Displacing the righteous man

DAILY SHOWER April 14, 2022 Devotion and Declarations

Prayer before the Word:

_O God, I bow before Your throne. I'm sorry for my sin. Guide me that I may know You well and win more souls for Your kingdom in Jesus name, Amen_

TODAY’S TOPIC: Displacing the righteous man

Text: Luke (NIV Bible)

"23:18 With one voice they cried out, "Away with this man! Release Barabbas to us!'

23:19 (Barabbas had been thrown into prison for an insurrection in the city, and for murder.)

23:20 Wanting to release Jesus, Pilate appealed to them again.

23:21 But they kept shouting, "Crucify him! Crucify him!"

23:22 For the third time he spoke to them: "Why? What crime has this man committed? I have found in him no grounds for the death penalty. Therefore I will have him punished and then release him."

23:23 But with loud shouts they insistently demanded that he be crucified, and their shouts prevailed.

23:24 So Pilate decided to grant their demand.

23:25 He released the man who had been thrown into prison for insurrection and murder, the one they asked for, and surrendered Jesus to their will."

*SHOWER:*

This period in Christendom calls for a sober reflection, total repentance and charity. Jesus Christ is a perfect example of what we call leadership by example. He paid the ultimate price. Unfortunately, the world replaced Him with a criminal. This is what we behold in the present generation. Some have rejected him because of mere love of money, new jobs, food, etc. I pray we learn, relearn about Him and become wiser now by disengaging or stopping any act of rejecting Jesus

*PRAYER/DECLARATIONS*

O God, I have learnt not to disappoint You again. Help me to adhere to my new intention to serve You alone in Jesus name, Amen!

*1. I'm for Jesus and Jesus alone. I cannot withdraw from serving Him because He loved me.*

*2. By the reason for His death and resurrection, I won't suffer for the sins I never committed again. I will live to shine forth.*

*3. I hereby decree and declare that perfect and open doors to myself in Jesus name, Amen.*
