TODAY’S TOPIC: Let Your Light Shine  

Text: Luke 11:33-36 (NIV):

"11:33. No one lights a lamp and puts it in a place where it will be hidden, or under a bowl. Instead he puts it on its stand, so that those who come in may see the light.

11:34. Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eyes are good, your whole body also is full of light. But when they are bad, your body also is full of darkness.

11:35. See to it, then, that the light within you is not darkness.

11:36. Therefore, if your whole body is full of light, and no part of it dark, it will be completely lighted, as when the light of a lamp shines on you."

SHOWER (Reflection):

God created us in His own image. He made us to be His true representatives or likeness on earth. That alone is light. A light is supposed to be set on a table or higher ground where it should beam and chase away darkness from around. As light, God wants us to be His ambassadors. We are therefore urged to reflect or showcase Christ Jesus everywhere we go. Don't let it be only in church or at homes. But behave well everywhere you find yourself. And God will keep strengthening and promoting you in Jesus name, amen.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. With Your grace O God, I shall continuously beam the light that others will see and glorify Your name, in Jesus name, Amen.

2. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, my going out today must be a blessing, I won't return empty handed...in Jesus name...Amen.

3. O God arise, destroy those who want to destroy me, uplift those who want to uplift me, in Jesus name, amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: Be persistence  

Text: Romans 2:6-10 (NIV):

"2:6. God "will give to each person according to what he has done."

2:7. To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life.

2:8. But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger.

2:9. There will be trouble and distress for every human being who does evil: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile;

2:10. but glory, honor and peace for everyone who does good: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile."

SHOWER (Reflection):

God is ever merciful, kind and love. Don't ever think your prayers won't receive positive answers. Don't hesitate in asking as He commanded us in Matthew 7:7 to keep asking. He knows our various needs but wants to see that we get them at the right time. Persistence is act of sustaining a course or fight, keeping going and doing the right thing- never stop helping people because of their attitudes. Sometimes, the next person you are giving help may be that right person God wants to use to uplift you. 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. My father, my God, destroy every self conceited life in me and empower me to be patience and persistence till I gain the glory You meant for me in Jesus name, Amen.

2. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I shall match forward to attain the price of serving God. ..in Jesus name...Amen.

3. O God arise, make my promotion the next thing to be celebrated this month in  Jesus name, amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: Living above self 

Text: 2 Samuel 18:24-33 (NIV):

18:24. "While David was sitting between the inner and outer gates, the watchman went up to the roof of the gateway by the wall. As he looked out, he saw a man running alone.

18:25. The watchman called out to the king and reported it. The king said, "If he is alone, he must have good news." And the man came closer and closer.

18:26. Then the watchman saw another man running, and he called down to the gatekeeper, "Look, another man running alone!" The king said, "He must be bringing good news, too."

18:27. The watchman said, "It seems to me that the first one runs like Ahimaaz son of Zadok." "He's a good man," the king said. "He comes with good news."

18:28. Then Ahimaaz called out to the king, "All is well!" He bowed down before the king with his face to the ground and said, "Praise be to the LORD your God! He has delivered up the men who lifted their hands against my lord the king."

18:29. The king asked, "Is the young man Absalom safe?" Ahimaaz answered, "I saw great confusion just as Joab was about to send the king's servant and me, your servant, but I don't know what it was."

18:30. The king said, "Stand aside and wait here." So he stepped aside and stood there.

18:31. Then the Cushite arrived and said, "My lord the king, hear the good news! The LORD has delivered you today from all who rose up against you."

18:32. The king asked the Cushite, "Is the young man Absalom safe?" The Cushite replied, "May the enemies of my lord the king and all who rise up to harm you be like that young man."

18:33. The king was shaken. He went up to the room over the gateway and wept. As he went, he said: "O my son Absalom! My son, my son Absalom! If only I had died instead of you-- O Absalom, my son, my son!"

SHOWER (Reflection):

 When you are a true child of God, you will know what to do at all times to escape the danger of taking God's glory. You take God's glory when you try to praise yourself or show a sign of happiness towards people that are suffering in any way. It is true that the world we live in can try everything at every time to force us to conform to it but we must allow God to fight for us. King David was not just announced as a man after God's heart. He lived it, displayed it and maintained it all through. He never projected himself when his supposed enemy, King Saul was against him. His two children who equally rose against him such as Adonijah and Absalom were shown love up to death. This is how God wants us to maintain a good relationship with Him and we will not regret it because He promised to always fight for us. And He will continue to fight for us in Jesus name, Amen.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God arise and pay back in full fold to every tongue or hand that will rise against me , in Jesus name, Amen.

2. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I am unstoppable by the situations and people around me. I will continue to rise ...in Jesus name...Amen.

3. O God, my father, as I show favour to all this week and beyond, locate and uplift me equally in Jesus name, amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: The price of worshipping God 

Text: Luke 9:10-17  (NIV):

 

9:10." When the apostles returned, they reported to Jesus what they had done. Then he took them with him and they withdrew by themselves to a town called Bethsaida,

9:11. but the crowds learned about it and followed him. He welcomed them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who needed healing.

9:12. Late in the afternoon the Twelve came to him and said, "Send the crowd away so they can go to the surrounding villages and countryside and find food and lodging, because we are in a remote place here."

9:13. He replied, "You give them something to eat." They answered, "We have only five loaves of bread and two fish--unless we go and buy food for all this crowd."

