DAILY SHOWER April 6, 2022 Devotion and Declarations
Prayer before the Word:
_O God, I bow before Your throne of mercy; forgive my sins, open my eyes that I may know and follow You alone in Jesus name, Amen_
TODAY’S TOPIC: Keep asking; do not be discouraged.
Text: Luke 18:1-8 (NIV Bible)
"18:1 Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.
18:2 He said: "In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared about men.
18:3 And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, 'Grant me justice against my adversary.'
18:4 "For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, 'Even though I don't fear God or care about men,
18:5 yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won't eventually wear me out with her coming!'"
18:6 And the Lord said, "Listen to what the unjust judge says.
18:7 And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off?
18:8 I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?"
*SHOWER:*
How many times have you requested for something from God? Did you get instant answers to your prayers or requests from God? Jesus is telling us not to be discouraged or get tired of asking. A little child that's desirous of a gift or food from the parent (s) will keep crying until he/she gets the gift item. So, why easily gets discouraged when the answers to your prayers seemed to be delayed? Pray consistently with faith. God will surely grant your heart desires in Jesus name, Amen!
*PRAYER/DECLARATIONS*
O God, I thank You for feeding me this morning. I pray for Your divine powers and inspiration to keep on praying till I get answers to my prayers in Jesus name, Amen!
*1. My God is wonderful. He has increased my faith so that I won't ask amiss or faithlessly.*
*2. My God has uplifted me. The world distractions around me will never make me to stop asking diligently from God.
*3. I hereby decree and declare that I will not lack again. I shall be bless in the morning, afternoon and night throughout this month of April in Jesus name, Amen.*
