TODAY’S TOPIC: The path that gains more attention

Text: John 18:31-40 (NIV):

18:31. Pilate said, "Take him yourselves and judge him by your own law." "But we have no right to execute anyone," the Jews objected.

18:32. This happened so that the words Jesus had spoken indicating the kind of death he was going to die would be fulfilled.

18:33. Pilate then went back inside the palace, summoned Jesus and asked him, "Are you the king of the Jews?"

18:34. "Is that your own idea," Jesus asked, "or did others talk to you about me?"

18:35. "Am I a Jew?" Pilate replied. "It was your people and your chief priests who handed you over to me. What is it you have done?"

18:36. Jesus said, "My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jews. But now my kingdom is from another place."

18:37. "You are a king, then!" said Pilate. Jesus answered, "You are right in saying I am a king. In fact, for this reason I was born, and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me."

18:38. "What is truth?" Pilate asked. With this he went out again to the Jews and said, "I find no basis for a charge against him.

18:39. But it is your custom for me to release to you one prisoner at the time of the Passover. Do you want me to release 'the king of the Jews'?"

18:40. They shouted back, "No, not him! Give us Barabbas!" Now Barabbas had taken part in a rebellion."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Welcome to a new month. May God bless and keep us to enjoy the dividends of the month in Jesus name, Amen. There are many things to learn and unlearn from today's reading. We must learn the superiority of God and humility personified as Jesus 'dribbled' them in a calm way. Jesus showed us his passion to accomplish His work on earth. We will also unlearn the world habits of picking the bad in place of the good. 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. I bow before You, my father and my Lord. Please, mould and empower me to serve You in truth and honesty this month in Jesus name, Amen 

2. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, the month of April shall favour me beyond my expectations in Jesus name, Amen.

3. O God arise, melt and break every ancient door or window in my father's house in  Jesus name, Amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: Be ware of unforgiven Spirit

Text: 2 Samuel 13:28-34(NIV):

"13:28. Absalom ordered his men, "Listen! When Amnon is in high spirits from drinking wine and I say to you, 'Strike Amnon down,' then kill him. Don't be afraid. Have not I given you this order? Be strong and brave."

13:29. So Absalom's men did to Amnon what Absalom had ordered. Then all the king's sons got up, mounted their mules and fled.

13:30. While they were on their way, the report came to David: "Absalom has struck down all the king's sons; not one of them is left."

13:31 The king stood up, tore his clothes and lay down on the ground; and all his servants stood by with their clothes torn.

13:32. But Jonadab son of Shimeah, David's brother, said, "My lord should not think that they killed all the princes; only Amnon is dead. This has been Absalom's expressed intention ever since the day Amnon raped his sister Tamar.

13:33. My lord the king should not be concerned about the report that all the king's sons are dead. Only Amnon is dead."

13:34 Meanwhile, Absalom had fled. Now the man standing watch looked up and saw many people on the road west of him, coming down the side of the hill. The watchman went and told the king, "I see men in the direction of Horonaim, on the side of the hill."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Unforgiveness is act of refusing to forgive people or holding grudges against people for old sin. It could be sins committed to oneself or to ones friends or relatives. This could bring about violence revolutions, too fighting, death, etc. Remember that the word of God says if someone slaps you in one cheek, turn the other one. We all know how painful it is but adhering to it is the best. If you try to reciprocate or revenge, you may overdo it. But if you allow God, He will perfectly do it while you rest. 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, my father, give me forgiven spirit that I may run away from evil...in Jesus name, Amen.

2. O God my father, I am powerless to confront my enemies. Please, fight back for me till my enemies are conquered in Jesus name, Amen. 

3. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I kick away all the problems and challenges of life inherited from my parents that are currently struggling for my life ...in Jesus name, Amen.

4. O you month of March, I command you by the power in the blood of Jesus Christ to terminate together with whatever spirit or personality struggling to terminate my life...in Jesus name, Amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: Be a good example 

Text: John 13:5-14 (NIV):

"13:5. After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples' feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him.