9:14. (About five thousand men were there.) But he said to his disciples, "Have them sit down in groups of about fifty each."

9:15. The disciples did so, and everybody sat down.

9:16. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke them. Then he gave them to the disciples to set before the people.

9:17. They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over."

SHOWER (Reflection):

First, we are sorry for not coming your way with quotations and declarations for about three days now. It was due to a technical issue beyond our control. We pray and strategies to prevent it future ocurrence. 

Brethren, today's message is very simple. We mighty have studied the particular bible message for long. Today, we shall consider it from a point of seek you the kingdom of God and every other things shall be added unto you. God is not joking when He says it because His word is final. These crowd that came to seek God's message and miracle were probably not expecting food and accommodation. But when Jesus saw they need them, He provided for them immediately. That is His way when you seek and serve Him diligently. He will give you food, wealth and other things you need to survive. Don't get tired of serving Him. Even ants and birds have nothing to do but they feed every time.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God, arise and puncture everything in me that is trying to prevent me from serving You alone , in Jesus name, Amen.

2. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I shall rise above my equals without competition because God has made me the head not a tail...in Jesus name...Amen.

3. Every agenda of wickedness over my life, I nullify you in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

4. O God, my father, favour me this week beyond the expectations of my people in Jesus name, amen.

Overcoming the world

TODAY’S TOPIC: Overcoming the world  

Text: 1 John 5:1-10 (NIV):

 

"5:1. Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well.

5:2. This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out his commands.

5:3. This is love for God: to obey his commands. And his commands are not burdensome,

5:4. for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.

5:5. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.

5:6. This is the one who came by water and blood--Jesus Christ. He did not come by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth.

5:7. For there are three that testify:

5:8. the Spirit, the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement.

5:9. We accept man's testimony, but God's testimony is greater because it is the testimony of God, which he has given about his Son.

5:10. Anyone who believes in the Son of God has this testimony in his heart. Anyone who does not believe God has made him out to be a liar, because he has not believed the testimony God has given about his Son."

SHOWER (Reflection):

The world is under the care and command's of God. Upon the creation, God gave us power to overcome, subdue and dominate it. Unfortunately, devil is not allowing us to take control of the world again. God is telling us today that it is still possible for us to dominate, be fruitful and dominate the world. The task ahead is to love God. You can only prove it when you obey the God's command, treat others equally with love and humility.  

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. Arise o God, prove to the world Your are still my God by setting on fire the negatives stigma of my life , in Jesus name, Amen.

2. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I must beget a child this year because my God has said I must be fruitful in Jesus name...Amen.

3. My destiny helpers, become restless until you locate me for good so that I will be happy and equally bless those I am there destiny helpers in Jesus name, Amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: Utilise every opportunity

Text: Luke 8:40-48 (NIV):

 

"8:40 Now when Jesus returned, a crowd welcomed him, for they were all expecting him.

8:41 Then a man named Jairus, a ruler of the synagogue, came and fell at Jesus' feet, pleading with him to come to his house

8:42 because his only daughter, a girl of about twelve, was dying. As Jesus was on his way, the crowds almost crushed him.

8:43 And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years, but no one could heal her.

8:44 She came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak, and immediately her bleeding stopped.

8:45 "Who touched me?" Jesus asked. When they all denied it, Peter said, "Master, the people are crowding and pressing against you."

8:46 But Jesus said, "Someone touched me; I know that power has gone out from me."

8:47 Then the woman, seeing that she could not go unnoticed, came trembling and fell at his feet. In the presence of all the people, she told why she had touched him and how she had been instantly healed.

8:48 Then he said to her, "Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace."

SHOWER (Reflection):

Bible says that faith is assurance of things hoped for and evidence of things not seen, adding that it is by it we shall see God. Because we know that faith heals and command's respect, we must not joke with it. If you don't apply faith, you may never go far in life. A woman with issue of blood understood this and had to summon courage to touch Jesus' cloak when others were interested in having Him to pray for them or visit their houses. This is a reality of life. Sometimes what God would use to heal or set us free from bondage may be to just say "I am healed" or carry any work for God in church, neighborhood or so. So never neglect these things when you see them. Opportunity comes once. Invest in yourself and you will see reasons to praise God. Be fearless and you will go higher in life as already ordained by the God, almighty.

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God my father, empower me to discover and utilise every opportunity in life for Your goodness, in Jesus name, Amen.

2. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, my time to smile has arrived, my destiny cannot be truncated in Jesus name...Amen.

TODAY’S TOPIC: Beware of God you serve

Text: 1 John 4:1-10 (NIV):

"4:1. Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

4:2. This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God,

4:3. but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.

4:4. You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.

4:5. They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them.

4:6. We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood.

4:7. Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.

4:8. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

4:9. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.

4:10. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins."

SHOWER (Reflection):

We are told today to test every spirit to be sure it is from God before we can accept. Don't just jump from one church or place of worship to another without inquiring from God. Be sure it is Godly, serves the true God and stands for God. God loves, so His children and church must love unconditionally too. 

PRAYER/DECLARATIONS

1. O God my father, lead me to Your true worship Centre so that I don't walk and worship amiss in Jesus name, Amen.

2. By the power in the blood of Jesus Christ, I subdue the power of fresh, and march on to win the crown in Jesus name...Amen.

3. O God arise, send down the rain of fire and thunderstorms to destroy every stronghold impeding my breakthrough in Jesus name, Amen.
