Prayer before the Word:
_ O God, I thank You for yet another day. I magnify Your name because You are my God and all I have. Please, use me according to Your will and prosper me in Jesus name, Amen_
TODAY’S TOPIC: Offer your body as living sacrifice
Text: Romans 12:1-10 (NIV):
12:1. Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God--this is your spiritual act of worship.
12:2. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.
12:3. For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you.
12:4. Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function,
12:5. so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others."
SHOWER (Reflection):
We are charged to offer our body as living sacrifice because it is temple of God. We are created in God's own image and likeness. Therefore, we must not conform to the things or pattern of the world. Again, today's teaching is reminding us the needs to love one another, appreciate others gifts and allow them to manifest their God's gifts as we manifest ours. Don't see your own as the best or only perfect gift. A preacher cannot preach when there are no congregation, prayer warrior is to be complemented by a singer or preacher, Viz . May God help us to understand this and carry others along when we perform the works of God and wherever we are in Jesus name, Amen.
PRAYER/DECLARATIONS
1. O you spirit of pride on assignment to pull me down, be scattered by the fire in the name of Jesus, Amen.
2. O God arise, disgrace and set on fire, evil foundation in my father's house so that I will be totally free from their bondage, in Jesus name, Amen.
3. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I recover all I have lost in the past in Jesus name, Amen.
