesus name, Amen.*

Welcome the strangers

DAILY SHOWER May 16, 2022 Devotion and Declarations

Prayer before the Word:

_O God, I thank You for today. Please open my eyes that I may know You and walk accordingly in Jesus name, Amen_

TODAY’S TOPIC: Welcome the Strangers

Text: Genesis 18:1-15 (NIV):

"18:1 The LORD appeared to Abraham near the great trees of Mamre while he was sitting at the entrance to his tent in the heat of the day.

18:2 Abraham looked up and saw three men standing nearby. When he saw them, he hurried from the entrance of his tent to meet them and bowed low to the ground.

18:3 He said, "If I have found favor in your eyes, my lord, do not pass your servant by.

18:4 Let a little water be brought, and then you may all wash your feet and rest under this tree.

18:5 Let me get you something to eat, so you can be refreshed and then go on your way--now that you have come to your servant." "Very well," they answered, "do as you say."

18:6 So Abraham hurried into the tent to Sarah. "Quick," he said, "get three seahs of fine flour and knead it and bake some bread."

18:7 Then he ran to the herd and selected a choice, tender calf and gave it to a servant, who hurried to prepare it.

18:8 He then brought some curds and milk and the calf that had been prepared, and set these before them. While they ate, he stood near them under a tree.

18:9 "Where is your wife Sarah?" they asked him. "There, in the tent," he said.

18:10 Then the LORD said, "I will surely return to you about this time next year, and Sarah your wife will have a son." Now Sarah was listening at the entrance to the tent, which was behind him.

18:11 Abraham and Sarah were already old and well advanced in years, and Sarah was past the age of childbearing.

18:12 So Sarah laughed to herself as she thought, "After I am worn out and my master is old, will I now have this pleasure?"

18:13 Then the LORD said to Abraham, "Why did Sarah laugh and say, 'Will I really have a child, now that I am old?'

18:14 Is anything too hard for the LORD? I will return to you at the appointed time next year and Sarah will have a son."

18:15 Sarah was afraid, so she lied and said, "I did not laugh." But he said, "Yes, you did laugh."

*SHOWER:*

Welcome the strangers to your house and remain blessed. Bible says that Abraham was visited by strangers. He quickly welcomed them and  prepared a dish for them to eat. That kind gesture settles his barringness. The most remarkable thing is that it was done at their old age. So, what are you passing through in life that you think it would become impossible till eternity? Hearken unto God now. But let how you treat strangers change. You never can tell if they are the God sent to set you free.

*PRAYER/DECLARATIONS*

O  God, I thank You for setting me free. Help to understand and distingush between strangers you sent to save me and strangers sent to kill by the devil in Jesus name, Amen.

*1. God will visit me today spiritually and physically. And my story must change from worst to best as He walks in into my life.

*2. I will be uplifted as a shining star to give the light to my household and the world at large.

*3. I hereby decree and declare that I will laugh last. All those who laughed at me in the past shall be astonished as they witness God's upliftment in my life in Jesus name, Amen.*

Humility we need in the house of God

DAILY SHOWER May 15, 2022 Devotion and Declarations

Prayer before the Word:

_O God, I thank You for today. Please open my eyes that I may know You and walk accordingly in Jesus name, Amen_

TODAY’S TOPIC: Humility in the house of God

Text: 1 Corrithians 15:1-11 (NIV):

"15:1 Now, brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand.

15:2 By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.

15:3 For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,

15:4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,

15:5 and that he appeared to Peter, and then to the Twelve.

15:6 After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep.

15:7  Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles,

15:8 and last of all he appeared to me also, as to one abnormally born.

15:9 For I am the least of the apostles and do not even deserve to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

15:10 But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them--yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.

15:11Whether, then, it was I or they, this is what we preach, and this is what you believed."

*SHOWER:*

We all know how Paul was captured and refocus hid mind on God. This was captured vividly in verses 15-26 and some people are enjoying it. However, he still considers himself as a least Apostle. But today, we most Christians who see selves as God because of little services they currently render in the house of God. This is an error we must correct.

*PRAYER/DECLARATIONS*

O  God help me to stand and keep to Your word in Jesus name, Amen.

*1. God help me to be humble and law abiding. I need Your support to become a good Christian.

*2. I will lack nothing because God of Holiness is forever showing me the way, the truth and the life

*3. I hereby decree and declare that with God by my side everything I need to excel in life has been granted me in Jesus name, Amen.*