13:6. He came to Simon Peter, who said to him, "Lord, are you going to wash my feet?"

13:7. Jesus replied, "You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand."

13:8. "No," said Peter, "you shall never wash my feet." Jesus answered, "Unless I wash you, you have no part with me."

13:9. "Then, Lord," Simon Peter replied, "not just my feet but my hands and my head as well!"

13:10. Jesus answered, "A person who has had a bath needs only to wash his feet; his whole body is clean. And you are clean, though not every one of you."

13:11. For he knew who was going to betray him, and that was why he said not every one was clean.

13:12. When he had finished washing their feet, he put on his clothes and returned to his place. "Do you understand what I have done for you?" he asked them.

13:13. "You call me 'Teacher' and 'Lord,' and rightly so, for that is what I am.

13:14. Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another's feet."

SHOWER (Reflection):

God seemed to be telling us today, now you have been saved, save others. Now you have seen the way, show others the way. Now you have seen the light, rekindles others lights... A good Christian must be the salt of the nation, a Christlike inside and outside. Try this and experience greatness in Jesus name, Amen.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, my father, close down every loophole in my life or family being used by the enemy to attack me...in Jesus name, Amen 

2. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I will not surrender nor retrieve back until the wicked troubling my home is conquered ...in Jesus name, Amen.

3. O God arise, empower me to empower others  ...in Jesus name, Amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: Living purposeful life

Text: John 12:23-28 (NIV):

"12:23. Jesus replied, "The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified.

12:24. I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.

12:25. The man who loves his life will lose it, while the man who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.

12:26. Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.

12:27. "Now my heart is troubled, and what shall I say? 'Father, save me from this hour'? No, it was for this very reason I came to this hour.

12:28. Father, glorify your name!" Then a voice came from heaven, "I have glorified it, and will glorify it again."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Our Lord Jesus Christ maintained the reason for His coming. Even when it was time for His death, there was a temptation or distraction which made Him ask God if the cup can pass Him by but was told that it is through it that God will be glorified. Brethren, this appeals to us to always seek the face of God in all circumstances with a view to understanding why we are where we are. God has a great reason for creating you big or small, in poor or rich home, in one unknown or renowned village, etc. Discover this purpose and use it to glorify His name. Do not allow the love or lust of the fresh to deny you the crown. Think of what would have happened to us if Jesus had decided not to die on the cross again. Then, you will discover what people could be passing through because of your refusal to do the works of God. 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God my father, kill the spirit of pride and selfishness that is trying to drag me away from fulfilling my divine destiny in Jesus name, Amen 

2. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I refuse to submit to the wickedness of the wicked in my family, work place and residence ...in Jesus name, Amen.

3. O God arise, force down the rain of favour and promotions to fall for me before the end of this March ...in Jesus name, Amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: Trusting in God in all circumstances 

Text: Lamentations 3:19-29  (NIV):

"3:19. I remember my affliction and my wandering, the bitterness and the gall.

3:20. I well remember them, and my soul is downcast within me.

3:21. Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope:

3:22. Because of the LORD'S great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.3:23They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

3:24. I say to myself, "The LORD is my portion; therefore I will wait for him."

3:25. The LORD is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him;

3:26. it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD.

3:27. It is good for a man to bear the yoke while he is young.

3:28. Let him sit alone in silence, for the LORD has laid it on him.

3:29. Let him bury his face in the dust--there may yet be hope."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Today the book of lamentations is reminding us that the love of God is divine. We must not be perturbed over the current situation we are probably into. There is hope ahead. When you do good as a youth, you will enjoy it at old age. Rejoice because God is our portion. Everything about us is and should be in God. 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God my father, command the ground to open and swallow every satanic stronghold in my life, business or family in Jesus name, Amen 

2. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, every agenda of the enemy over my life shall return back to the senders...in Jesus name, Amen.

3. O God arise, open my doors of favour, upliftment and dominion  ...in Jesus name, Amen.
