*DAILY SHOWER January 5, 2022 Devotion and declarations*
Prayer before the Word:
_O Lord, receive praises, honour and adorations for the gifts of life and health you bestowed upon me and family today. Guide my words and actions as I study your word in Jesus name, Amen_ .
*TODAY’S THEME: Are you partial or notice me?*
TEXT: Galatians 2:5-9.
"[5]To them we did not yield submission even for a moment, that the truth of the Gospel might continue to be [preserved] for you [in its purity].
[6]Moreover, [no new requirements were made] by those who were reputed to be something–though what was their individual position and whether they really were of importance or not makes no difference to me; God is not impressed with the positions that men hold and He is not partial and recognizes no external distinctions–those [I say] who were of repute imposed no new requirements upon me [had nothing to add to my Gospel, and from them I received no new suggestions].
[7]But on the contrary, when they [really] saw that I had been entrusted [to carry] the Gospel to the uncircumcised [Gentiles, just as definitely] as Peter had been entrusted [to proclaim] the Gospel to the circumcised [Jews, they were agreeable];
[8]For He Who motivated and fitted Peter and worked effectively through him for the mission to the circumcised, motivated and fitted me and worked through me also for [the mission to] the Gentiles.
[9]And when they knew (perceived, recognized, understood, and acknowledged) the grace (God's unmerited favor and spiritual blessing) that had been bestowed upon me, James and Cephas (Peter) and John, who were reputed to be pillars of the Jerusalem church, gave to me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship, with the understanding that we should go to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised (Jews)."
*SHOWER:*
Brethren, we are grateful to God for making it possible for us to be here today. God, who did it purposely to preach His gospel through us, has a WORD for us today. Be impartial and humble are two basic things He wants us to hold unto today. What is that position you're holding today that's making you to feel on top of the world? In this endtime, some even feel that their church is better than others. There are many who preferred to be given special recognition or treatment due to their sociatal status or authority. God is saying that He doesn't want all these to be seen or heard among us. This year shouldn't be like that. We must keep them off our feet. We must be practical Christians because our God is practical God. So, in your business, at homes, offices, groups, schools and so on, always remember to treat all equally irrespective of their closeness, relationship or status. Don't be a billboard/signpost that stands tall to be noticed always. Let Christ be seen through your actions and inactions.
*PRAYER/DECLARATIONS*
Oh God, I am submitting myself unto you. Use me as an instrument in your Hands. I am ready to forsake my position or self in order to help spread the Gospel in Jesus name I pray, Amen.
*1. My God is impartial. Therefore, no one will treat me partially today and forevermore*
*2. I'm serving an impartial God. Therefore, I won't treat anyone impartially. *
*3. My God has humbled those who are making themselves enemies unto me. I hereby humble myself so as to be uplifted by God.*
*4. Today, I shall be greatly favoured by all those coming towards my directions.*
*5. I hereby decree and declare, that I shall testify of God's favour and miracles in my life in Jesus name, amen!*
